Don't know much about...The DKMA Syndrome.

TIME GOES ON: So we're past the middle of the Day -- January 25TH -- that means in 11 months it will be Christmas & all those consumerized gifts should be open - even the ones that have been regifted from last month's bounty.

Where's this Posting going - no one knows. And, no one really cares for the most part.

I just had some free time so I figured I'd get online. I have no pretty Star Pictures to post like Uncle Roger; don't know a thing about the SuperBowl; nor do I have any Recipes like the Food Network, but that really has never stopped me B-4.

INSPIRED CAN HIT ANYWHERE, as it did for me when I read the following and appropriately responded:

As the CHICAGOIST stated: Some people will be lavishing their Valentines with limo rides, expensive jewelry, and extravagant dinners this year. Suckers.

I SAY & KEEP REPEATING THAT: Go to RESALE if you really LOVE your Lover. The best deals in the universe and U save enuf money to go out and get a burger at Burger King at the end of the day! That's MY idea of FUN-entine's Day...Cheers, ASK: America's Premier Eventologist...1-25-2012 - 12:24 PM CST

Home Schooling. It may be Chicago's only Chance to save HER Children.

ASK’s COMMENTS ON THE MAYOR’s STREAM – Rahm Emanuel – Chicago, IL USA: - The Topic that we all talked about was Education in Chicago. I had never participated in a forum like this before & it was totally engaging. It’s an infuriating topic when kids who are not wealthy or affluent don’t have access to a quality education. When some 50% of the kids in Chicago do not finish high school. What I had done was posted this earlier on my FB page here. I also emailed my MOTHER – who is my FIRST TEACHER and she participated by reading along for about 30 of 40 minute session. Yes, there was an easier day when quality education was available for most of us. What’s happening now is what I call THE DUMBING OF AMERICA & U see it all over – it’s deplorable. For a nation as great as America, this condition should never have EVER happened. Get involved with a local school in your area. Tutoring is an avenue we can all take. The return of vocational schools is fundamental also. As I concluded with: It’s teams of People who are concerned about the KIDS & their Education that will make that difference – We have to start that: NOW!

AND what must be done!

Pringles: ASK not what your Chip can do for you, ASK how many Chips you should eat per Meal. Pringles to The Rescue

It honestly took me 59 years to figure this out, but it’s a Revelation that hit me at 5:10 PM CST today. A Potato Chip Revelation that’s well worth its WEIGHT in time. It started out like this.

THE SCENARIO STARTED LIKE THIS: I moseyed down the CHIP aisle @ Jewel-Osco this afternoon and what caught my eye was a $ale. Save Money. Eat large. I somehow forgot to eat breakfast & lunch. Famished was the word. I spotted 3 tall canisters of PRINGLES was on $ale for $5. To me, that was a Salty-Deal well-worth considering. And then, all of sudden I spotted them in such an Array of Tastes, I quickly pulled my top 3 which are flavored as: Sour Cream & Onion –BBQ & Multi-Grain with Cheesy Cheddar.

Then tonight @ supper as I grabbed the BBQ can I happened to decide to read the label which read that there are 6 servings per container – and that would equate to 150 calories for those of you (and that has always included me) who count Calories. For 54 of my 59 years I’ve sampled about every variety of Potato Chip that’s been made, but they are so hard to take an accounting (of).

I remember once when I was 6 I made the first Potato Chip Sandwich. 2 pieces of which bread and a few layers of Chips. They were kind of hard to get your mouth around, but I thought the taste was a new taste-sensation. Sure those small bags of chips have a ‘count’ - several hundred calories, but with PRINGLES that are perfectly formed, all U need do is take them from the container, divvy them up 6 ways, count your calories & there you have. It could not be simpler. And the way they are all fashioned being the SAME, they are much easier to handle.

Pringles are a delicious taste without worrying about over-indulgence. I became fascinated with this as much as my Potato Chip Sandwich that occurred to me over 50 years ago. And the fact that you can have a WHOLE CHIP – nothing broken up or shriveled up – that’s found in so many other different BAGS OF CHIPS.

That’s 1 of my Perks of my job of being an EAT-ventologist ™. Somebody’s got to count their CHIPS and eat them, too! And, yes, for a Revelations and/or Run-Down like that a year’s supply of free Pringles sounds good enuf to eat. Send them on over!

Helping Mayor Rahm promote Chicago' with the Creation of: Operation Kindness: chicagOK ™ - an ASK Exclusive.

Hi Mayor: My problem is a bit more general, but pertains to us Chicagoans who are entering our 60s. I have about 6.5 more months until I hit the Big 6-Oh-My-Gosh, but 1 of my main concerns is my MOTHER who is 83. For the most part we are worried about CRIME ON THE STREET & its increase and frequency. Besides bad weather in the city (which I know you have no control over), older People (those 60 & older) worry about falling. As the days get darker from November – March, it’s not ‘that safe’ to be out. Many people also live on side-streets and find it is a tad-bit scary to walk down those blocks because QUITE FRANKLY you just don’t know WHO is hiding & lurking in the shadows.

On Dec. 23, 1991, I was accosted, beat up, robbed & left-for-dead in the lobby of my apt. bldg. where I live today. That was not fun – esp. since it happened 2 days before Xmas. My attacker did not realize I was Jewish & was not carrying any Christmas Gifts in my big black tote. Artists always carry those. They are so convenient when schlepping our projects around from Point A to B.

Now, I know our fine City is the THIRD largest in the USA & according to Wikipedia

“among metropolitan areas, the Chicago area has the 4TH largest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the world.”

