Check em out if you like...After all, it can't be 90 degrees plus every Day and Winter Writings are some of the best that I've found.

There's nothing sweeter than Rich Bove's Artificial Sweetener...A Scriptapalooza Winner sweetens up his Winnings
Chicago, IL USA:
NOTE: Richard Bove is amongst the first to have his longline posted over here at Koopersmithin. This is what he has to say and with a twist, adds the delightful note that 377 Quarter Finalists are rejects. Nice work if you can get it, that's for sure. But by all means, if you are, known or plan on becoming a Literary Agent, by all means contact Richard, as his latest Writing: Artificial Sweetener may be just the script you are looking for. His note and vitals is below for your perusal.

PREFACE: How can something so LITTLE ‘bug’ us so much! It’s not about Size, it’s about persistANTS. Enter: ANTS, the Root of many of our Words as well as Worlds. ANTS come ‘n go and have done that Act(ion) consistANTly for 170,000,000 years now. Rewrite how you feel about THE iNSECT KiNGDOM by joining me for the much ANTicipated Premier of WORLD RESTAURANT DAY ©2010 on Sunday, August 21, 2011.
It may be impossible to calculate the total Number of RestaurANTS on the Planet Earth as it is to take a Census on each & every Living ANT, but it’s always possible to dream and to dream BiG. Since the Root Word of RestaurANT, undoubtedly is ANT, per my Creative Logic & Linguistic Observation and for the promotional Record, Sake & Sanctity of my Movie Script, its accompanying Book & Fairy Tale:
iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010
I can’t help but advance a Theory that will evidANTly change ‘The Course’ (Pun intended) of Modern Eating and take a ‘bite out’ (another intentional Pun) of our looming Problem of Global Warming and a rapidly changing Eco-System. That Concept is to hold an EVENTOLOGICAL HOLIDATE® (of which I am popularly noted as: ‘America’s Premier Eventologist’ & ‘The Premier Eventologist in The History of The World’) in which:
Every Restaurant across The World participates
(on a selected Day in August of 2011)
that I have declared as:
AUGUST IS ANT APPRECIATION MONTH ©2009.
Insects are mighty pertinANT in our Crop & Food Harvests. Studying them in their Habitats (that they share with us & it really is not the other Way around) is totally fascinating. Lifelong Careers have been formed focusing on The ANT-iquity of ANTS. An EVENT of this Nature (Pun #3 there) – whereby Restaurateurs – hold a Day-long Party with a Portion of the Proceeds advancing a Green Group (of which I will comprise that Listing) would be as great and beneficial as a Live Aids Concert. The Route? The EVENT starts in Australia (like Clockwork) and works its Way around The World, exactly like New Years’ Celebrations do.
In 2000, the International Hotel & Restaurant Association published an Excerpt or Research Report called ‘The Restaurant Revolution.’ Although a Decade old, the Statistics may be somewhat different (especially with the Proliferation of Reality TV Shows beginning in the 21ST Century catering to Food & all it encompasses); however, Dining & Wining continue to be ‘BIG Business’ and when combined with an importANT Cause as The Life of The Planet, mightier still.
IHRA’s Summary mentions Facts about the AmouNT of RestaurANTS that make this Special Occasion, WORLD RestaurANT DAY ©2010 especially enticing as:
- 8.1 million RestaurANTS in 103 Countries surveyed;
- Average of 78,313 RestaurANTS per Country;
- The Number of RestaurANTS within each Region ranged from 4,723 in the Caribbean to 698,040 in Northeast Asia; and
- The low-income Countries have approximately one RestaurANT unit per 618 People; the upper-middle income Group has one RestaurANT unit per 268 People. The average Number of Outlets across all Nations is one RestaurANT Unit per 477 Individuals.
Whether The EstablishmANT is a 5-Star Eatery, Fast Food Chain, Bistro, Brasserie, Outdoor CafĂ©, Diner, Dive, Deli, Drive-In, Hamburger Stand, Lunch Counter, Cafeteria, Sandwich Shop, Saloon, Hash House, ChopHouse, Pub or full-fledged cANTina & cANTeen, here is a shining Opportunity for you & your Loved ones to do good – to save our only Home. WORLD RESTAURANT DAY ©2010 is an Honorable & universally Cultural Means to ‘break Bread’ by honoring this humble & industrious Creature, THE ANT (who assumed Ecological Dominance (DominANTS in fluANT ANT-ese) 60,000,000 years ago) & to assure that Eating out never tasted so good, for a Cause – Life & Living Well – that is near and dear to every Creature.

