SKiN, A NOVEL: FOR SALE

ASK: ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH (a prominent Chicago Artist/Writer/Eventologist) unites 10 of the Greatest TOYS ever manufactured in Contemporary Times; adds ample Doses of Imagination, Conversation, Mystery & Merriment to find and discover profound and never before conceived Ways to remove RACISM, The Crux of Hatred, Despair & Bad (if not sinister & uncivilized) Behavior that still vehemently burns, plagues and lurks deeply in Man Today circa The 21ST Century…NOW…in the compelling 295 Page, 69,206 Word Book she incredulously penned in merely 147 Days, entitled:

SKiN: HOW 10 BELOVED PLUSH TOYS REDEFINE RACE ©2009.

Affecting us all, this Subject is brought to Life at this Pivotal Point in History via KOOPERSMITH’s unique and unwavering Blend & Brand of Communication, Experiences & Wisdom that contain a mesmerizing, yet haunting Effect that alludes to and invokes the stark Reality of RACISM and swift Realization as to how PREJUDICE can (and must) be erased by examining the prevailing Factors that make this Subject an unsuitable and unsavory Part of Man’s Make-up, Demeanor & Character. SKiN’s Text alone provides that distinct(ive) Challenge and acts as a functioning Catalyst giving The Movie Industry a Chance to address and respond to THE BOOK, One well-worth immortalizing on The Golden Screen, for Man Today and Future Generations as he humbly & peacefully resides with all Creatures on Planet Earth.

She didn't die in vein...

Chicago, IL USA: But then again, she was far to young to die AT ALL. Such is the universal feeling for the Murder of Miss Somer Thompson who was walking to school last week in a small quiet Floridian Town when she was grabbed and murdered. A total heart-ache, the story made national news as a country again is startled at what has become ALMOST a daily occurrence. This, of course, is different from inner city shootings and killings of Students going and coming from school, but then again, these acts are the taking of Life, which is not condonable.

Therefore, I sent my:

PUTTING KIDS ON BIKES' Message
of October 22, 2009 (that was merely posted on my Blog here 5 days ago)

to

President Barack Obama.

I've always been known to take my projects to the TOP. It stated:

Dear President Obama: The Murder of the Child, SOMER THOMPSON is an atrocity that must be stopped once and for all. I strongly feel I have a terrific idea on how to HELP KIDS HELP themselves as they travel (on a bike) through Life. It is posted on my blog and follows for your serious Consideration. On behalf of billions of people across the planet, I thank you. After all, we Adults who (were once children) ‘made it’ were the fortunate ones.

For those who wish to get involved in The Crusade -- as a major Bike Manufacturer -- should be involved as well as moneyed moguls who can foot the bills, as well as a Venture Capitalist who wants to work closely with me -- to develop the Concept furtehr as I devise the Literature, the time is now.

Merely email me at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

to discuss this further. A day of good news would be such a welcome(d) change.

Somer Thompson didn't have a Bike. Somer Thompson is dead...

Chicago, IL USA: Actually, the adorable Little Florida Gal was murdered. This represents yet another escalating and scalding number of horrific Deaths that I have personally witnessed the last 50 years of Kids being abducted and later butchered.

This morning, the NBC NYC Female Anchor stated at the end of her news reel some very important yet disturbing Words (that could prove to be instrumental in this case) and those were:

"No bus route. Somer had to walk to school."

As a person who has ridden a bike since age 6 (when I got my first Trike in Mendota, Illinois, a small farming community 100 miles southwest of Chicago), I cannot put a price on my WHEELS -- but I can honestly say NOW that if Somer Thompson had a Bike on that fate-ful day, she may be alive today.

Granted bus routes cannot criss-cross every home situated across America, but BIKES can, should and have...they have saved me valuable time, as well as probably 'outbiking' a Predator who did not have good intentions as to my health, wealth and safety.

This was the Thought that popped into my Mind when I heard this story unfold. IF ONLY Somer had a bike, this would NOT have happened to her...in all her Innocence and Child-like Beauty.

MY POA: PLAN OF ACTION:

What major Bike Manufacturers should now seriously consider is a Campaign called:

PUT KIDS ON BIKES
or
PUT KIDS ON WHEELS (C)2009

The Bikes do not need to be expensive. In larger Cities, Bike Theft Rings prevail - and have made Bike Robberies a major Endeavor of making extra money. What I'm talking about is expanding a Child's Horizon(s) by getting him or her their very own BIKE.