And, I keep up with the News & realize we are in DEBT due to wreckless mismanagement – I know how that goes because my Father was Mayor for 16 years in Mendota, IL USA, and he tried to bring in commerce. etc.

The 3 main points that fuel ‘my fire’ are:

1) The population of the City – the demographics – ie: Chicagoans – our neighbors) are getting older. But this is good. Experience counts. The(ir) Stories are cool. Babyboomers (as myself) are aging gracefully. Our parents are ‘already there’ – coming in at the 75+ year mark.

2) Crime (and the lack of jobs and/or opportunity to have a job that pays all the bills like it was in the 1970s-1980s) combined with drugs, drinking & the proliferation of the handgun (where they are a dime-a-dozen on the streets) cause a ‘criminal element’ to ‘attack’ those they feel are prey. That’s 1 of the reasons why I was attacked on Dec. 23, 1991 – I looked like ‘easy prey’ for a quick get-away.

3) CHICAGO (who will be celebrating her 175TH Birthday on March 4TH) has lots of fun things to do; however, if a person feels like he/she would be safer by just staying at HOME & missing out on all this CULTURE via all the 100 diff. neighborhoods we have access to, this is a very sad commentary for what can become a totally wasted life.

There’s got to be SOME group that aids and assists Seniors who want to get out without the Fear Factor playing such a large role in their lives. I know I speak for the masses here.

I suggest we all work on a PLAN that I call: Operation Kindness: chicagOK ™ where the last 2 letters of chicagOK – become Operation Kindness. Basically, it’s a way to help out one’s neighbors and make sure they have QUALITY OF LIVING on a day-by-day bases without the worry of weather – crime & what happens to us just because we get old. If a plan like this would be PUT INTO ACTION throughout our neighborhoods, it would be a win-win situation for all involved.

This was just something I wanted to tell you about --- to keep in the back of your mind as I know you meet with LOTS of different people every day. If anyone of them would like to hear more or discuss more things about Operation Kindness: chicagOK ™, they can just email me at: askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com – or facebook me!

I’m basically just a P&C: Point & Click away, Mayor!

Thank you for your time!

Yo, Adrienne (Adrian, Hadrian! This Event has your Name written all over it. Celebrating Adrienne's Day International on January 23.

Upon the Holidate’s 8TH Year Anniversary in 2008 and now 9TH Year Anniversary as of August 23, 2009

UNIQUE NAMES RULE:The Name, Hadrian has a long, important and religious History. Six of the original 266 Popes (since the Year 32) that have graced the Halls of Christianity and Catholicism were bestowed with it. The Name crosses over and is classy enough for the non-religious sectors to claim as well. The name, Adrian or (H)adrian would soon branch off to cover ‘Adrienne’ (and its spicy derivating Alternates and Synonymic Spellings that include:

Adrianne,Adrean,Adriane,Adriene,Adrianna,Aydrienne,Hadrian,Hadriane andAdriaanas their own. Interestingly enough, ‘Adrienne/Adrian’ is one of the premiering Unisex Names in History although Unisexuality really did not kick-in or pick-up till the 1960s. That Topic will be covered in another Issue of KOOPERSMITHin’ ®.We go through Life with Names and then Numbers attached to our Selves. Those standards are: telephone numbers, social (in)security numbers, credit card and bank account numbers, heights and weight figures, dates and anniversaries, street addresses and even our ages are all computed numerically. Through all the haze comes a really hip, elegant, stylish, sophisticated and stand-apart Name that is encompassed in only 3-syllables.

That is: Adrienne, a name in all its Variations that sound and look good.RESEARCH BEFORE GOOGLE ®:In the 1960s before Doctor Spock hit the Airwaves while ‘Growing Up Koopersmith,’ I referred to Baby Name Books to discover more about my First Name. The Name basically intrigued me. The Statement published said that ADRIAN was Italian in Origin and its Definition was ‘Man of the Sea’ while its Feminine Version, spelled out as ‘Adrienne’ stood for ‘Woman of The Seacoast.’ Most likely it was named after the Adriatic Sea surrounding Italy (located west of the Boot).

However, for me (personally), I found the Name most ironic (yet beautiful to say and write) as I was born a Fire Sign under Leo, The Lion and could not swim. Never-the-less, I wasn’t about to change it since the ‘A’ in Adrienne stood for my Great Grandmother ‘Anna’ Teitelbaum and was a Tribute to her.Now as I google ‘Adrienne,’ that Definition is not written anywhere in sight or on-site, except now on My BLOG, KOOPERSMITHin’ ®, where it will happily rest.As the Assignee or Recipient of ADRIENNE DAY ©2001 that falls on January 23RD, for 2008 upon its 7TH Year Milestone, I have taken the liberty to change its proper Name or Title to:

This methodic Move will now include every Adrienne and its Derivatives (including Males) outside the Shores of The United States of America to celebrate and commemorate the Holidate ®.

For those of you who are unaware, a HOLIDATE is derived from the 2 Terms:

Holiday + Date = Holidate

and is described as a ‘Goodwill, Humanitarian, Altruistic, Educational, Recreational, Spiritual, Fun-Time and Fun-Type Event or Holiday.’

ADRIENNE's DAY INTERNATIONAL ©2008 is only one of over 1,500 more 'Holidates To Celebrate' in:

The Art of Event-Making
Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith’s Campaigns for Humanity ©1990.