Scriptapalooza’s Treasure Trove of Talent defies all Odds. "The Hotties of Hollywood" for 2010.
NOTE: As posted on Facebook: Commemorating the First Month Anniversary of Scriptapalooza's Announcement of 2010 Screenplay Winners:
Mark – Genevieve - Scriptapals:
A month ago today, Mark announced the Quarterfinalist Winners, giving 377 people (from around the world) a stepping stone into getting their writings read by industry professionals. I’ll never forget how I felt when I saw my title on that list. Beyond a Thrill! A red letter date. A dream-come-true. And, the suspense built all the more and became more thrilling as the last few weeks passed by, especially for the top 10 Winners (that I would guess) will not be sleeping for any period of time now – with the way Adrenalin works. However, not everyone was that lucky to have placed – some 367 of us did not and they (including myself are the ones I am most) concerned about.
FACT: Scriptapalooza is sitting on a Pile of Winners (of varying stages) and should become a Publishing Plant. If I were a literary agent, I definitely would cull their website page at:
http://scriptapalooza.com/Winners.html
and pick out the Titles that seem most interesting and send those writers a query requesting their log line, synopsis and/or basic literary query letter telling what the piece is all about.
Now, at this momentous point in fleeting time (before the next Scriptapalooza #13 winners are announced and we are still the HOTTIES OF HOLLYWOOD ®, what I intend to do with my Script (part of a 7-part Franchise) called:
iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010
is to unwrite & rewrite it as a book/novel. That way it has a better chance of being picked up by a literary agent and/or become a self-published book; whatever my little heart decides and whatever my wallet can afford (at the time). Enter: Sponsors & Bug Lovers alike.
But for this brief event – upon the First Month Anniversary of Mark’s Announcement (back on July 23, 2010), it’s important that WORK be done on those Scripts – all those from Quarterfinalist Status on up the line. That’s my gut feeling. There’s Talent (t)here to be reaped. And if any Smart Producer – Visionaries as they are – especially the ones who initially picked the Quarterfinalists saw this vast Potential, this is the ideal time to contact those Screenwriters and see what else can be done for them and to those Scripts.
It is also a ripe time for Reporters & Journalists at local, writer’s and industry magazines to pick up leads as these writers would make for ‘great food for fodder’ for a feature you may want to start and/or add to.
As a screenwriter myself, I find that I feel very comfortable with The Forces that be Scriptapalooza and according to my current Calendar see that there are only 38 more Days left till their International Television Writing Competition reaches its deadline of October 1.
MY PSYCHOLOGY BEING: Since it takes years for a movie to be produced, I feel that IF I rewrite parts of my Script into a TV Script, it will get another chance at being read by industry professionals and it will get ‘on air’ faster than waiting for a movie to be made. I’d guess it takes 2-4 years for a Movie to be produced. With 1000+ Channels on TV, there’s an urgency for material.
With the stuff on TV already, Quality is not even an issue. That’s the way I see it. There’s more of a need at the Quantity level. Since 377 themes were picked as Quarterfinalists by Mark & his Team, it seems that perhaps 1/3 of the TV gap could be filled by the Scriptapalooza #12 for 2010 Screenplay Winners.
Do I make any sense?
Is this the logical way to go?
Your Thoughts would be appreciated. The Countdown is on: 38 more Days till the TV Competition is here…and I don’t want to waste a moment! You know how fleeting time goes! We’re part of a Goldmine that just needs to be mined.
Thanks!
Cheers, ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith

