Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #30.

Chicago, IL USA

The Month of January has been designated as the Month to BLOG all about:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

and how the Project came to fruition. Now that Fruition has nearly been met, there's always more for the Writer -- myself -- to undertake. Part is the Marketing Prospectus/Angle. Another is the Art Work. Both are as thrilling to work on, as it seems that there is enough inspiration 'out there' to command more hours than there is in a day to work, play, toil and command. Which, of course, is another Reason why we are all the more alike than different, although our SKiN Tones may be different. That alone is one avenue in which to pursue a wider audience. One which will unravel as the Year 2010 begins to be know as

THE YEAR OF SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™

Eventological Holidates are one of my Passions being heralded as

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #29. Celebrating the First Year Anniversary of SKiN ©2009-2010

Chicago, IL USA

Today is the official First Year Anniversary of the Writing of my Novel and Movie Script entitled:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

whose 3 prevailing Themes are relevant to dispelling Racism and spreading Goodwill towards us all. Especially in troubled times like this, a Novel and Script like these sheds light into other alternatives that can alleviate Social Issues that affect us all.

To commemorate the Occasion, a Photoshoot was taken at a Private Studio on Lake Shore Drive here in Chicago; as well as the Launch of 12 New HOLIDATES that commeorate the 12 Main Characters of SKiN. Each Species now has its own Month in which to discover MORE about 'The Family' that, of course, is not only of interest to Fans, but Teachers who wish to share the Plot with their Students.

Now in 5 parts, the First Installment is now being considered by Hollywood Movie Producers. The other 4 Parts (all sequels) are being re-created into Scripts as well as the 2nd Rewrite of SKiN in its entirety is being undertaken.

After all, being a writer in Chicago only means one thing! It's cold out here and for the 4-6 months of extreme COLD, it's nice to be able to sit and write and rewrite until the Weather breaks. Caring for our SKiN and those of others makes perfect sense when viewed in the Ways as laid forth in:

Chicago, IL USA:

In my Novel and Movie Script entitled:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

a barrage of Quotes take over the Pages. They are not only stated by the 10 Main Characters but fall into the Nature of the Text. I can't really say which one is my favorite, however; this one (which is still 'under wraps') reads as:

“____® is such an INteresting, all-encompassINg Word. FUN to say; and so serviceable IN The Species of People IT covers,” ___ expounds, “LITTLE did We realize (early on) that SKiN would cause The Stir – a full-blown Ruckus as IT does to those Members of The Human RACE.”

Quotes make us think - think hard -- about why there are topics as Racism which are still around.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #27

Chicago, IL USA:

Often times, SKiN deals with racial equality and inequality or what can be gained if skin care is really optimized. That seems to be 2 of its Main Themes. However in my writing of both the Novel and Movie Script:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

there's much more in it that is only at the SKiN Level. This can be seen constantly on TV -- over the Radio and Internet. Last night's News proved that point again. Many Americans who are finding their homes to be less than what it is worth are merely 'walking away from them.' One example of a young White couple claimed they paid $250,000 for their home which was now valued at $135,000, both decent amounts since paychecks are going less further these days. A moment later, after a few choice commercials showing the affluency in Life, the news turned to the Survivors of the Haitian Earthquake -- people whose shanties (of homes) were destroyed and who were living in fields or out on the streets for fear of aftershocks. Aftershocks for them, of course, were totally different for the 2 American 'former' Home Owners. And, of course, the main distinction that was automatically seen was their SKiN Colors. With all the homes vacant in America now due to foreclosures, wouldn't it be 'a miracle' if they were somehow transformed into apartments for the 700,000 homeless in Haiti.

That would partially solve their problem till the streets are cleaned out; a new infra-structure built and they'd be allowed to return...

Chicago, IL USA:

As the First Year Anniversary Date of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

approaches, I am in the process of rewriting the Material as more ideas are quickly coming in. In total there are over 400 pages. Because it's done completed, I hesitate to guess what the word count is, but hope to have a solid one by March.

The first 14 chapters of SKiN were been made into a Movie Script in 2009 and is being considered by Hollywood Producers, but the rest of the Book - which boils down to 4 other Books must be reconverted into Conversational Script-ese as I call it. For those attempting to take their novel and making it into a script, there are many good books out there to learn from, as I taught myself script-writing in about 3 months. Then, of course, practice makes perfect. It's a great way for a writer to get UNDER THE SKiN of their writings and probe other levels that they wish to portray to their readers. I highly suggest the effort.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #25

Chicago, IL USA:

Everything that gets done is basically done via the Aid of SKiN, what we are born into but the singularly one and only Topic that causes us the most dispute especially so when it comes to RACISM. Having observed the Topic of Prejudice and Hate for 56 years -- and multiplied on The Media, nearly a year ago - on January 29, 2009, it dawned on me to write a novel called:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

that would help dispel RACISM once and for all. Now, nearly a year later, the Manuscript is nearly perfected and its ScreenPlay -- 1/5 of the total Book has been entered into a Hollywood Screenwriting Contest. By August, the winners will be picked -- a most interesting Angle in which to take a piece of Literature, one that I highly recommend for all writers who want their Topic to be read and appreciated by all audiences.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #24

Chicago, IL USA:

The SKiN-care industry is much different than what it was 10 years ago. Being a billion dollar industry, even in a depressionary state -- recession -- or time when there's not enough food to eat or a foreclosure is on the horizon for the average American Family, SKiN Care is yet the one form of pampering a person can still do without going bankrupt. There are numerous lotions, chap lip products and cheaper make-ups for women who want to doll up and still have money to hop a bus and go to work. Whereby SKiN care was only an act Royalty or the elite would do 100+ years ago, it's now an area where every one can participate in. Even the smallest amount of pampering has day-long significance. Living in colder climates where SKiN take a battering, it's important to care for your SKiN because it's the one thing that covers you throughout your Life.