TO CONTINUE: The Challenge, of course, is to inform each and every Adrienne and its Derivatives (including Males), but plans to ‘work’ this Holidate have been on the Drawing Board since its Inception. KOOPERSMITHin’ ® will be used as Adrienne Central.Today is the Day for all Adriennes (Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) to celebrate even if you were not born on January 23RD.

It’s an Art to live up to such a fine, historically enriched name but throughout History few Adriennes have let us down. At times like this, we’re pleased that History does repeat itself in a positive manner. The Name, Adrienne is memorable. It’s classically defined. It crosses the Atlantic and from Europe and glides to the Pacific Ocean clearing the South Pacific Brim. “Growing Up Adrienne” most likely will immediately separate a Kid or young Child in Grade and Grammar School from ‘The Pack’ which most often consisted largely of all the Anns, Cathies and Marys as well as the Pauls, Bills and Patricks in the classroom. Such was the case for me until I reached High School circa 1966 when ‘Adrianne D’ (to protect the Innocent) entered The System. I was no longer alone. Which Adrienne/Adrianne were they speaking about?

Inquiring minds wanted to know…IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING:

“To know an Adrienne is to love an Adrienne.”When polled, few People will admit they knew many ADRIENNEs during their Life(times), but may mention those (in passing) who have made a Big Name for themselves.

A random Sampling of noteworthy and/or famous Adriennes are:

WONDER OF ALL WONDERS: With the high-powered assistance of Google, type in the name ‘Adrienne’ and within a matter of 0.03 seconds, 11,600,000 Adriennes will electronically appear, thus networking us as quickly as possible.Perform an Advanced Search and 984,000 more Hits appear. The Search can grow more intense as additional Key Words are employed.

School Teachers may want to undertake PROJECT: ADRIENNE ® as a Class Assignment with their Students as the consistent Milestones Adriennes (and her spicy derivating Alternates and Synonimc Spellings of Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) have secured and proven century-in and century-out stand apart both online and off.A Lesson as that can prove to be extremely interesting while opening doors along the ways to pursuing higher Education, Academic Excellence, inspiriing Growth and Learning.

“Plowing thru 187,000 Hits for the Name, Adrienne (per Google on January 20, 2008 at 2 PM), you would instantly believe (without a single doubt) that it was the most popular Name in the Milky Way Solar System. However, it is not in a disparaging way. Around my Household and in my Life & Realm, Adrienne ranks and rates as #1. Understandably other Adriennes would agree with me.”Quote of: Adrienne Sioux KoopersmithTuesday, January 22, 2008The 1990 U.S. Census reported that Adrienne is a very popular Female First name but is seldom a Surname.

The Concerns around Adrienne is that We are always known by our First Name much like Cher, Madonna, Oprah and Hillary. ‘Impressionable’ is what Scholars label it. ‘Monumental’ is what many Adriennes wish and plan to do FOR and DURING their Lifetimes. Remembering them from The Past to The Present to The Future maintains a constant Air that other commonplace names cannot hold a Candle or live up to.

On January 23 of 2001 (slightly 7 months before Terrorism struck American Cities), I was deeply honored when Eric Zorn) one of Chicago’s prominent Columnists and a Member of the Chicago Tribune Staff chose to dedicate a Day and Date to me for the 1,500 HOLIDATES and Eventology Writings I had created since July 25, 1990. This Act(ion) was similar to having a Star named after you or a commemorative Stamp unveiled. Because Eric picked January 23 (1/23) as:

I feel sharing that Tribute with other Adriennes is the appropriate and typically very Adriennesque next proper Step to take in its Evolution. It’s wise. It’s prudent. There is Power in Numbers. Who doesn’t like to receive a Distinction?

Naturally, Celebrations can run ‘The Gamut’ depending on how lavish the Event is to become. Suggestions from ‘My Inner Adrienne’ tell me to hold an International Convention in Adrian, Michigan in 2009 so We can get a Grip on the Essence of Everything Adrienne. After all, Fellow Adriennes (Adrianne, Adrean, Adriane, Adriene, Adrianna, Aydrienne, Hadrian, Hadriane, Adrian and Adriaan) will agree that:“We have come a long ways, Baby!”since the antiquated Days of the Hadrian Popes. Thanks to Eric Zorn’s Designation: “We have arrived full Circle.”From that initial Convention or Conference,

an ADRIENNE-O-PEDIA ©2001-10

can be written of which I could, should and would act as Editor-In-Chief. Every enrolled Adrienne (and her/his Derivative) would have a Booth in which to Adrienne-icize their Wares, Cares, Campaigns, Interests and Contributions they have given to Society.

January 23RD is the Date in Calendrical Time for all Adriennes (no matter how the Name is spelled to celebrate their Name’s rich Heritage. Additional Exposure, Fun & Opportunity await each Adrienne. Restaurants should give us a sizable discount after showing a valid I.D. Other Retail Freebies should be enacted to draw in the Adrienne ‘Vote of Approval’ for this highly special Day.

RANKING THE NAME: When Numbers seem to make an Impact“Rankings of our Name do not really matter as We prefer the Name keeping its uniqueness. Babies can be born consistently; however, few grow up to be(come) a tried and true Adrienne.”