"FINALIST FRIDAYS ©2010 - 52 X 52" - Screenwriter's Opportunity for additional Coverage.
Chicago, IL USA:
So what do 277 Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalists do who do not get any representation? “A good question,” you may agree. I have a thought and answer to this Query. Because I headed my own PRAM: Public Relations - Advertising - Marketing Group since 1979, I thought that a listing of their advancements throughout the year, from:
Friday, August 20, 2010 – Friday, August 19, 2011
may help (aid, abet & assist). Therefore, I am proposing that I ‘open’ my BLOG called: KOOPERSMITHin to a Friday Segment called:
"FINALIST FRIDAYS ©2010 - 52 X 52"
whereby the top 277 (including myself) Quarterfinalists from Scriptapalooza 2010 – this year’s competition gets a listing.
Included would be:
1) The Script’s Name
2) Screenwriter’s Name
3) Location: City, State/Province, Country
4) Email Address
5) Website or Blog Address
6) Facebook
7) Twitter Handle & Other Social Networks
8) A Synopsis
9) A Log Line (can be more than the standard)
10) Genre of Movie
11) Current Projects
12) Any Updates/News-Flashes
Each Posting would appear on a Friday so that they can send their news out and use this as ‘an alternative’- online plug.
“FINALIST FRIDAYS ©2010 - 52 X 52” would be alphabetical by Screenwriter’s Name for easy access. The 52 X 52 means Exposure would appear 52 times for the 52 weeks in the next year.
Since I have my BLOG out there in cyberspace ‘sitting there,’ it might as well be used for this Talent Pool who displayed the talent, but just may need the WRITE set of eyes to take them further along in their writing careers.
Any takers?

Guys Rule Scriptapalooza #12's Intl Screenwriting Competition. Promoting The Quarterfinalists for 2010 & Beyond...
Chicago, IL USA:
The following was posted on Scriptapalooza's popular Facebook Page after the Winners were announced:
What! No Women Winners! Isn’t that mighty sexist, Mark? All kidding aside - CONGRATULATIONS to Andrew, David & Brien, the latest winners of Scriptapalooza's Screenwriting Competition! Although I’m surprised and highly disappointed you did not have a Woman Winner. Wouldn’t that be more genderly correct in this day & age? How HAPPY U must all feel. U must be tingling and numb.
CUTTING TO THE CHASE: Having headed my own PRAM: Public Relations - Advertising - Marketing Biz since 1979 -- I'd like to give you (Andrew, David & Brien) a TWEET at:
twitter.com/ask_koopersmith
so once the adrenalin subsides (that will probably run for the next year) feel free to send your log line to me & I shall happily post it 4 you.
However, there were many great Scripts ‘out there’ and The Forces of Hollywood should not forget. Namely, these are The Quarterfinalists who did beat out 3141 others – from a pool of 3546 hopefuls. Now, being in a state of limbo, I took the liberty to post the remaining Quarterfinalists who did not go on to become Semifinalists at:
http://adriennesiouxkoopersmith.blogspot.com/2010/08/scriptapalooza-quarterfinalists-2010.html
with a note stating that IF you send your logline & appropriate contact info, I will then post that – as another way to get some well-needed attention since we are now on our own from this point on.
I also posted an in-depth question entitled:
Does a Quarterfinalist stand a chance in Hollywood? Inquiring Minds want to know.

You must sign in – but the page is:

if you wish to engage others in a conversation.
Hopefully, with their large data base (over 6100 followers/fans) someone will have some insight and openly share it – or better yet, take an active interest in the Strides the Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalists have made. After all, this is a milestone and can be used to further our writing careers.
As a Quarterfinalist, I’ve sent out quite a bit of plugs since July 23, 2010 when the Quarterfinalists were announced and have attained some interesting feedback to date. However, since promotions are a daily task, it’s important to keep that CANDLE burning and that is what I intend to do!
It’s time to thank Mark & Genevieve for holding this contest for us. It’s a great opportunity that can’t be compared.

Tom Warson on 'Pillars'...as discussed on Writers Store Facebook Pages: August 18, 2010
AFTER posting 4 very intensive and insightful comments on The Midas Formula: Want to write a megahit movie like "Harry Potter"? screenwriter,Tom Warson grabbed my attention so I asked him:
Tom, these are great insights - they should be on a blog tho or an article in Creative Screenwriting - so they can be read much easier than this 1000 charater only thang that (only) Facebook affords that breaks up WoW: Words of Wisdom as t...hese. All very fascinating commentaries. Say, aren't U the guy that wrote: Pillars?