HOW EXCITING IS THAT!

They can travel to school quicker and easier as well as visit friends or go to community centers and/or grocery stores (even to the mall) -- all the while keeping the Environment GREEN and fume-free.

By being MOBILE, Young Children are less likely to be abducted by a Predator, Pedaphile and/or child molester who has a vehicle (car/van/jeep) and can sweep that 'Baby' away forever. Let's also not forget other harm that is on the street as pit bulls, that may attack if riled.

Not only is biking a means of getting to one's destination quicker, but I (for one) have taken 4 inches of baby fat from my hips by BIKING on a daily bases. Now, after 12 years of consistently riding every Day no matter what the weather happens to be doing, I say I'm both a Writer & a Rider and the 2 mix in refreshing ways.

Undoubtedly, there are areas and regions where Biking is not do-able in inclement Weather...but gosh, gee-whiz, once THE BIKE BUG has bitten you, you will find a way to bike 24/7 and year-round. It's a fun activity (a convenient compulsion) that keeps a person as free as the wind, while setting an Example for Fitness. And in extreme cases,

BIKING CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE

from evil Elements - like the one that ended Somer's Life.

In a nutshell: It only takes common sense to KNOW that it is harder to stop a Child on a bike than to grab one (physically) off a street - which is the M.O. of child predators, when they see a kid on foot. Bikes even serves Adults well who are snatched and grabbed and never come back to their loved ones and family. Let's STOP once and for all any more Somer Thompsons from getting murdered.

A CONCERNED CITIZEN's PLEA: Hey, let's ban together and get this Bike Campaign going, America. It is an excellent Idea. If it saves one kid's life (as it has saved mine on many occasions), then it has worked.

I may be contacted at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

for more info - idea-tossing, etc. regarding:

PUT KIDS ON BIKES.

It's an Concept whose time is far overdue. Peddling your Way through a Safe Day is thematic in all of our Travel Bouts (through Life). I'm sure Somer would have liked it. In retrospect is OUT, Action is now demanded.

A POSTSCRIPT follows that I penned a few moments ago that pertains to an OnLine Article from Orange Park, Florida, home of Somer Thompson.

===================

This is the saddest, saddest of all stories. I am from Chicago where Brian Dugan (a reputed Child Molester) is on trial for killing several innocent children in the mid-80s. It's taken over 25 years until justice is being served. Coincidentally, both our City Dailies: The Tribune & Sun-Times have run the cover story in picture format of 1 of the gal's who was with 1 of Dugan's murdered victims -- now a woman of 32 who is still haunted by what had happened so many years ago when she was just 8.

Being 25 years older and born in 1952 (which was considered a simpler and safer time), I distinctively remember a lifetime of innocent children being abducted and killed.

FAST FORWARDING TO TODAY. On many occasions since I moved to Chicago in May of 1974, I have been able to 'get away' -- because I ride a bike. I know this sounds terrifically 'simplistic,' but there really must be a campaign for Kids to have access in order to gain the ability and mobility to JUST BIKE AWAY FROM TROUBLE.

As Somer did -- walking to school -- although it's great exercise, if given the opportunity to BIKE, this heinous crime may not have happened. A Bike provides a child (and older person, too, of course) with the agility to GET AWAY from any predator. I thought I'd advance this theory so this does not ever happen again.

Biking is not only effective for kids, but my bike has saved my life on a few occasions when gang-bangers were after me.

Please give it some thought when you plan for your and your child's day ahead.

Sincerely, ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith

Peddling into 6 Figures. It can be done....

Chicago, IL USA:

Monday, October 5th was a Biking Milestone as is today: Monday, October 19th -- some 2 weeks ago. And, if the Speedometer was really on track - as it may be about 6 miles off the beaten track, the Milestone of

3500 Miles

peddled from May 29, 2008 to now has been achieved.

All within 2 weeks time. That's a great record to hold and boast about, considering the Weather Chicago experiences.

While having to take public transportation on Saturday, I found that it's a greater inconvenience than necessary. A north bound train had to be rerouted to go 4 stops south, before customers - call them riders -- had to reboard and head north on another Train that was destined to go back to the very spot where the southbound fiasco began.