Claiming Credit for the Creation of the Name, ADRIENNEThe Fight is on:Five (5) different Meanings of the Name, Adrienne are:

1. From Hadria (a Person hailing from Hadria located in Northern Italy)

2. Day of Fire

3. The Calling

4. Woman of The Seacoast

5. Man of The Sea

SEA-ing is Believing:The Adriatic Sea is a Section of the Mediterranean Sea, a Body of Water dividing the Balkan from the Italian Peninsula. The Name can be traced back to the Times of Antiquity with the Ancient Romans’ Latin. ‘Adria’ (or Hadria) (as a term) is most likely sourced from the Illyrian word, adur denoting ‘Sea or Water.’ Correlating Medieval Latin’s terms are Adriaticum, Hadrianus and/or Hadriaticum.“All Names have Meanings. Some of us grow into our Names. Some of us don’t. Folks should not be named until they are between the Ages of 13-15 to make sure that their Name is befitting of their Character and Attitude. Quality, not quantity is what the Core Value is here.”

Probably no other name in Contemporary Times has so many Off-Shoots as Adrienne. A large Range of Names exists because of the Similarity of Languages, Tribes and ongoing Migrations when People travelled and spread across The Planet during the Age of Exploration. For thousands of years, this Breaking of Barriers (through nomadic expeditions, conquests, via the Crusades, etc.) became the Sources of these Multiple Name Origins where more than one Meaning and Spelling evolved in each Location.

ORIGINS OF ADRIENNE:The French meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ implies dark and emanating from the Adriatic Sea Region. The Female Name ‘Adrienne’ (ad-rienne, adri(en)-ne) is pronounced AY-dree-en. Adrian is its French Male Counterpart. The Greek Meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ with Adrian as a variant, connoting ‘dark and rich.’The Latin Meaning of the Women’s Name ‘Adrienne’ mean from the Adriatic Region and (again) dark. After infiltrating the major Languages of Ages ago, it would not take long for The Saints to have their own Days. According to the Google Nation, ‘Adrian’ is the Patron Saint of Soldiers and Butchers. What’s Good for The Goose is Genteel for the Gander: Exploring the Male Side:It’s a Name that’s as good for the Goose as it is for the Gander.

In Poland, Germany, Russia, Romania and English-speaking Countries, Adrian is the Masculine Gender. Pronunciations are different, of course, but the Root can be traced to earlier French, Latin and Greek Names.ADRIENNE GOES GLOBAL:Just how popular is the Name, Adrienne. Let’s take a look at five (5) important Adriennic Timelines and Locations for the Name.261ST - as a Woman’s Name in Canada (BC) circa 2001Personally, I cannot think of 260 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Canada.

389TH - as a Female Name in Australia (NSW) circa 2000

Personally, I cannot think of 388 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Canada.

449TH - as a Woman’s Name in Australia (NSW) circa 2003Personally, I cannot think of 448 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Australia.

706TH - as a Female Name in Australia (NSW) circa 1998

Personally, I cannot think of 705 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Australia.

3,016TH - as a Woman’s Name in Belgium circa 2002

Personally, I cannot think of 3,015 more important Names (better than Adrienne) in Belgium.“Interestingly enough, from the 5-Tier Listing above, the Evidence leads us conclusively to believe that Adriennes live in the USA, Canada, Australia and Belgium although the Name itself is Greek, Latin and French in Origin. With Starvation, Terrorism, Homelessness in our World, Global Warming and a medley of unconquerable Diseases plaguing complete societies, is it really that important to rank Names? For the sake of Pop Culture, it is. For the Survival and Duration of The Species, apparently not.”

Scores of Hospitals must be visited to arrive at these Statistics:In 2005, Adrienne ranked as 728THIn 2000, Adrienne ranked as 529THIn 1995, Adrienne ranked as 408THIn 1990, Adrienne ranked as 240THWithin fifteen (15) years, ADRIENNE (as a Name) has fallen 488 Popularity Points.Perusing the Decades, for me, it’s ‘of interest’ to see that when I was born in August of 1952, ADRIENNE reached its Peak of Popularity.

Adrienne ranked in as 335TH from 1990 – 1999.
Adrienne ranked in as 189TH from 1980 – 1989.
Adrienne ranked in as 201ST from 1970 – 1979.
Adrienne ranked in as 342ND from 1960 – 1969.
Adrienne ranked in as 336TH from 1950 – 1959.
Adrienne ranked in as 432ND from 1940 – 1949.
Adrienne ranked in as 405TH from 1930 – 1939.
Adrienne ranked in as 633RD from 1920 – 1929.
Adrienne ranked in as 730TH from 1910 – 1919.
Adrienne ranked in as 699TH from 1900 – 1909.

An active and concerted effort to improve the Visibility of all Adriennes since the Name’s popularity has been waning and has fallen ‘hard’ since 1990. Therefore, to insure that Adrienne ranks higher for The Decade of 2000-2009, an active campaign – even one via word-of-mouth – should be launched towards Couples giving Birth to Twins. Therefore, the Girl Baby can be called Adrienne and her Brother, Adrian. With high rates of fertility, that move alone would substantially increase Adrienne’s Popularity up the Scales.'I' BEFORE 'E':

CONCLUSION: For all the Effectiveness, Skill, Creativity, Production and Color an Adrienne adds to a Day, We deserve our very own Day and January 23RD is it. Thanks to (Mr.) Eric Zorn, he has given us our Day in the Sun. Although I may be firmly biased in my Stand, my Inclination towards my First Name Adrienne is three-fold in nature as:

1. 'Adrienne' was my Mother’s Best Friend’s Name in grade school;

2. 'Adrienne' is a Name given to me honoring my Maternal Great-Grandmother, Anna, thus keeping the Genealogy in line(age); and

3. 'Adrienne' consistently reminds me of my 3 favorite Action Words: Adventure, Adrenalin & Advertising that I have harmoniously woven into my Lifestyle. Adrienne – in all its breadth, depth, length, glory and history – beats out being given another lackluster Number that needs to be memorized. My Salute becomes your Salute in Namesake alone.”