An entire chapter in my Novel/Movie Script entitled:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

is devoted to the dynamics of caring for yourself - battling low self-esteem and 'looking good,' as Freddy Prinz would say. This doesn't take long, but the effects are long-lasting.

Yo, Adrienne (Adrian, Hadrian et.al.)! This Event has your Name written all over it. Celebrating Adrienne's Day International on January 23.

THE OFFICIAL BLOG RELEASE:

Dateline: Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Upon the Holidate’s 8TH Year Anniversary in 2008 and now 9TH Year Anniversary as of August 23, 2009

UNIQUE NAMES RULE:The Name, Hadrian has a long, important and religious History. Six of the original 266 Popes (since the Year 32) that have graced the Halls of Christianity and Catholicism were bestowed with it. The Name crosses over and is classy enough for the non-religious sectors to claim as well. The name, Adrian or (H)adrian would soon branch off to cover ‘Adrienne’ (and its spicy derivating Alternates and Synonymic Spellings that include:

Adrianne,Adrean,Adriane,Adriene,Adrianna,Aydrienne,Hadrian,Hadriane andAdriaanas their own. Interestingly enough, ‘Adrienne/Adrian’ is one of the premiering Unisex Names in History although Unisexuality really did not kick-in or pick-up till the 1960s. That Topic will be covered in another Issue of KOOPERSMITHin’ ®.We go through Life with Names and then Numbers attached to our Selves. Those standards are: telephone numbers, social (in)security numbers, credit card and bank account numbers, heights and weight figures, dates and anniversaries, street addresses and even our ages are all computed numerically. Through all the haze comes a really hip, elegant, stylish, sophisticated and stand-apart Name that is encompassed in only 3-syllables.

That is: Adrienne, a name in all its Variations that sound and look good.RESEARCH BEFORE GOOGLE ®:In the 1960s before Doctor Spock hit the Airwaves while ‘Growing Up Koopersmith,’ I referred to Baby Name Books to discover more about my First Name. The Name basically intrigued me. The Statement published said that ADRIAN was Italian in Origin and its Definition was ‘Man of the Sea’ while its Feminine Version, spelled out as ‘Adrienne’ stood for ‘Woman of The Seacoast.’ Most likely it was named after the Adriatic Sea surrounding Italy (located west of the Boot).

However, for me (personally), I found the Name most ironic (yet beautiful to say and write) as I was born a Fire Sign under Leo, The Lion and could not swim. Never-the-less, I wasn’t about to change it since the ‘A’ in Adrienne stood for my Great Grandmother ‘Anna’ Teitelbaum and was a Tribute to her.Now as I google ‘Adrienne,’ that Definition is not written anywhere in sight or on-site, except now on My BLOG, KOOPERSMITHin’ ®, where it will happily rest.As the Assignee or Recipient of ADRIENNE DAY ©2001 that falls on January 23RD, for 2008 upon its 7TH Year Milestone, I have taken the liberty to change its proper Name or Title to:

ADRIENNE's DAY INTERNATIONAL ©2008.

This methodic Move will now include every Adrienne and its Derivatives (including Males) outside the Shores of The United States of America to celebrate and commemorate the Holidate ®.

INSERT:
For those of you who are unaware, a HOLIDATE is derived from the 2 Terms:

Holiday + Date = Holidate

and is described as a ‘Goodwill, Humanitarian, Altruistic, Educational, Recreational, Spiritual, Fun-Time and Fun-Type Event or Holiday.’

ADRIENNE's DAY INTERNATIONAL ©2008 is only one of over 1,500 more 'Holidates To Celebrate' in:

EVENTOLOGY ®
The Art of Event-Making
Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith’s Campaigns for Humanity ©1990.

TO CONTINUE: The Challenge, of course, is to inform each and every Adrienne and its Derivatives (including Males), but plans to ‘work’ this Holidate have been on the Drawing Board since its Inception. KOOPERSMITHin’ ® will be used as Adrienne Central.Today is the Day for all Adriennes (Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) to celebrate even if you were not born on January 23RD.

It’s an Art to live up to such a fine, historically enriched name but throughout History few Adriennes have let us down. At times like this, we’re pleased that History does repeat itself in a positive manner. The Name, Adrienne is memorable. It’s classically defined. It crosses the Atlantic and from Europe and glides to the Pacific Ocean clearing the South Pacific Brim. “Growing Up Adrienne” most likely will immediately separate a Kid or young Child in Grade and Grammar School from ‘The Pack’ which most often consisted largely of all the Anns, Cathies and Marys as well as the Pauls, Bills and Patricks in the classroom. Such was the case for me until I reached High School circa 1966 when ‘Adrianne D’ (to protect the Innocent) entered The System. I was no longer alone. Which Adrienne/Adrianne were they speaking about?

Inquiring minds wanted to know…IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING:

“To know an Adrienne is to love an Adrienne.”When polled, few People will admit they knew many ADRIENNEs during their Life(times), but may mention those (in passing) who have made a Big Name for themselves.