TO WHICH HE ANSWERED BACK:
==========================
Tom Warson Yes, I wrote "Pillars of The Sea." It took me decades to do it, so I'm no example to follow.
Is "Ants" animated? You certainly picked a symbolically rich subject. Ants represent decay (Salvador Dali), as well as resurrection.
==========================
TO WHICH I RESPONDED:
==========================
Tom, it takes Time to perfect a script and experience to get it all honed down a certain way. There isn't anything I would not go back to RE-DO. When I was in my Tapestry Stage - circa 1974 to 1979, I actually had nitemares I put a stitch in wrong & could never get it out. Talk about being 'involved.' It's nice the story still resonates with you -- PILLARS OF THE SEA -- so that you'd finish it whether it was a week -- 2 yrs or somewhere longer down the line? I take it, it's in both Book & Script formats. That way U get MORE bang 4 UR buck when it's picked up?
As you had asked: Is "Ants" animated? You certainly picked a symbolically rich subject. Ants represent decay (Salvador Dali), as well as resurrection.
If it gets produced (ie: picked up by Steven Spielberg - Tim Burton and/or Disney/Pixar) it definitely would/could be (not BEE, but be) in this case. That is the way I envision it. The Topic of Ants actually picked me as I had 4 major ANT episodes in my house or my parents' home thruout the years. Plus, they are just so fascinating. To me they represent RACISM & how creatures sh/get along- as they come in all colors and sizes plus they are between 130,000,000 - 170,000,000 yrs. old outliving the almighty Dinosaur. I feel this is something man will never achieve, with the course life is taking us. I particularly think it is interesting that ants really leave no FOSSILS, yet an entire Army will wipe out an African Village. How can something so little be so powerful & long lasting? Their chambers underground can have as many as 400 rooms. Did U know that? I did research to understand them better. Now, I wonder how Ole' Sal Dali ever equated Ants to decay? What was he smoking? If we hold a seance - make that seANTS - do you think he'd tell us?

Scriptapalooza's Countdown: A Matter of Hours till Movie History's made...
Chicago, IL USA:
(as posted on Scriptapalooza's Facebook Account) for Wednesday, August 18,2010
Hey, Scriptapals: It is now officially and without a doubt less than 1 Day (24 hours) to go til the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Winners for 2010 – the TOP 10 will be announced! I can’t imagine what these Writers are feeling. Except, most of them are probably glued to their cell phone as I’d guess Mark will call the Top 3 – at least – to tell them of their Winning and plan for what happens next. Last week as you may recall, I took the liberty and picked my Top 10 from The 30 Finalists of which 2 placed. There might be a place for me in the Astrology Field or in Vegas.
Today, I’m doing the same – based on the Strength of the Title alone. After all, when you go into a Bookstore or Library, it’s the Cover and Title that grabs you first; then U pick the Book up – check it out – buy it and decide if it lives up to its Name.
In alfa order, those are:
1) Come in from the Cold War by Bob Garden
2) Dead Fish in Still Water by Paul Martel
3) Dreamweavers by Kyrai Antares & Kevin Thompson
4) Garincha by Michael Ennis
5) Ichabod’s Revenge by Stuart Crafton
6) Knock 3 Times by Jeff Goldstein
7) My Mom’s Big Fat Lesbian Wedding by Michael Cramer
8) Second Born by David Jagernauth
9) Staff Development by Jon Bernstein
10) The Day The Daniels Left by Lydia Fantozzi
Now for my Top 3 calls are:
Come in from the Cold War by Bob Garden
Ichabod’s Revenge by Stuart Crafton
My Mom’s Big Fat Lesbian Wedding by Michael Cramer
But no matter how you placed, we all now have a Script that can be reworked and marketed thanks to the Workings of Scriptapalooza. After all, it’s the STORY that counts.

Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalists 2010. Literary Excellence seeks Representation.
Chicago, IL USA: Aw, come on Guys, it’s not that bad. But then, it just depends on if you find the glass to be half empty or half full. Winning the First Leg of Scriptapalooza’s International Screenplay Quarterfinalist Division for 2010 was a glowing accomplishment, beating out some 3141 others and placing in the top 10% – being one of 377 that made 'The Cut.’ This Cut may symbolize the Culmination of years of experience or merely a spontaneous Try at writing a Screenplay. However, we are now on our own – as there won’t be any Hollywood Promo Machines behind us, steering us to the top of the box office heap. I view this not so much as a Dilemma but as a Core Group of Writers who are sheer Talent that Producers, Managers, Literary Agents, Entertainment Attorneys and/or any other ‘Movers & Shakers’ should further closely examine for a Great Story Line as there are some mighty swell Scripts & Plots here deserve to be 'broken into The Big Time.
Therefore, with this healthier outlook in mind than to leave them on an inactive or dead list unattended to, I now invite the remaining Scriptapalooza QuarterFinalists who did not go on and place in the top 100 SemiFinalists to fill in the blanks.