ASK's Close of Intl Thank You Days ©1994 for 2012. Thank you, LORD!

It’s Wednesday, January 18, 2012 –Day 8 of 8 for Intl Thank You Day ©1994 & I am really quite honestly THANKFUL that said HOLIDATE® is over with. Do you think it’s fun to be so thankful all the time? Well, let me tell you, it’s not. I can think of other things to do. Being thank-ful sometimes is a royal thankless job; especially so when U C things on line that were swiped & U realize Artists – Writers – Songwriters (who[m]ever) that Creatif may be is not getting the proper (if any) credit he/she/they should be getting. That’s what I’m consumed with today.

Pirating vs. Privacy Rights & Restrictions.

All over the Web; it’s the Talk of the Planet. But this is good because if the focus is put on it, maybe something will come about in our Favor for a change. Now, that, I can be thankful for!

For those of you who participated in my Intl Thank You Day ©1994, I hope you had a great time and helped spread the Cheer that it is to spread. I’m grateful 4 all the Queries I received; Interviews I did and Greeting Cards sold. So much so that hey: Let’s do it all again next year! Your Facebook Page(s) or mine!

And above all else, I think I'll close by saying:

I THANK G-D, Intl Thank You Day ©1994 is over for yet another year so I can go on with another Holidate - there's only 1900+ in my Haven of Holidates...© left to celebrate and commemorate. If we could only get these days off WITH pay...

1) The "Rooster" – Feels that it is their job to tell Facebook "Good Morning" every day.

2) The "Lurker" – Never posts or comments on your post, but reads everything, and might make reference to your status if they ever meet you.

3) The "Hyena" – Doesn't ever really say anything, just LOLs and LMAOs at everything.

4) "Mr/Ms Popular" – Has 4,367 friends for NO reason

5) The "Gamer" – Plays Words With Friends, Mafia Wars, Bakes virtual cakes and stuff, etc., ALL DAY.)

6) The "Cynic" – Hates their life, and everything in it, as evidenced by the somber tone in ALL of their status updates.

7) The "Liker" – Never actually says anything, but always clicks the "like" button

9) "Drama Queen/ King" – This person always posts stuff like "I can't believe this!", or "They gonna make me snap today!", in the hopes that you will ask what happened, or what's wrong...but then they never finish telling the story.

9) The "Picture Fan' - loves the profile picture so sends friend requests on that basis, and Lastly....

10) The "Thief" – Steals status updates... and will probably steal this one... — at 海洋公園哈佬喂共和國.

From the Creator of Intl Thank You Days ©1994 - Screens & Betty White...for Starters!

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 is quickly drawing to a close, but I must say that it marks the 7TH Day of Intl Thank You Days ©1994. I can honestly say I am so thankful for getting this Dissertation nearly done. It grew from 2 Words last Week to 11,909 & is shaping up wonderfully. I’m even surprised & it takes LOTS to surprise me. Can U imagine if I had to write this with pencil or crayon! My hands and arms would be pulsing. Writing via a Computer is the greatest Invention & I’m so thankful that We live in a day & age when that’s possible. Thank our Lucky Stars, too. Uncle Roger knows a lot about the Stars, he’s a stellar sort of Dude!
I’m also thankful for BETTY WHITE who celebrated her 90TH Birthday last night. That’s when I hit the 10,117 mark on my Dissertation & I really needed somebody to crack me up. Betty & her Friends did just that. But I want to comment MORE on her 2-moro & what she stands for. Tracing this all back to its roots, I’m also thankful for Screens as the TV & Computer Screens made these 2 comments possible & easier. And on that note…I’m going 2 let U all B thankful as this Posting is only 242 long! That may B the biggest thing to be thank-ful yet during my Holidate known as INTERNATIONAL THANK YOU DAYS ©1994.

Chicago Writers Association: Book Awards rival those of the New York Times' Best Sellers.

ASK’s LITERARY RECO: CWA Book of the Year Award Winners

Originally posted on 12/1/2011 6:24:38 AM

Three debut authors & a New York Times Best-Selling author who self-published his latest work are the winners of the Chicago Writers Association’s first Book of the Year Awards.

The awards will be presented at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at The Book Cellar, 4736-38 Lincoln Ave., in Chicago’s Lincoln Square. The event is free and open to the public.

The winning books are “Portraits of a Few of the People I’ve Made Cry” by Christine Sneed, “Honk Honk, My Darling: A Rex Koko Private Clown Mystery” by James Finn Garner, “Three Wishes: A True Story of Good Friends, Crushing Heartbreak, and Astonishing Luck on our Way to Love and Motherhood” by Pamela Ferdinand, Carey Goldberg and Beth Jones, and “Giants in the Park: A Guide to Portrait Statues in Chicago’s Lincoln Park” by Krista August.

* * * * * *

YES: The Event was held last night and as Randy Richardson, President of the CWA stated & I paraphrase: The talent Chicago has cannot be measured. There were well over 100 people who attended. The authors read selections of their books and the support displayed only proves that Chicago talent is alive and writing and in eloquent, educational and entertaining ways. Since it’s wintertime in these parts, what better way is there to pass that time than to warm up with a great selection of books. After attending last night’s Awards Ceremony, I suggest you start with these:

Christine’s Portraits of a Few of the People I’ve Made Cry;

Jim’s Honk Honk, My Darling: A Rex Koko Private Clown Mystery;

Pam, Carey & Beth’s Three Wishes: A True Story of Good Friends, Crushing Heartbreak, and Astonishing Luck on our Way to Love and Motherhood; &

Krista’s Giants in the Park: A Guide to Portrait Statues in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.