THE TOP 21 REVEALED:

A random Sampling of noteworthy and/or famous Adriennes are:
Adrienne Adams, 20TH Century Writer
Adrienne Barbeau, Actress & Entertainer

WONDER OF ALL WONDERS: With the high-powered assistance of Google, type in the name ‘Adrienne’ and within a matter of 0.03 seconds, 11,600,000 Adriennes will electronically appear, thus networking us as quickly as possible.Perform an Advanced Search and 984,000 more Hits appear. The Search can grow more intense as additional Key Words are employed.

SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS:
School Teachers may want to undertake PROJECT: ADRIENNE ® as a Class Assignment with their Students as the consistent Milestones Adriennes (and her spicy derivating Alternates and Synonimc Spellings of Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) have secured and proven century-in and century-out stand apart both online and off.A Lesson as that can prove to be extremely interesting while opening doors along the ways to pursuing higher Education, Academic Excellence, inspiriing Growth and Learning.

“Plowing thru 187,000 Hits for the Name, Adrienne (per Google on January 20, 2008 at 2 PM), you would instantly believe (without a single doubt) that it was the most popular Name in the Milky Way Solar System. However, it is not in a disparaging way. Around my Household and in my Life & Realm, Adrienne ranks and rates as #1. Understandably other Adriennes would agree with me.”Quote of: Adrienne Sioux KoopersmithTuesday, January 22, 2008The 1990 U.S. Census reported that Adrienne is a very popular Female First name but is seldom a Surname.

The Concerns around Adrienne is that We are always known by our First Name much like Cher, Madonna, Oprah and Hillary. ‘Impressionable’ is what Scholars label it. ‘Monumental’ is what many Adriennes wish and plan to do FOR and DURING their Lifetimes. Remembering them from The Past to The Present to The Future maintains a constant Air that other commonplace names cannot hold a Candle or live up to.

WHY A DAY DEDICATED TO ADRIENNE:

On January 23 of 2001 (slightly 7 months before Terrorism struck American Cities), I was deeply honored when Eric Zorn) one of Chicago’s prominent Columnists and a Member of the Chicago Tribune Staff chose to dedicate a Day and Date to me for the 1,500 HOLIDATES and Eventology Writings I had created since July 25, 1990. This Act(ion) was similar to having a Star named after you or a commemorative Stamp unveiled. Because Eric picked January 23 (1/23) as:

NATIONAL ADRIENNE's DAY ©2001,

I feel sharing that Tribute with other Adriennes is the appropriate and typically very Adriennesque next proper Step to take in its Evolution. It’s wise. It’s prudent. There is Power in Numbers. Who doesn’t like to receive a Distinction?

TO QUOTE THE COMMERCIAL:

Naturally, Celebrations can run ‘The Gamut’ depending on how lavish the Event is to become. Suggestions from ‘My Inner Adrienne’ tell me to hold an International Convention in Adrian, Michigan in 2009 so We can get a Grip on the Essence of Everything Adrienne. After all, Fellow Adriennes (Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) will agree that:“We have come a long ways, Baby!”since the antiquated Days of the Hadrian Popes. Thanks to Eric Zorn’s Designation: “We have arrived full Circle.”From that initial Convention or Conference,

an ADRIENNE-O-PEDIA ©2001-10

can be written of which I could, should and would act as Editor-In-Chief. Every enrolled Adrienne (and her/his Derivative) would have a Booth in which to Adrienne-icize their Wares, Cares, Campaigns, Interests and Contributions they have given to Society.

January 23RD is the Date in Calendrical Time for all Adriennes (no matter how the Name is spelled to celebrate their Name’s rich Heritage. Additional Exposure, Fun & Opportunity await each Adrienne. Restaurants should give us a sizable discount after showing a valid I.D. Other Retail Freebies should be enacted to draw in the Adrienne ‘Vote of Approval’ for this highly special Day.

RANKING THE NAME: When Numbers seem to make an Impact“Rankings of our Name do not really matter as We prefer the Name keeping its uniqueness. Babies can be born consistently; however, few grow up to be(come) a tried and true Adrienne.”

NOW FOR THE HISTORY ABOUT THE NAME: ADRIENNE

Claiming Credit for the Creation of the Name, ADRIENNEThe Fight is on:Five (5) different Meanings of the Name, Adrienne are:

1. From Hadria (a Person hailing from Hadria located in Northern Italy)

2. Day of Fire

3. The Calling

4. Woman of The Seacoast

5. Man of The Sea

OUR NAME IN PRINT:
SEA-ing is Believing:The Adriatic Sea is a Section of the Mediterranean Sea, a Body of Water dividing the Balkan from the Italian Peninsula. The Name can be traced back to the Times of Antiquity with the Ancient Romans’ Latin. ‘Adria’ (or Hadria) (as a term) is most likely sourced from the Illyrian word, adur denoting ‘Sea or Water.’ Correlating Medieval Latin’s terms are Adriaticum, Hadrianus and/or Hadriaticum.“All Names have Meanings. Some of us grow into our Names. Some of us don’t. Folks should not be named until they are between the Ages of 13-15 to make sure that their Name is befitting of their Character and Attitude. Quality, not quantity is what the Core Value is here.”

Probably no other name in Contemporary Times has so many Off-Shoots as Adrienne. A large Range of Names exists because of the Similarity of Languages, Tribes and ongoing Migrations when People travelled and spread across The Planet during the Age of Exploration. For thousands of years, this Breaking of Barriers (through nomadic expeditions, conquests, via the Crusades, etc.) became the Sources of these Multiple Name Origins where more than one Meaning and Spelling evolved in each Location.