Where would I have been at this time if enbiked on the road? About 1 mile north and closer to my destination with an extra $2.25 in my pocket. Now, you can see why I prefer biking over any other kind of travel. Time and Money are 2 commodities most are short of these days -- and one that is enpowered if you ONLY bike your days away.

And it was 20 years ago today...

that on October 17, 1989 I was in Los Angeles -- doing a photo shoot with the incredible Photographer, Make-Up Artist & Hair Stylist - JON ABEYTA...for a series of pictures that I needed for my Promotional Bits, Bytes and Stunts. This may have been the catalyst that got me interested in Photography that would later lead (some 15 years later) to do the Shootings for:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

a book I've written that is being followed up by a Movie Script -- with Critters and Creatures as cute as can be that any top Movie Mogul including:

Steven Spielberg & Spike Lee

would enjoy directing, producing and subsequently making a Lasting Impression with.

It doesn't take alot of money to persue an interest in the Arts of which I have crusaded many endeavors including:

CARTOONISTS AGAINST CRIME &
Eventology: The Art of Event-Making (C)1990

but in this day and age -- when everyone thinks they are a photographer, artist or writer -- finding that audience and way IN to the next level is the problem so many face.

Twenty Years X 365 Days is a lot of time to devote to anything -- marriages included. Use it to the best of your ability - as that time will disappear in no time flat...1989 - 2009....which is basically 1/3 of my Life to date.

Thanks to JON ABEYTA -- his IMAGE of me got me 1000s of Radio Interviews around the world and secured a Love of Photography which is now making an impact on Modern Pop Culture! That's Motivation carried to the Max. Thank you, Jon.

Now, as the end of the year, 2009 nears, with only 10 more FAUX FUR FRIDAYS (C)2008 left to the imagination and for those busy creating prototypes of new Lines worn in the colder climes, it's reassuring to know that FAUX FUR is what you make of it.

These Segments will be incorporated into a Book and released in mid-Winter of 2010 honoring the Commodity of FAUX FUR and what it represents to those living in the 21ST Century.

The 41st Faux Fur Friday runs Today: October 9, 2009. Only Eleven more to go...what will you be wearing?

Chicago, IL USA: As is my 57TH and 2 month 'Birthday' here in Chicago where the weather is rainy, cold and windy. Perfect weather to take out those faux fur articles you stored away for our other seasons and start to add an assortment of accessories to them.

Going shopping on Wednesday, I purchased 2 faux fur leopard skirts - one shorter than the other in the typical cinnamon and black dot motif. These can be worn together -- for a layered look - not only to keep warm, but to add that splash of color along with dark legs. For those really courageous with slim enough legs, leopard leotards would also make a splash.

And, that's what I will be wearing tonite, with a black turtleneck and the jacket I wore when I placed within the top 10 Women in the 2008 SHE's GOT THE LOOK Model Competition here in Chicago -- when Robert Verdi, a New York City based fashionistra went 'ballistic' on my look and coat. After all, Girls & Guys just want to have fun and more of it is better when wearing FAUX FUR.

Koopersmith/Chicago pens SKiN: Dispelling Racism at its Core. The Spielberg Connection. For your next RACE Segment/Issue/Lecture.

An eMedia Release

DateLine: Wednesday, October 7, 2009 - 2:34 PM CST

Chicago, IL USA: With the New Year, 5770 now with us, I like to stop, reflect and think about what I did this past year in order to further improve the Quality of Life significantly for all of us and then continue on with my Voyage and Contribution.

By being a Writer (which is a Talent & Passion no matter what Color (of) Skin you happen to be housed in), Flexibility is present and accounted for at our very (lean) fingertips.

With that in mind, the Opening Quotation to my recently written Manuscript & Movie Script entitled:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

contains a moving Statement I would like to share with you at this time. It follows:

"All Wars have been primarily waged and/or fought for The Advancement or Abolishment of SKiN...not Money, Land (Territory), Riches (Jewels) or the Princess' Hand. It was only then and afterwards that The Onset of Greed arrived - because of SKiN. Redefining (y)our Perception of SKiN is the only Way to get past this Chapter in Human History."

SKiN is the Acronym for:

Sacred Kinship In Nature ™

that conclusively depicts the non-stop Altruistic + Champion Causes I consistently address in my moving ADRI-torials, Articles, Books and Compositions as delineated by:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

a timeless and universal Literary Classic on detailing how to better, respect and care for Our World.