Next year will mark the Chicago Writers’ Association’s Second Awards Presentation. Join the Group – submit your Book. You may find yourself on stage…next January. Now, that’s something to write home about if you ‘ask’ me!

From the Creator of: INTL THANK YOU DAYS ©1994 - Day #5: Revelations & Perspectives.

Sunday, January 15, 2012 marks Day #5 of my INTERNATIONAL THANK YOU DAYS ©1994 as well as Martin Luther King’s Birthday. Dr. King would be 83 years old today. Although ITYD has a set Eventological Formula for its 8-Days of Celebration (in book format that I wrote ‘back during the late 1900s’ that only I know), being grateful, appreciating & thanking can take all varieties of formats & since MLK’s Birthday is Today, on the Ides of January, We should stop & think & say: THANKS – by thinking of all the great Speeches he wrote; the marches he partook in; the Risks he took, even by sacrificing his own Life – in order that People of (all Skin Tones) can & should come together & try to live in Peace & Harmony. Now, to me, that’s a Format & Formula that must be taken up by more People as We start our Days & end our Nights. I’m also grateful for the Fact that I had a great Visit with my Mother who taught me the things in life like being thankful as well as the fact that it’s Sunday – a PLAY DAY; it’s sunny out; the Snow is melting; & tasks are getting done. Moreover, I’m additionally grateful for the terrific CHICAGO WRITERS ASSOCIATION AWARDS EVENT that I attended last night @ the Book Cellar on N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago & grateful for what Dr. King left us with, a quote that states:

“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

From the CREATOR of Intl Thank You Days ©1994 - Day #4 for 2012.

INTL THANK YOU DAYS ©1994 is still here with us. Today, Saturday, January 14TH, 2012 is Day #4 if my math serves me write. It ought to. I created it; so it's just like ONE OF MY CHILDREN &/or TOYS since I have no human kids that I know of. Altho 1/2 of Today is over and it might be too late to thank someone - as it's noon here in Chicago - meaning it's Sunday 1/2 a world away from Chicagoland, USA, I am thankful for FACEBOOK. It's also a month before Valentine's Day so GUYS get ready to shop; be romantic & spoil your loved ones - pets, included.

As for myself, I am thankful I got to sleep in. After all, it is Saturday - a Day of Rest. Some Tribes don't even: WOTS: Work On The Sabbath. Lucky-Lucky-Them. And, the Post Office in this area of town is closing down; therefore, FB is the only really fast way to correspond with y'all. Yup, I have things to be thankful for besides those Ancient Sumerians who invented the Wheel & Languages that allow us to correspond so well...if they only knew...

INTL THANK YOU DAYS ©1994 is still here w/us, Folks. I am thankful for High Technology today becuz I needed help on sentence & since it's nice over here in the City that rocks, Chicago & nobody is home, I wrote to a dear friend - a Literary Agent out on the East Coast to help me brush a thought up. DID HE? Yes, he did - he even used a Latin Word so I sound 'smart.' Yes, and for that I am THANK-full he is on my side as well as being smart and someone I can count on. I'm also thank-full for shameless plus like this one, where I get to show-off one of my photos that I took of DAH FROG -- GORF, as found in my GOING GREEN ChicaGORF literature, books and even on my blog. That reads as: U can now read more about this Popular HOLIDATE that I created @: Good Night, Folks - tomoro is another day...I'm sure I'll find something to be thankful about...

ASK on my 800TH Blog. Thankfulocity; Skeptimatics & Fauxisms. All in Day's Timely Events.

This is my 800th BLOG since November 2007:

EVENTOLOGICALLY-speaking there R 3 major HOLIDATES happening today besides the Traditional Ones. There’s Intl Thank You Day #3 of 8 where we stop and thank somebody somewhere for something that they may have done that we didn’t really acknowledge. This HOLIDATE was actually for my kindergarten teacher, Miss Lucille Fritz that taught me how to start creating. She was the 2nd person. The first is My Mom. However, in 1957, I was forced to go to kindergarten. Moms were not allowed That made me cry. Miss Fritz (this was before women began using the ‘Ms.’ Prefix) led me over to a chair and table, about 2 feet off the ground and set me down with a piece of paper & crayola. At which time, I totally LOST MYSELF in my drawings & whatever else I found ‘of interest.’ Thanks to Miss Fritz I’ve been LOST ever since. Then, I graduated from Kindergarten and never thanked her for that experience. Miss Fritz actually taught my Dad, younger bro and sister as well as myself. After my sister graduated she retired – having had enuf of ‘our family.’ Not that we were all cry-babies…So although it was 35 years after I attended Miss Fritz’s Kindergarten Class, I’m still thankful for what she provided. OK, U can stop crying now – although we can be thank-ful for Kleenex & Tissue today – esp. in the cold of winter when our noses run…and cars don’t.

Then, there’s INTL SKEPTICS’ DAYS ©1997 that deals with being skeptical. Many Skeptics Societies exist around the world – which are responsible for dispelling the quacks amongst us. Not that there are any quick quacks here on my Facebook page, of course, but for the most part they are astute scientists or those involved in disproving things that just don’t lay right, but are ‘promoted’ nonetheless. I had written a booklet on the subject matter and sent it out to all of them as I find the topic fascinating. Their Main Resource is found at: Now, ISD only occurs when there is a Friday the 13TH – therefore, there are never more than 4 in any given year – it’s considered a FLOATING HOLIDATE and can just pop up on your if UR not skeptically inclined. However, it does have one steady & sturdy date of November 4TH – the time of (an) election. I’ve been skeptical about candidates for years so this date also falls into the Skeptical Realm.