ORIGINS OF ADRIENNE:The French meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ implies dark and emanating from the Adriatic Sea Region. The Female Name ‘Adrienne’ (ad-rienne, adri(en)-ne) is pronounced AY-dree-en. Adrian is its French Male Counterpart. The Greek Meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ with Adrian as a variant, connoting ‘dark and rich.’The Latin Meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ mean from the Adriatic Region and (again) dark. After infiltrating the major Languages of Ages ago, it would not take long for The Saints to have their own Days. According to the Google Nation, ‘Adrian’ is the Patron Saint of Soldiers and Butchers. What’s Good for The Goose is Genteel for the Gander: Exploring the Male Side:It’s a Name that’s as good for the Goose as it is for the Gander.

In Poland, Germany, Russia, Romania and English-speaking Countries, Adrian is the Masculine Gender. Pronunciations are different, of course, but the Root can be traced to earlier French, Latin and Greek Names.ADRIENNE GOES GLOBAL:Just how popular is the Name, Adrienne. Let’s take a look at five (5) important Adriennic Timelines and Locations for the Name.261ST - as a Woman’s Name in Canada (BC) circa 2001Personally, I cannot think of 260 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Canada.

389TH - as a Female Name in Australia (NSW) circa 2000

Personally, I cannot think of 388 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Canada.

449TH - as a Woman’s Name in Australia (NSW) circa 2003Personally, I cannot think of 448 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Australia.

706TH - as a Female Name in Australia (NSW) circa 1998

Personally, I cannot think of 705 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Australia.

3,016TH - as a Woman’s Name in Belgium circa 2002

Personally, I cannot think of 3,015 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Belgium.“Interestingly enough, from the 5-Tier Listing above, the Evidence leads us conclusively to believe that Adriennes live in the USA, Canada, Australia and Belgium although the Name itself is Greek, Latin and French in Origin. With Starvation, Terrorism, Homelessness in our World, Global Warming and a medley of unconquerable Diseases plaguing complete societies, is it really that important to rank Names? For the sake of Pop Culture, it is. For the Survival and Duration of The Species, apparently not.”

ADRIENNEs IN AMERICA, THE UNITED STATES OF… USA:

Scores of Hospitals must be visited to arrive at these Statistics:In 2005, Adrienne ranked as 728THIn 2000, Adrienne ranked as 529THIn 1995, Adrienne ranked as 408THIn 1990, Adrienne ranked as 240THWithin fifteen (15) years, ADRIENNE (as a Name) has fallen 488 Popularity Points.Perusing the Decades, for me, it’s ‘of interest’ to see that when I was born in August of 1952, ADRIENNE reached its Peak of Popularity.

Adrienne ranked in as 335TH from 1990 – 1999.
Adrienne ranked in as 189TH from 1980 – 1989.
Adrienne ranked in as 201ST from 1970 – 1979.
Adrienne ranked in as 342ND from 1960 – 1969.
Adrienne ranked in as 336TH from 1950 – 1959.
Adrienne ranked in as 432ND from 1940 – 1949.
Adrienne ranked in as 405TH from 1930 – 1939.
Adrienne ranked in as 633RD from 1920 – 1929.
Adrienne ranked in as 730TH from 1910 – 1919.
Adrienne ranked in as 699TH from 1900 – 1909.

An active and concerted effort to improve the Visibility of all Adriennes since the Name’s popularity has been waning and has fallen ‘hard’ since 1990. Therefore, to insure that Adrienne ranks higher for The Decade of 2000-2009, an active campaign – even one via word-of-mouth – should be launched towards Couples giving Birth to Twins. Therefore, the Girl Baby can be called Adrienne and her Brother, Adrian. With high rates of fertility, that move alone would substantially increase Adrienne’s Popularity up the Scales.'I' BEFORE 'E':

CONCLUSION: For all the Effectiveness, Skill, Creativity, Production and Color an Adrienne adds to a Day, We deserve our very own Day and January 23RD is it. Thanks to (Mr.) Eric Zorn, he has given us our Day in the Sun. Although I may be firmly biased in my Stand, my Inclination towards my First Name Adrienne is three-fold in nature as:

1. 'Adrienne' was my Mother’s Best Friend’s Name in grade school;

2. 'Adrienne' is a Name given to me honoring my Maternal Great-Grandmother, Anna, thus keeping the Genealogy in line(age); and

3. 'Adrienne' consistently reminds me of my 3 favorite Action Words: Adventure, Adrenalin & Advertising that I have harmoniously woven into my Lifestyle. Adrienne – in all its breadth, depth, length, glory and history – beats out being given another lackluster Number that needs to be memorized. My Salute becomes your Salute in Namesake alone.”

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #23

Chicago, IL USA:

Everything affects The SKiN and at times 'Situations'can get under it, with Circumstances that immediately need to be taken care of before it gets much later. While researching a Section for my Novel/Movie Script which is being rewritten for Hollywood at this time, I stumbled upon a very interesting Word,

Aniline,

taken from Wikipedia at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aniline)that stated:

Aniline is toxic by inhalation of the vapour, absorption through the SKiN or swallowing. It causes headache, drowsiness, cyanosis, and mental confusion, and, in severe cases, can cause convulsions. Prolonged exposure to the vapour or slight SKiN exposure over a period of time affects the nervous system and the blood, causing tiredness, loss of appetite, headache, and dizziness.

This Paragraph immediately caught my eye and imagination as I finish penning:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

because of its Relevance. Long end of the Story (ie: BLOG here) (which now is over 400 pages) is that:

Imagine living 200 years ago when many Plants were not yet recognized and eating a shrub, etc. that was poisonous or allergic to your system. That Concept alone puts the thunder into a Novel and is, of course, what so many melodramas are composed of today.