Its Plot in 204 choice Words follow:

Ten beloved Plush Toys wind their Way through The Vault, guided by The Keeper as they carefully examine The SKiNS of every Human (Man, Woman and Child) that ever graced and roamed The Planet. Representing 10 Species that lived on Earth for as long as 217,000,000 years (outliving the Almighty Dinosaur), the Conversations strike Chords of many Colors whereby The Charactoys ® (as they are collectively known cleverly derived from the Two Words: CHARACTERS + TOYS thoughtfully explain through their indiscriminating Eyes, Senses, Reasoning and ample Experiences how Man (an Earthling and Resident of merely 100,000 years of age) has created Today's Problems by 'simply being Human.' Twenty-Seven enlightening and provocative hidden Chambers lend themselves to the animated and lively Discussions of and Topics about utilizing the Four Elements of Race, Nature, Mixed Signals and ultimately, What Matters. An Attitude of Salvation, Righteousness and Hope lies on The SKiN Layer of all (their) Discourse(s) until Chapter/Scene 28 squelches and summarizes the oblique and stark Reality of Life in The 21st Century, leaving our Heroes and Protagonists, The Readers, Viewers and all Living Creatures on The Planet Earth (Animalia & Humanity -- Flora & Fauna) in an unanticipated Turn and State of Shock and Awe.

FOR THE MOVIE PRODUCERS AMONGST US:

SKiN's Log Line is:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys redefine Race. Connect the Dots.

SKiN's Meet Line is:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009 meets Aesop's Fables, Alice In Wonderland, Bee Movie, Coreline, Forrest Gump, Gulliver's Travels, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Twilight Zone and The Wizard of Oz.

EXTENDING & UPDATING A POP CULTURE SENSATION:

With Race & Racism being the hottest Topics of our Age combined with Director, Tim Burton's Release of Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland in March, 2010, I strongly feel and sense that the Timing and Significance of SKiN as the next Big Literary Classic and Motion Picture Blockbuster could not be more opportune.

NOlympics. chicagOLYMPICS = riOlympics.®. ASK's Valued Opinion on why we are OVERJOYED Chicago did not get the 2016 Games.

Chicago, IL USA

Now that's the winning formula as tens of thousands upon thousands of satisfied and astute Chicagoans are tickled for joy, tickled pink (red, blue, green, yellow, black and lavendar -- or whatever your favorite color is) for the recent fact that we did not get the 2016 Olympics.

Long considered the 3rd coast after Los Angeles & New York City, we didn't even rate Third Place, but number 4 after Japan, S. America and Spain. To all those IOC judges who saw through the shrewd and diabolically evil ways of Windy City Politics -- to those helping themselves to the millions of dollars that Chicago is now IN THE HOLE -- we applaud you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

QUESTIONS: Should property taxes go up MORE SO for those who can't even afford to buy a bag of groceries -- where sales tax is the highest in the country - at 10.25%? Thousands of like-minded Chicagoans are dancing in the streets today while The Mayor's Plane is en route back home -- knowing that the truth has won out. Now get back to work and:

clean up the crime rate;

start educating the kids who are dropping out of school before 6th grade;

clean up the school system where kids are afraid to attend due to gang warfare;

take care of hospitalization and health care needs for the homeless and those living at a subsistence level; and

find jobs for those men women and new graduates who have been out of work for longer than you would care to be...

The list continues as you can imagine as well as the fact that property taxes would sky-rocket driving out more than the average 50,000-75,000 people who leave Chicago annually now.

Oh, yes and by-the-way, Happy Faux Fur Friday: #40. It is getting colder here and many of us will be dolling up in Faux Fur and planning our trip to riOLYMPICS...the way it should be, carnivale style -- dressed in the finest of Faux Fur Prints. A longer detail will again appear next Friday, October 9 explaining the Concept FUR-ther as it has been the numerous Fridays since 2009 began. But for now, there's a lot of celebrating to do...knowing that:

NOlympics is in the Best Interest of The Citizens of Chicago.

a most exciting Month for those living and based in Chicago as we will soon find out if the City has won the Olympic Bid for 2016. And sure enough as time flies, it will be 2016 and the Olympics will be somewhere...and in the minds of many Chicagoans...HOPEFULLY not here.