Then, of course, for all you fashionistas OUT THERE, there’s FAUX FUR FRIDAYS ©2008 which is self-explanatory. No small and fuzzy creature should be dying because you want real fur. The lines of faux fur are so incredible these days, many look even better than the animal they were patterned after.

As my Friend, DAN SHURE stated in a previous FB note he penned: I need to start celebrating and there must be at least six holidates just today I could be enjoying.

He’s WRITE U know, but gosh, I’m ready for a nap after just writing about those 3. There’s always tomoro to be thankful; skeptical and faux’d for! I smell lunch…

ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith - America's Premier Eventologist on: Intl Thank You Day #2 for 2012.

INTL THANK YOU DAYS #2 ©1994 is here and I am thankful that it's snowing out. OK, let's scratch that one. I am thank for YOU. Now, that sounds way too mushy. Let's get 'intelligent.' Yes, I am thank-full for this Website that is called:

Calculate distance between two locations

all found at:

I'm writing (again) ONE of my Stories and I needed the distance between Chicago & Mumbai (formerly the OLD Bombay, India) and within 2 seconds, I had it. Oh yes, we all know I had it (@ 59 U should have something) years ago, but I was shocked - pleased and pleasantly shocked to have this vital info -- all at my very fingertips - NOW YOURS -- in order to do your calculations. Thank you Google Guys, namely:

Larry Page and Sergey Brin

who made this all possible in the First Place.

This site does more, too - check it out. And that, Dear Friends, is what I am really THANK-full for today: Day #2 of: INTL THANK YOU DAYS #2 ©1994.

Needless to say, THANK YOU to Mark Zuckerberg & his team for making Facebook what is has come to mean for all of us. The lengths these THANK YOUs can reach is incredible -- whether UR nearby or far off, there's always SOMETHING to be thankful for.

And what R U thankful for? Need I ask…

From the Creator of Intl Thank You Days ©1994, Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith: The 2012 Update.

ASK'S RECO: This is very cool. Somebody really neat wrote up 1 of my favorite HOLIDATES: Intl Thank You Days ©1994 that began back during that other century & millennium - the 1900s. ITYD is 19 years old; the last year said Holidate will be a 'teen.' And, I thought I was getting old - with my Countdown to 60 happening this very year yet!

At your convenience (as the HOLIDATE is over a week long), please check out what:

Jace Shoemaker-Galloway has to say at:

Happy International Thank You Day! Today is all about appreciating what we have and the people in our lives. Today is International Thank You Day (ITYD). Launched in 1994 by Mendota, IL native, Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, ITYD is an international...

ME AGAIN: And, I guess I have to say...esp. at this time of year: THANK YOU, Jace...what more can I say! People think I'm too wordy as it is, but THANK U alone sums it all up..."It's the little pleasantries in life that count the most and matter lots," if you 'ask' me!

ASK's EVENTOLOGICAL RECO: While celebrating Intl Thank You Days ©1994 - I stumbled upon this impressive Listing while reading the online article that Jace penned:jennifers/thankyou.htm

I wonder how you say: THANK YOU in sign language - it's got to be out there on the web, as well...

ADDENDUM #2 ADDED at 1:25 PM CST's my Holidate known as International Thank You Days ©1994...& I just did an interview. Those R always fun. The RTSH: Radio Talk Show Host asked me what I'm thank-ful for. Small puppies and children, I was going to say, but I didn't want to sound like too much of a sap. So I said (amongst other things): That I don't have COLD HANDS. After all, I live in Chicago and the sun is shining and it's into the 50s. That's ABOVE freezing. Usually it's much colder; windier and more brutal. Yes, we can be thankful for and about weather. And this is one day that proves that quite well. I asked: What R U thankful for? I know Robin C will have an answer...I'm thankful for her...and all of my FB budds - that's for sure - even if it's NOT Intl Thank You Days...

Update on: The ANT Books & Flicks: January 10, 2012

ASK’s ANT-ified UPDATE: Ani-MAY-tion Month Intl ©2010 (known as AMI) is coming along as we rock into 2012. AMI is going along as planned. Nearly all of the ANTS of iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2010, the Script I penned that beat out 3164 others in a Hollywood Screenplay Competition have been ‘charactered’ to my exact liking. That I like. And: I like that a lot since I’m a perfectionist on how they be portrayed. The Story is now in 2 Parts so that the Sequel can expose more about their Ways. On February 14TH, a val-ANT-ine Day Card will be hoisted and posted showing the Strides we’ve made so far! More as more gets done.

ASK's Countdown to 60. Celebrating ASK's & The Today Show big 'Six-Oh-My-Gosh!"

Chicago, IL USA:

Dateline: January 9, 2012: Nine (9) years & 11 months ago I became tremendously frustrated because 1 of my fave Chicago mags stated their demographics centered on those who were between 25-49. Well, I was going to turn 50 in 6 months & this maddened me since I was a fan of this Pub for a long, long time. So, as I always do – I use my creative streak & literary talents to let off steam & created AFSEE: Advocates For Senior Equality & Enrichment ©2002 which is a forum that I use in which to tell about justices turned inside out for those of us who are 50+. And, this Decade, especially with layoffs – downsizing and other social aspects really gave me lots of food for fodder & topics to expose.

Now, as I look @ the Calendar ‘today’ – I’m approaching 60 in 7 more months, which makes AFSEE® all the more important, to say the least, one thing that most writers cannot do or refuse to do.