HOW DO YOU SPELL PAMPERING? I'd still rather live in this Age of Plenty...although the Plate is not always full for so many of our Fellow Citizens and this, of course, is dependent on the SKiN they are in.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #22

Chicago, IL USA:

Fifty-One Weeks ago today the Inspiration hit me -- after a culmination of 10 Issues tangently coincided that gave me the GREEN LIGHT to go ahead and pen SKiN, now both a Manuscript & Movie Script. How fast that Time Slot passed. I must have typed myself to the Sun and back about 4 times since Writing deals with as many Rewrites as actual chapters, scenes and run-on sentences.

Via SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

many Doors have been opened that can be utilized to the max, if you choose to pursue that route. One of those that is on the SKiN Level is the Idea of WHO is behind those Doors and what they do behind them. Is it Positive Reinforcement for themselves; their families and their societies? Or is that Action something that just pulls them through another day without any significant gain. Noticing what other Cultures do is a Past-Time many of us have. Even observing Families - generations in the making -- is a creative Endeavor that either binds them or keeps them at a Distance. With modern technology and the right back-up great strides to increase Man's Role can be achieved, no matter what SKiN Tone he or she is in.

Chicago, IL USA:

With the Writing of my Book(Manuscript)& Movie Script:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

the Topic of SKiN seems to have come center-stage in a variety of ways. One of which is the Topic of Obesity which affects a greater number of people every year -- spanning all Races and Ages. Another Topic SKiN spawns that deals directly with its top 3 Themes is that of Mixed Messages. In America, there are obese people who live within miles of starving people, as there are rich people (who may have more creature comforts than the average person) who live within the same city of those who have no livelihood. Mixed Signals and Messages (whether physically or spiritually bound)create many problems.

And, they are linked to SKiN. What We as individuals (as well as members of a Society and Civilization do) to help those about us every day is a matter of what matters most.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #20

Chicago, IL USA:

SKiN is such an intereting topic, even if I had not penned the Manuscript and Movie Script entitled:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

One of the reasons is that the topic is universal. We can all relate to SKiN because we all have it. Some have more. Some have less. Yet, we all wear our Skins differently, besides thinking of all the various colors and textures SKiN comes in.

For instance, this AM on NBC/NYC's Today's Show with Matt, Meredith, Ann & Al, one of their guests was a teenage gal, Eva Uhlin (a budding actress), who had suffered from a heinous yet very rare Skin Disease called:

Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis

where her SKiN blistered, got scabs and pealed off her body. An extremely rare disease, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis was (in Eva's case) was due to an Allergic Reaction to Tylenol. Regaining her original look besides the scare of having the Allergy return, it's amazing what the SKiN goes through -- diseases as well as daily influxes of hot and cold; pealing and regeneration, without even worrying about Racism and Prejudice that is another Issue that SKiN brings forth. Prejudice and Racism is something we do NOT really need to put our SKiN through...

As the old Aesopian Adage goes: You don't really appreciate what you had until it is gone. And when that special Subject returns, how we really appreciate its Return.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #18

Chicago, IL USA:

As I retype and revise part of The Manuscript to SKiN, I happened to come across the Phrase:

'A Lighter Shade of Pale'

that was coined by The Moody Blues over 30 years ago. A spectacular Song, today it still reminds People that Racism plays a big part in our day-to-day concerns; whether we realize it or not. What can't be lightened can be air-brushed or bleached thanks to photo-shop and cosmetic surgery, if you are privileged.

Today on what would be Martin Luther King's 81ST Birthday, he would be happy with the Strides made although they are long overdue; however, MLK would be concerned with the Treatment the Haitians are receiving whose island country was earthquaked away 6 days ago. For those who live in a 3rd World Country, Area or District -- as Americans witnessed first-hand when Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast on August 29, 2005, there's not too much hurry to help those that cannot help themselves.

Therefore, by writing:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

as both a Novel and Movie Script, the Hang-Ups Humans have can be dispelled and there's no better time than the Present.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #17

Chicago, IL USA:

Every person has an Opinion and with that thought in mind I posted a comment on my Facebook 101 Page in order to get the VO: Valued Opinion of some my friends - many that I've known since Kindergarten. That Query was:

What do you think about RACE - SKiN? Your Comments will appear on my Bog, KOOPERSMITHin before the end of the month.

There was a time when many of us in Small Town America had no opinion on a topic that has so many dimensions to it. But then again, Kids are quite observant. My earliest thought (since I often ask myself the very questions I pose to others) is that 3 of my classmates were either labeled as: Fattest - Poorest or Smelliest. That in and of itself shows that 3rd graders are judgmental.

And with the Penning of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

as both a Novel and Movie Script, perhaps that will begin to ease.

In this day and age, let's hope so.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #16

Chicago, IL USA:

I spoke to Dee today as I did my volunteer work at the local shelter. She told me she had been an exotic dancer in the 1970s; was homeless and was now pulling herself together. Being from the same era, she opened up to me and our conversation heightened. A grandma of 2 darling kids living in the 'Deep South' her Daughter whose father was of German White Extract would always try to "pass herself off as White." She did not say this sarcastically, but more matter-of-factly. Her skin tone would change -- darker during the summer. "That's when she tried to blend in with Puerto Ricans," Dee stated.

My conversation of earlier this Week with Shaun about 'White Privilege' came to mind. I told Dee about Brian Harris who appeared on the Mike & Maty Talk Show circa 1997 whose

FRIENDSHIP SEES NO COLOR

Pen Pal Writer's Club made international news. She smiled and wanted more information on him, since it's People like Brian who make a world of difference.

