MY JANUARY 8, 2015
SUGGESTION
&

THOUGHTS FOLLOWS:

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #201 for Thursday, January 8, 2015 is a Suggestion that you, as Individuals (who know how valuable and precious freedom is), take the Time out to buy a Subscription of Charlie Hebdo (based in Paris) that will again rise like the Phoenix and be published next Week in honor of those Cartoonists & Journalists:

Charbonnier, Wolinski, 'Tignous,'
Cabut amongst others

who died from this Massacre, a vicious Assault on Humanity, Justice, Creativity and the Freedoms most Peoples wish to preserve and pass on.

As the Founder/Creator of Cartoonists Against Crime
©1991 & Cartoonists Against Terrorism ©2001, this is an Act that 'everyone everywhere' can do; should do and must do.

AS CREATIVITIY CONTINUES IN THE LIGHT OF GRIEF AND GREAT SADNESS:
After all, there are no such 'things' as Coincidences.  Things & Life happen for a Reason that defy Logic and Common Sense.  We are happy when those times happen, even in the Presence of great Mourning.

After all, since Karma does go around, wouldn’t you ‘assume’ and delight in knowing (I know I do) that The Prophet Mohammad plucked Said or Cherif Kouachi’s ID from his Pocket (and left it as Evidence in 1 of their get-away Vehicles) in order to be found by the Parisienne Police?  What a glorious Cartoon that Thought could translate into.

AN ADDITION - TIMELY & HEART-FELT:

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #202 for Friday, January 9, 2015 is dedicated to SPLURGE on FRENCH Products/Brands/Foods du Francais.  In light of the Terrorist Attack on Paris two days ago that left 16 People (at least) dead, this is the American Way to support our Oldest Allies in their Time of Need.  I urge you – as the URGE TO SPLURGE is a Daily Way of Life for many to consider the Benefits and Privileges we have and to ensure that those continue on from this Day forth as it has since 1776.

ASK/Chicago:  The Siege is over in Paris, but so much has to be done. First of all, Terrorism must be re-examined and re-labelled to cover much more than what it is:  Open violence and killings. It has to be now relegated to being a MENTAL ILLNESS.  The reason I say this is that these young men and women are brainwashed at a very young age.  We all know (most of us who have been schooled) know that the human brain learns much of its early LESSONS by age 3.

The blazing Question to ask is:  What do you really expect if you add intimidation, hate, greed and no opportunities to immigrants that are not given a chance or are not tolerated by the society they live in? What’s to be expected except lashing out?  It’s the Haves vs. the Have Nots in many of these cases.

Paris, France has become the turning point in how We must play it safer.  When I founded Cartoonists Against Crime in December of 1991 after I was beat up, robbed and left-for-dead in the lobby of my apartment building, the only thing that was OF immediate concern was street crime and drive-by shootings. The Environment and our Neighborhoods have become much worse than that the last 14 years since September 11, 2001 when Terrorism came to our soils and turf. Even when I visited Italy in 1975 I nearly got caught in a Red Brigade (their main terrorist group) shooting.  None of us are immortal.  However, we can be as PRO-active as we can.

It’s not as easy as Rodney King’s infamous quote of:  Why can’t we all just get along?  Each of us must protect our Rights and Freedoms. We have and we continue to lose too many Precious Lives...

            Tuesday, January 13, 2015 - 8:33 AM Thought:

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #206 for Tuesday, January 13, 2015 brings us back – hopefully – to a Field of Normalcy (even if it’s lived only for a minute’s time) where We can splurge on the Good Things that can and do happen to us and not the horrific, blood Paths -  Atrocities staged against innocent People, primarily those killed in:

Paris France

and

The Young Girls (about 10 years old) used as Mules, loaded up with Explosives to kill those in the Marketplaces of Nigeria.

Also as the Creator/Founder/ Curator of:

Cartoonists Against Crime ©1991 & Cartoonists Against Terrorism ©2001

The Reality of Life now is exceedingly different than it was when I was born in the early 1950s. However, Living each Day to its fullest is the leading Principle of the Literary Genre I  introduced to the World on Wednesday, July 25, 1990 at 9:45 PM called:

EVENTOLOGY:
THE ART OF EVENT-MAKING
Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith’s Campaigns For Humanity ©1990

And for those of us so graced and blessed with a Positive Mindset and Creative Soul & Spirit, that and much more can be achieved every Day.  Spreading that Positivity around is the Theme of Today’s The Daily Splurge.  Splurging (in other Words and by its 2014 Definition) need not be a Purchase, but a Mindset that is passed along to those on the street, in your home; at work, online and off.  Achieving that Freedom cannot be taken away from us.