Coincidentally, 1 of my favorite Programs, NBC’s TODAY SHOW turns 60 this Month on January 13TH. Or as I like to call mine:

Countdown to 60

NBC’s could most certainly be called: CountdowNBC.

But there’s a difference between the Age of a Person and that of an inanimate Object. I’m not sure why this is so. Maybe I’ll find out within my next 60. If any one knows why, send that News on over ‘Today.’

ASK on Copyright Infringement, Plagiarism & Intellectual Property: January 6, 2012.

ASK ON PROTECTING YOUR LITERATURE & YOUR RIGHTS: WRITERS BEWARE! Imagine this Scenario if you will, scene-by-scene. You work really, really hard – possibly Decades over a Project (that is fully copyrighted via the Library of Congress) only to wake up one morning & find that someone (who heard about it via your methodical promotional efforts) decided to claim it as their own and make it into a Prime Time TV Commercial without giving Compensation &/or Credit to you? Where is that Audience going to go to find out WHO the real Genius is while this ‘Group’ sits back & cashes in on a Writing that is legally not theirs?

Well, Folks, guess what? That happened to me. Let this FB Note serve as a Notice. It’s extremely important to protect AGAINST those who are outright Thieves with no Conscience and Morals. The Key Terms: Copyright Infringement, Intellectual Property & Plagiarism need to be kept in the front of your forehead, always.
Because this unscrupulous Group used all the major Medias in which to promote themselves, I have tracked them all down, leaving an overt paper-trail that is easy to pick-up and (so) easy for an(y) Attorney to investigate.

My Goal (which will set a Precedence in Internet Annals) now is ‘The Obvious.’ Writers & Authors (as well as Writer’s Magazines, Talk Show Hosts & Journalism Classes) should make it a Point to be on the Outlook for this new Variety of Internet Robbery.

Toy Trends of Today: 2012. A General Question that needs Specific Answers.

Attn: All TOY Associated People - Places - Things:

Happy New Year! It’s officially here. Say, can U tell us all ... out here:

No doubt, those Trends on the East Coast are different from those of the West Coast compared to ours, located here in the Heartland. Then, there’s all that fine TOY-age found in other Places on Planet Earth that are influenced by their particular Surroundings & WoLaL: Way of Life and Living.

Then, you certainly cannot forget those of us who are astute Vintage vs. Modern TOY Collectors. There are so many Compartments when it comes to ATT: All Things Toy. That’s what keeps us interested in them, all of them & every single one of ‘them.’

Now, as usual, I’m setting a few Trends of my own as ‘Dressing as Your Favorite Toys.’ That’s in the Plural, of course. When it comes to TOYS, my Motto is TMTM: The More The Merrier. Yes, I already have that Acronym made into Postcards. T-Shirts will be sold 4 Valentine’s Day. Mugs by the Ides of March. And, when you dress as your Favorite Toy, they don’t have to necessarily be ‘Dolls.’ They can just as easily be plush, plastic and/or robotized TOYS – whatever tickles your fancy or not so fancy (if UR a simpler Sort of Personality). However, if you’re like me – an avid and life-long TOY Collector & Enthusiast, TOYS are a daily Phenomenon & are quite addicting, like Chocolate.

While thinking & pondering about this Topic, this may just be the YEAR OF TOYS (p.e.r.i.o.d). We’re certainly lucky to have 2012 as a Leap Year that equates to one (1) more Day to collect, play & dust our Collections. We certainly have a Plethora of Varieties & an Olio of Assortments in which to pick & chooz. Maybe I just answered my own Question.

Your Turn…the Topic was: And TOY TRENDS OF 2012 are…

ASK Announces The 18TH Year Celebration of NATIONAL SMITH DAY for 2012.

on January 6.

NSD is 1 of my most popular HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE® (taken from 1900+ that I’ve created since July 25, 1990). This year’s Celebration will be occurring again in 2 more Days, on Friday, January 6, 2012. For this year’s Celebration, I’ll be releasing an Acronym for the Event that will be unveiled on January 6 by NOON CST.
Plus with millions of Smiths all about us, let’s give credit where it is rightfully due.

If you are, know, or have an association to a Smith – whether that person is a Smith/Smithe/Smyth/Smythe or any derivative as Metalsmith, Aerosmith, or even Coppersmith – as many of those folks ‘LOST’ their Smith-iness when they came on over here via Ellis Island, send me their name & URL and I’ll be picking one every hour to Facebook on January 6TH.

My First Posting for 2012 as found on Facebook is below:

‎2012: Toto...looks like we're not in Kansas anymore!

Although I was not online - on the monumental date of Sunday, January 1, 2012 to fully commemorate & immortalize my official COUNTDOWN TO SIXTY® as the year spun over from 11 to 12, I'm particularly happy to note that my favorite Broadcasting Network - TV Station, NBC also turns 60 this year. They are about 6 months older than I am. NBC's birthday/anniversary falls on the 13TH of January - shortly & mine is on August 9TH.

Therefore, for any Person born in 1952 who wants to note/commemorate and/or celebrate this Time Slot, please join me in this Year Long Event -- as we do get an extra Day with Leap Year falling @ the End of February. Your Experiences can be written up; video'd – via any creative means that you prefer.

Perhaps a magazine, TV producer and/or book publisher can be found to then take the Project to the next Level. After all, there's nothing like the Power of a BabyBoomer and since the general Population is aging gracefully, We B-52-ers can show them HOW it is done exactly & correctly.