Dee was happy where she was in the world. She came through the Storm, in tact and now able to give her experiences to her Grandkids, proud of the SKiN she is in. Many of her comments reminded me of parts of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #15

Chicago, IL USA:

The Ides of January is today, Friday January 15, 2010. Made popular by Julius Caesar, some people neglect to know that the Ides is the Middle of the Month. JC (and others like him -- and even those with the same initials) have died not only for the Color of their SKiN but for their politics and beliefs. You have to wonder if this is a Trend & Trait in the Animal & Plant Kingdoms. I explore that in:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

which is now nearly complete as a Book and which is being scrutinized by Hollywood Movie Producers. The Topic alone of Race has mesmerized people -- sociologists, included as to why People are Prejudicial and Racist. Today with the Earthquake that has hit Haiti, many are wondering if supplies would have gotten there quicker if the Population was White instead of being predominantly Black. It's topical; it's sad; it is part of Human Nature and History - even predating JC: Jesus Christ & Julius Caesar that hopefully MAN can remedy and overcome before we make more mistakes, by judging a person by their RACE and not their GRACE.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #14

Chicago, IL USA:

It was interesting to note last night on TV that Childhood Obesity has reached the White House. The First Lady now wants to address that issue in 2010, which is a darn good idea and long overdue. Since self-esteem is linked directly to the SKiN we are in, having too much SKiN has always proven to be (sadly enough) something else for kids and tyrants to poke fun at. As if Color is not 'bad enough' -- people make fun at others because they are too fat; too skinny; too acne'd; or whatever TOO they happen to hate at the time.

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

takes a serious Look at RACE-ism through the Eyes of 10 Beloved Plush Toys (all from my TOY BOX)who 'tell it like it is.' As a Topic that will never go away, The TOY ANIMALS view Man's Misperception of RACE as a startling way on how (not) to 'Treat Family' and what is said between them will open your eyes all the w-i-d-e-r still!

As of today's date, the Book is done, but I am currently at work on placing the SCRIPT with Hollywood Movie Producers, with a total of 1 Debut Film and 4 Sequels to follow about 20 years work on 'fighting Racism to its core.'

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #13

Chicago, IL USA:

This morning as I was working on a Book Project at Staples, Shawn McDonald their manager asked me about what I thought of the US Senator and the IL Governor and their televised opinions on Race. Knowing I had written the Book & Screenplay:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

he knew I had a valid opinion on the Topic. Shawn had asked me if I had ever heard of the term: WHITE PRIVILEGE and being a sociology manager 'back in the days' the term was familiar to me. He then told me a story of visiting a Donut Shop on the South Side of Chicago, a predominantly Black Neighborhood where he said he 'feared for his life.' Traveling through with some friends to go to a party, they stopped in and were surprised that the counter was protected by bullet-proof glass and the transaction was on a turntable -- evidently, just trying to make a living even in a Black Hood is precarious. Sad, but true.

However, as we then discussed, I told him of the Segregation I felt when I traveled to Thailand in August of 1979 - and how 3rd and 4th world countries are suffering; even if not shaken by a major Earthquake as Haiti had been hit yesterday. A Life of Privilege doesn't happen for many...

But as we chatted, I asked Shawn: Is there Prejudice vs. Privilege in a Black Monarchy -- in a country run where the majority is not White. Needless to say, this is a conversation that is being held across the USA...in office supply stores as well as in schools and other such places where People are curious to know about the SKiNS we are born in...

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #12

Chicago, IL USA:

As a writer continues his or her work, it's a continual interplay of more ideas that pour in. That is, if you are one of those lucky writers who do NOT suffer from Writer's Block. Luckily that ailment has never struck me. Especially so when topics of such immense interest are 'out there' to write about. It was like a Second SKiN that I began writing:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

last January - on the 29TH when the SKiN-spiration (R) hit me. Since then, the Concept has evolved from a Book to a major Screenplay of which PART 1 is now in Hollywood, being read by movie producers. And it doesn't stop there -- there are 4 other segments already completed which are being buffed up.

That's because writers just don't tack words together - it's the BUFFING and polishing that really takes the Time. Writing - in whatever Shade of SKiN you are in is always rich, exciting and hopefully rewarding.

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

can serve as an Inspiration as well as way to escape the Rigors of RACISM that we all know too very well. There really should not be anything to keep you from your Story.

From The Founder of International Thank You Days©1994

Chicago, IL USA:

Your Assignment for Today is to list 100 People that you need to thank.

That seems like a huge number, I know, but if you look around you - there are bound to be about 5 right there that have been helpful.

That's 1 of the Premises of my 8-Day Long Service Oriented HOLIDATE that I created in 1994 -- called INTERNATIONAL THANK YOU DAYS.

Every Day is dedicated to a service community of people that have helped us out. A booklet has been penned showing how this can be done. A simple THANK YOU goes so far in a person's day -- sometimes in this difficult world, that's all that is needed.

For further Info and/or Radio/TV/Web Interviews, contact me directly at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

Feel free to contact me with your LIST - and why you felt you needed to thank them.

"You will find that even the smallest of thanks goes a long way."

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about Intl Thank You Days ©1994 & SKiN: The Book & Script. #11

Chicago, IL USA:

Needless to say that with the Comments flying about Senator Harry Reid's Book calling President Obama "a light skinned African-American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one," the FACE of RACISM again rears its ugly head.