Chatter between Mayoff & Koopersmith: The Ides of August: Log Line Dementia
FACEBOOK: August 15, 2010 - From 2 Aspiring Film Screen Writers:
STEVEN MAYOFF & ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH
COMMENTARY BY STEVEN MAYOFF
Distill My Beating Heart
By far the greatest challenge for writers is to describe a larger work such as a novel or feature-length screenplay in a synopsis. As anyone in the publishing world or film industry will tell you, it is an art form unto itself and takes almost as much work... as the thing it is describing. I have just uploaded my screenplay for Fatted Calf Blues on the Inktip web site where, for $60 (USD), it will sit for six months in hopes of attracting a producer or agent or manager. But before I could upload the script, I had to come up with a log line, one or two sentences that encapsulate the story in such a way as to make the prospective producer want to read the - Outline! That has to be no more than a page and must tell the story in more detail, but not so much as to confuse them, because the outline will become the essence of their "pitch" to backers.First off, I have to give props to my new pal, Patti Larsen, first for steering me toward Inktip and for giving me some valuable help on my l...

ASK's Comment: Steven: Rather than a synopsis, Steven, try to chop your wonderful words down into a LogLine! I think I rather go thru root canal and childbirth both before I undergo that procedure. U can do it tho. That's why they made the delete key so convenient. Just keep a copy of the Original hidden somewhere back on your flash...so when the NY Times comes a courting & a'calling to interview U, U can 'schmaltz' it all on. Yup, that's what I do...

I have been diligently working on this 7-Part Movie Franchise since January, 2009 cultivated from Decades of Inspirations, Observations & Revelations. Surprisingly enough, it took me only 2 Months to write this particular Script that was selected. 377 QuarterFinalists were culled from 3541 total Submissions from across the Planet, representing all Sectors of Society & Genres of Prototypes, an Honor indeed. Mathematically, that Figure alone represents:
10.64570996893553%
of the total Entries reviewed. Winning a Contest of this nature is sure to make Movie-Making History and set some Writers’ Careers into High Gear, rating as a ‘Dream come true.’ In my particular case, this Journey all began with me finding GORF (that’s FROG back-words), a Plush TOY with a wide 11” Grin & 24” tall @ Walgreens in January of 2005. Realizing his Look alone could make the saddest Person smile and forget their Pain, Woes and impending Circumstances, I soon realized THE FROG (with his ample Amounts of Mass Appeal) would ‘break the Ice’ between People as I embarked on a GREEN CAMPAIGN designating GORF as:
‘Chicago’s First Green Mascot & The Icon of The Green Movement’
and nicknaming him ‘The Grin Reaper ®’.
What was surprising was that I did not even know what a Movie Script looked like prior to Saturday, August 8, 2009. My belief is that there are many untapped Talents we all possess that just take their time to surface. Motivated by a Friend who complimented my Writing Style, I then taught myself Screenwriting per various Library Books. I wrote non-stop from August 8, 2009 through April 6, 2010 using GORF & 9 other TOYS as THE CHARACTOYS®, all found in my TOY BOX. This Chapter in my Story is still unfolding and grows (more exciting) every Day.
The relevant Topics shared by SKiN (totaling 7 Books & 7 Movies) & iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 are primarily based around the universal Concepts of:
- Eliminating Racism;
- Dispelling Mixed Signals & Ironies; &
- Getting to The Heart of ‘What Matters’
REQUEST: I am currently seeking a Literary Professional (with clout, drive, charisma and business savvy) as yourself to walk my Script, iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 into Steven Spielberg’s, Tim Burton’s and/or John Lasseter (Disney/Pixar) Studios.
STATUS OF PROJECT: Combined with THE CHARACTOYS® high marketability and 3 universal Concepts it represents, I am now UN-writing the ‘Script’ back into Book Format. That assignment should be completed by mid-September.
Additionally, heading my own PRAM: Public Relations – Advertising – Marketing Co. (since 9179), I am in contact with scores of journalists (at newspapers – magazines – and online publications) who can follow-up and report on this Process, using it as a Feature focusing on its creative evolution as it deals with Human Nature, something we all have.
TELLING IT HOW IT IS: The Characters (as GORF pictured below) will speak for themselves. Racism is the hottest Topic today. The Rest of the Franchise (which consists of 6 more Sequels) is for Movie-Making and Social History Records.
Also feel free to forward this eMedia Release to anyone you know who ‘specializes’ in TOYS, one of the most popular genres to come out of Hollywood that captivates audiences.
MY CONCLUSION ABOUT RECEIVING THIS AWARD: “Writing does not stop at any One Technique. It is a Lifelong Process that grows and matures with us as The Craft evolves. For this reason, I highly encourage others to actively pursue their Creative Talents in many diverse ways that explore these Avenues and to allow themselves to see what’s just beyond the next Bend.”
Thank you for your time and expertise devoted to my query.
Sincerely,
ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith

