Come on, Guys. There's really nothing NEW in Ice Cream. Ben & Jerry's get to THE CORE for more Calories, FanFare & Publicity. Hello, Diabetes, Health Care’s #1 Enemy.


Wednesday, February 26, 2014 is the Day that Ben & Jerry’s released their Core #IceCreams, evidently something that is, to rock our IceCream World sending it far-off into the Milky Way Zone, one spoonful at a time.  I’ve cleared up that Mystery which really is just a change in direction when it comes to laying out the Ice Cream Landscape.
 

That Piece is: 

 
Circa 1958 when I was 6 and "Growing Up Koopersmith" Sealtest Ice Cream produced Neapolitan #IceCream in a gallon size 'square box.' Composed of 3 flavors on top of each other, namely Strawberry - Vanilla - Chocolate, it was the very same concept as this layering -- except the Container was different.  But no matter who or what or the year, Ice Cream puts us into a gr-EAT mood with every sKOOP from KOOP(ersmith). 


So much getting to the CORE of our growing Obesity Problem.

ROBERT NEEDS HELP IMMEDIATELY! Osteo-Arthritis Patient searches for RELIEF.

 
ROBERT NEEDS HELP IMMEDIATELY! 

My fiancé, ROBERT has a severe case of Osteo-Arthritis in his lower back.  This is a degenerative Disease that does not get ‘better’ as he ages.  Combined with this problem, he fell on the ice 10 days ago and is in excruciating, constant pain.  He cannot sleep, but for maybe 1-2 hours a day.  Lack of Sleep is also taking a toll on him. He refuses to take OPIATES that his doctor suggested.  I don’t blame him.  He says he is always in Pain.  He is bed-bound (therefore, apartment-bound) and depressed. We live on the North Side of Chicago. 

PURPOSE OF THIS POSTING:  Via this posting, do any of you have ANY Suggestions on how he can alleviate this Pain – with proven results that are NOT habit-forming?  This is heart-breaking for both of us as his Quality of Life has diminished.  If you know of any remedies or doctors who are specialists in this field, please let me know.

Why CBS [Chicago & NYC] are far better quality TV Stations than NBC. An ASKian Viewpoint in 512 Words - the Write Words at that.


ICAWW:  IN CASE ANYONE WAS WONDERING:  I switched from NBC to CBS about 2 weeks ago for all my NEWS (mornings – night) because of the inflated egos Channel 5 staffers have.  Their job is to report the news – not increase their FB networks. I switched to CBS and found that CBS is refreshing.  Furthermore, they are totally serious when reporting the(ir) news along with a dash of being extremely entertaining.   Vince Gerasole - (General Assignment Reporter’s) segments are awesome.  He makes us forget that we are in the middle of a #PolarVortex with his personalized segments.  Plus, the stories are not repetitive so the viewing never becomes boring. 

 

JUST THIS AM:  I was very happy to see the huge blocks of time & advertisements you (CBS/Chicago) gave to #1871Chicago – headed my HOWARD TULLMAN -  The Digital Incubator Space where entrepreneurs can grow their Products/Brands - located in the Heart of the City – the Merchandise Mart - as this is a First for our City and is already a proven Success Story in creating 30 graduates and putting $30,000,000 into ‘Sweet Home Chicago.’  I learned that from Vince’s interview. 

 

REALISTICALLY NOW:  No one has to leave Chicago to get inspired or be challenged – 1871/Chicago proves that.  Seeking that kind of support is so important in today’s job arena.

 

THEN:  When 7 AM rolls around and National News is featured, I continue watching CBS/NYC as the Anchors there headed by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell are serious. They don’t try to act cutesy like NBC/NYC’s anchors. Except I always liked Ann Curry when she worked there – altho she was not given her fair share or equal treatment – dislodged as she was not too long ago. 

 

CBS/NYC’s first feature shows the listening audience what’s happening IN THE WORLD in 90 minutes – as briefs.  Whoever thought of this Segment should get a FAST COMPANY Seal of Approval. It’s ingenious! Charlie, Gayle & Norah relay the news stories without an Ego attached to the story. This is translatable to authentic news that’s as entertaining as the CBS Brand that I am now enjoying  --  (as a happy new viewer and audience member),  I will continued with CBS. 


And one incredible Take that must be mentioned is from Mo Rocco whose name I could not even decipher at first during my initial viewings.  He’s on CBS Sunday Morning & should have his own Comedy Hour – or Late Night as he comes up with One Liners & Zingers during his interviews that are funnier than what is usually heard.  There’s lots more about his Career & Comedy Stints on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mo_Rocca

 
I’m glad I flipped the Channel for real Broadcasting.  Thank you, CBS for restoring Faith in how the NEWS should be broadcast.

Those were The Days, My Friends. The Beatles upon Year 50 of the British Invasion. ASK/Chicago remembers.



ASK/CHICAGO’s EVENTOLOGICAL BLAST FROM THE PAST happens to coincide with THE BEATLES’ 50TH Year Anniversary of their Appearance on the #EdSullivan Show.  In 1994, I created a HAUTE COUTURE Holidate called:

on February 9 so that we could drag out our gear and

 

#1:  see if it still fits. After all, people’s feet don’t really grow as much as their waistlines, bellies and hips do

and

#2, primarily to have some fun since LOTS of that was done when THE FAB 4 arrived. 

 

Fifty (50) years ago was much simpler than it is today on every angle and level.

 

What I remember most of that HOLIDATE is that Leslie Baldacci, a Reporter of the Chicago Sun-Times (that’s #ChicagoSunTimes) wrote it up (as it must have been a slow news day) in the early 1990s – getting press, all thanks to John – Paul – George & Ringo.  Imagine the people who got and found work through all of their MUSI-ngs the last 50 years.  That alone is amazing without even listening to their MUSI-c.

 

BTW:  My favorite BEATLE Song is:  ‘They say it’s your Birthday’ as it always made me get up and dance – in my white go-go-boots, of course.