Did anyone the past 200+ years of US History comment on the Skin Tones of our other Presidents, stating the Shades were milky white; pale, reddish (that would indicate the President was a heavy drinker) or any other 'interpretation' they could sling. As an avid reader, I have not heard any such clause or clauses to this Nature.

When Politicians are given this position that is very cushy, they are suppose to make Government work, not use Racism in their Book - after all, there are far more important topics as: WAR & TERRORISM that should be taking his time, not what Color SKiN he was born into...

And let's NOT forget this simple fact #1 that is delineated in my BOOK:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

that Africa is where the First Humans emerged from. Therefore, the First Humans were 'Black' in SKiN tone

and

simple fact #2

is that The Cradle of Civilization was the Fertile Delta -- around the area of Iran & Iraq, Turkey and the Middle East. Therefore, those Early Citizens of Man's History (no doubt) were also darker skinned - the very ones that Hate Mongers as Senator Harry Reid dislike -- these are the People who invented the Wheel and Society as it is today. If not for them...our Life would have turned out quite differently. Their Creations benefit the world, yet today few people realize those 2 facts. Stop and think before you start slinging.

simple fact #3: Is that when People migrated and moved further north, their SKiN tones became lighter in hue...

There's lots to think about when it comes to RACE, but one thing is for sure: Insults and Cutting Remarks do nothing to perpetuate the Milk of Human Kindness, which is the Golden Rule in essence.

Chicago, IL USA:

"By the SKiN of my Teeth" -- or what's left of them -- I find it (one of those transparent words that defies all meanings and definitions -- HARD -- to realize that it is already the Tenth of January. That means 240 Hours are into your New Year's Resolutions of which you can be proud, if you've kept your Promise to keep them. If not, there's always another Day in which to do so.

'Song of Norway' by Edvard Grieg -- who was born in 1843 was one of my Favorite Tunes that my Mother would play while 'Growing Up Koopersmith' in Mendota, IL USA. As this Blog is being written Mom is actually playing for the Tune for me -- with her Fingers as she did so many years ago.

It is amazing there are so many things we can do with our SKiN and even old tunes from decades ago - that we remember -- as kids are played, verifying that what we learned whle in younger SKiNs still remain bedded in our Hearts.

In the complete SKiN Book (C)2009, it alludes and mentions Hits by some of the Greatest Artists as Carol King, The Rolling Stones, Carly Simon, Bon Jovi, Cher and Rufus Thomas -- all of which will be when The Book becomes a Movie. With all the vast amounts of Cultures and SKiNS we have, THE SCORES of our Lives are the most important.

Chicago, IL USA:

There may be parts in our World where SKiN Color just doesn't matter. The Tribes are intimate. They do not make contact with the Outer World. They lead a very simple lifestyle and their Clan is based on Kinship. However, for millions of people, a Different Interaction takes place between People as mobility and migration are huge factors that have become The Norm in the 21st Century.

Therefore, with the Writing of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

that is a Text as well as Movie Script (now being pitched to various Hollywood Industrialist as of December 21, 2009), its Message is one that binds and bonds people together by using The Senses in order to sense what makes US the Same and indeed that Factor is SKiN.

CLOSING: Please stay tuned for another Segment of defining SKiN ©2009 tomorrow, which will be a Month-long Blog Series of KOOPERSMITHin'® celebrating the First Year Anniversary of the Composition of this Book and Movie Script.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #8

Chicago, IL USA:

The fact that 2010 is quickly ticking away is yet another Cause as to why many resolutions will be broken sooner than later. However, that does not have to be the case. When I began writing:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

I was bound (pun not really intended) and determined to make a Statement, no matter what time it was (in the life of an Ambitious Baby Boomer) and whatever conditions Mother Nature was causing, since I live in an Environment where there seems to be more Winter and Construction going on than actual Spring & Summer. Therefore with that in mind, it's good to keep in your Mind, Dear Readers, that anything can be accomplished if the Enthusiasm is there...

Another Enthusiastic Person happy in his SKiN was Elvis Presley who was born 75 years ago. With computers, we can generate a Photo of what Elvis would look like with silver streaks in his massive mane, but what he stood for was to get PEOPLE up and moving...of which far too many of us don't 'shake our booties' like the King did. Not only is it easy to lose weight that way, but moving is a great way to circulate, which is important for a long life, one that Elvis was not fortunate to have in his OWN SKiN although he is attributed to giving thousands of people 'work' and jobs for decades...

Which brings us up to his Wife, Priscilla. In the SKiN she is in, she is a wealthy woman, but looking at her Internal Conflicts, it must be very sad thinking that if she were to become involved with a Man, he would automatically think that she is forever devoted to ELVIS because she runs 'his Manor.' Yes, even with all the money a person could have in the entire world, it does not matter in the least -- because he may not be happy within the SKiN he is in. Such is the way of Life being a Human. The way you measure happiness depends on many Factors, but always remembers it begins with you and a positive outlook, no matter what color of SKiN we were born in.

Without further adieu, TICK-TOCK.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #7

Chicago, IL USA:

Wake up, America and smell the coffee! It's 2010. It's 145 years after the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and yet the cover story headlines (along with a photo) in the ever popular Chicago Sun-Times (The Windy's City Second Biggest Newspaper)reads as:

LAW SUIT: Racism derails CTA

and features the latest breaking news about how public transportation (mainly buses) are being rerouted and others closed down in neighborhoods where Blacks and Latinos live, not allowing them to get to their jobs (or other events) in an expeditious way and safe manner - a sure-fire sign of overt Discrimination. Shocking News as this is, it is indeed true because I see it first hand every day, being a resident of Chicago since 1974. Not only have the prices of bus fare gone up consistently (although wages have not) from 45 cents to an astronomical $2.25 for a one-way ticket/ride, but bus routes have been eliminated in neighborhoods where Black & Latinos live which causes undue problems for these Families as well as their children who need to commute.

