One week into October, we definitely - not any of us are in the same SKiN we were merely 7 days ago. This can really boggle someone's mind, especially with photoshop and air-brushing glaring us in the eye with each magazine we peer upon @ the local news-stands.
But people have often asked me: How did you come up with the Idea for SKiN? And when I answer them, it's quite an involved discussion -- as there are:

The date 10-4 that stands for October 4 strikes alot of western(ized)people (those 45+ of age) with the nostalgic TV program called: "Car 54, Where Are You?" starring Broderick Crawford whose M.O. was just that. And just like all those dates before us and after us, it depends on what event you are faced with every day that will arise that deals with the color of SKiN you are in. If you get cut off in traffic by a person of a different color, do you immediately shout out a derogatory remark? Although many people will not openly admit that they do, at least 60% of those surveyed stated they did. Pushing buttons often starts with the jealousies and prejudices we receive from our parents at birth. Coming to terms with the SKiN you are in is what this 7-part series is all apart. After all, the key word is "APART" - man is apart of every other species, whether he/she it/them/they are clad in SKiN, Feathers, Fur or not.

Not only does SKiN (C)2009 deal wit removing and dispelling RACISM by focusing on 'The SKiN' you are in, but its themes (44 that are multi-level in Nature) crossover to cover Topics as important as: Ecology/Conservation/The Environment via The Green Movement, Self-Worth, Responsibility, Pride vs. Prejudice, Language, Humanity & Creativity. Furthermore 5 (or 50%) of THE TOYS were purchased at Re$sale Stores. Therefore, TOYS (once discarded) were recycled; Money $aved and Valuable Lessons in Budgeting were instilled besides knowing that many of these Priceless and Precious Species are on the National Registry of Endangered Species, a Concept Man must alleviate Today in order to SAVE OUR PLANET, our only Home, Selves adn the Creatures we live and share a Space (with).

There are so many SKiN products on the marketplace, it is difficult to choose which ones are best for your SKiN Type; whether it is dry, oily or normal. One that caught my eye as I went through the coupons in the local Saturday supplements is called: Sundown Naturals: Super Snooze Melatonin - the Nighttime Forumula because it stated the 'M' word which is the only difference that People of Color (that includes all of us)share. Melatonin protects the SKiN from harsh ultra-violet rays and is no indicator whatsoever of intelligence in a person(ality).
"How rumors get started is surely the downfall of Mankind," PanZee states as THE TROUPE stepped from the SKiNnacular Room to the foyer. "We Chimps have never rumored in over 2 million years. At times, you have to step back and wonder who evolved..."

Therefore, it's time to prepare for the harsh winter by deciding how you will protect your SKiN. There are many ointments and creams on the open marketplace and pampering for the winter months is something we all should do to look the best in the SKiNS we are in.
