Countdown to Rango...a GORE VERBINSKI Cinematic Production

"The big difference is that with live action, you're given these gifts from your talented actors and you hope to capture them on camera. In animation, you do very little real-time reaction to what's happening. Everything is preconceived in your frontal lobe. I spent 16 months storyboarding this movie with pencil sketches. Then getting it on screen is all minutia, minutia, minutia, fabricating one pixel at a time. But at the end, we want it to feel organic, as if there really is a 6-foot lizard in a desert town, and I'm there with a camera on my shoulder to capture what happens."
It's always in the detail and minute steps that finally get the Movie to the Screen - but how simple it looks to us who don't really appreciate the Process! What a great way to start out the Month of March...
and I must say that for those of you who fall in love with the Chameleon Toy, Folkmanis Handpuppets (folkmanis.com) has a very similar TOY for those of you who want to PLAY. I read Joe's commentary about TOY STORY back in June -- he's a great film journalist - he seems to know what to ask when the time is write. I give his writing a 2 thumbs up, comparable to GV's directing skills!

My Publisher.
My Publisher always likes it when I flush Cyberspace with all SoS: Sorts of Stuff on what I'm writing about. It's 1 thing 1 write but then it’s another thing 2 write about what UR writing on/about. Sort of Seems redundant 2 me, but that’s what UR suppose 2 do in the 21ST Century. It eliminates the Middle Man & Woman 4 The Machine – the PC which eliminates most of R Workforce here in America, that is. I always wondered about CLIFF NOTES, 2. But I’m suppose 2 start those by Mid-July. It’s suppose 2 B the way People understand the Gist of it all. We will see if that’s so. Stop ME: I’m sounding like Andy Rooney!

Being enlightened in ways that you never thought before is what give writers an extra EDGE over their competition. From 12-1 today, I attended the PETA Rally @ Careerbuilders 2 protest their SuperBowl Chimp Ad, evident ABUSE & CRUELTY of these Apes, as they force them to perform for commercials. As a PROP, I brought Panzee, 1 of the 10 stars of SKin: Sacred Kinship in Nature – How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009 from my movie/book series. Photos taken becuz THE TOY looks so life-like. Gave out flyers. Helped spread the Message to BE KIND TO ANIMALS. Info at: PETA.org