That is yet another VIR: Very Important Reason why:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

is such a timely 'Read' that needs to be studied and analyzed closely by not only grade school children but every person who has ever felt prejudiced or experienced this kind of Hate and Bias which is my Acronym for:

Bad Interaction Against Species ®.

Discrimination (as this) must be addressed and eliminated once and for all. After all, the bottom line will always remain:

We're all in the same SKiN.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about National Smith Day (C)1995 & SKiN: The Book & Script. #6

Chicago, IL USA:

Long before I began the Writing and Composition of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race(C)2009

I created NATIONAL SMITH DAY (C)1995 in order to give special attention to The Smiths. Its January 6th date coincides with that of Captain John Smith who was the FIRST SMITH to set foot here in the States hundreds of years ago -- long before eMail and all the accoutrements that have made Life easier.

Being a KOOPERSMITH by Birth and an Original by Nature, I found upon studying my Geneology in the early 1960s that many of my Relatives on my Grandfather's side of the Family (who hailed from Germany) either dropped the KOOPER or the SMITH when they entered America, migrating as many people did at the turn of the 1900s to escape many problematic situations brewing in their homelands - never to return.

This was indeed problematic, as it took much away from the Lush-and-Richness of our Tradition. As 'America's Premier Eventologist' and 'The Premier Eventologist in The History of The World,' I was determined to change this. Now, happiy after 16 years of locating and making contact with many Smiths, my circle of Family and Friends has continued; and in due part is responsible for the Writing of SKiN -- the Book and the Movie Script which is detailed this Month exclusively in

KOOPERSMITHin (R).

"Why?" you may ask - because we are all encased in SKiN - a name is a way to give a description - personalized to a person, but we all know that it is what is deep down - beneath the SKiN later that counts most of all.

Again, those who are active Members of CLUB: SMITH (R) will be celebrating at one of Chicago's famous Restaurants. Pictures & Comments will be posted on YouTube in the days ahead.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #5

Chicago, IL USA:

With the Writing of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race(C)2009

one of my Educational Lines in Scene 21 is where I discuss the Significance of PLANTS Life on Earth and how they affect Human and Animal Life. Said Sentence reads as:

"Because all Life Forms have SKiN, an INside and an OUTside, a protective Covering to rotect and serve us, SKiNsight (R) is how We care for ourselves and The World around us," Amber reads from a localized Text. "We read Local Authors first, you know."

From this One Line Zinger that Amber (The Vervet of the Group whose Species is 5 million years old) states, an interesting topic that could be transformed into a Class Assignment being:

to list ways to care for ourselves, family, pets and relatives.

List those Subjects throughout the year and compare how the months, your Interactions, Reactions, Attitudes and Climate affects 'the SKiN you are in.' One way to do this is to READ the Local Authors/Writers/Bloggers in your area because they share the same location you do...and this is important when understanding environment.

one always wonders HOW the Concept will be received. One of my basic philosophies about this Subject Matter is that since We all have SKiN, it is a topic that we share and should all know and care about. But, as we all know, RACISM has gotten in the way of Life and it's a sad story that takes Man away from all the wonderful things he could be doing IF he was not prejudiced or bigoted. While I wrote SKiN, I discovered very simple things that turned out to be incredibly ridiculous as to why (some) People are racist. I expose those as well as tell interesting facts about Animals in our Eco-System and how they 'deal' with Topics that Humans bury themselves into -- while missing the Things in Life they should be more concerned about. And yes, for those of you so wondering: Plants also have 'SKiN' - besides Animals and Man - and are included...83 pages of facts and conversations that make you wonder: Why and how to they do that!

Chicago, IL USA:

The Excitement of launching a Project as full and fulfilling as

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race(C)2009

is how the Project has grown from ONE WORD: SKiN to over 400 pages, which does not even include the Artwork. SKiNspiration is what I call IT - IT being the topic that gets addressed but never 'really' gets named. There are ALOT of ITs in SKiN and for all the write reasons.

Everything you ever wanted to ask ASK about SKiN: The Book & Script. #2

Chicago, IL USA:

As a Writer you can get your Inspiration ie:

SKiNspiration ®

almost anywhere -- at any time and at any place. All you need to do is 'be open' to new Ideas - that might come in. What is also helpful is keeping in touch with your Morals - feelings that are SKiN deep and Topics that are current so that People can easily relate.

This is what happened to me as I think back about the DYNAMICS of my Penning of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (©2009

that began on January 29, 2009.

In my 2 Page Prologue/Commentary penned on February 3 & February 15, 2009, I cite that:

"The Illusions cast by High Tech Products taint The Data in misleading Ways, if not criminal, obtrusive and destructive. However, there are always Two Sides to any Matter that must be explored and synthesized."

This is when We (as Members of Mankind) start thinking about how We receive The Signals We get; and not only are we bombarded with so many Messages, but when We decipher them, so many are Mixed and Muddled, that indeed it is hard to figure out what The Reality is like -- within The SKiN you are in. This Thought indeed gives us ideas about what it is like to be HUMAN living in a World that We share with Plants and Animals, our Kindred Soul Mates. Enter: The 10 Beloved Plush Toys (the Actors/Characters) that help The Reader understand how the Cycle of Life works on Planet Earth.