And the Envelope, please. Scriptapalooza's Reel Winners w/b announced shortly. In the meantime...
Chicago, IL USA:
Scriptapals: This is almost The Day we have been waiting for! Less than a Day now – in less than 24 Hours, the Scriptapalooza Intl Screenplay Comp’s Top 10 Winners will be chosen. A once in a lifetime chance to MAKE IT BIG is going to unfold for merely a hand-ful – 10 fingers-worth of Artists. To commemorate this momentous time and just for the FUN of it, I decided to pick my TOP TEN FAVS. Heck, David (Letterman) has his List, so can Adrienne Sioux (Koopersmith).
My Criteria is not really as strict or industrial (strength) as the one’s Mark & Genevieve had chosen to make the(ir) FINAL SELECTION with. I merely went on IF I liked the Title. I had not read the Book that is suppose to accompany all good movies (so the marketing is in better place) nor do I know the Writers or was I influenced by the fact that they may be cosmopolitan, rich or influential. Region and no Reasoning were in my Choice-Deduction (either). There was just something cool-hip & trendy about these particular Titles that grabbed me. Therefore, sound the Drums. I personally liked:
‘Dead Fish in Still Water’ by Paul Martel
‘Garbology’ by Donnie Dale
‘I’ll Trade You’ by Deana Feldman
‘Ichabod’s Revenge’ by Stuart Crafton
‘Ruled Accidental’ by June Escalante
‘Seen & Not Seen’ by Robert Bowden
‘What I did on my Last Day Alive’ by Chris Keenan
‘Soft Shoe Finale’ by D. Lieberman & Aimee Lamb
‘Recovering Catholic’ by Chris Smith
And, of course, we would be mad if we did not include:
S.C. Boyd’s ‘Maybe Next Year’
as that really sums up The Sentiments of all other Contestants - all 3531 - they magnificently beat out.
Yes, this is posted on my Blog, Koopersmithin’ along with The Reel Winners, whomever you are – just to see if premonitions and guessing really ‘hold water.’
Cheers,

Hey, KENT: I merely picked my favorite Titles from a marketing/advertorial point of view and not have a Judeo-Christian viewopint. In this instance -- IF U know anyone in the AA program -- stop drinking for a day (or whatever your choice of stimulation is) - then continue that path - a healthier way of life a week/month, year and longer & then you are 'sober', it's their way of getting back on track & making amends to the people - (family/friends/associates) that they have hurt. Living in Chicago there are all sorts of people at varying levels of Recovery -- and many more that should be that aren't -- therefore take a look at our growing crime stats, and many do consider themselves 'Recovering ___' no matter what religion or nationality they are. Unfortunately, Recovering Catholic did not make the Finals but if I can locate Chris Smith, the writer, I definitley will ask him about its contents. I would guess #1: he didn't write it to be vicious and/or #2 ge write it to make fun 'of good old time religion or #3: he wanted to point out certain things that troubled him or #4: he was trying to get a 'rise' out of a topic that surely would $ell tickets in Hollywood, since the bottom line is 'what sells.' One thing for sure - he did strike a chord and that's what most writers are seeking! Will let you know, Kent.

Koopersmith's iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 hits a Chord at famed Scriptapalooza's International Film Competition.
NEWS FLASH: August, 2010
Chicago, Illinois USA: My Spec Movie Script (1 of 3 penned to date) entitled:
iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010
recently placed in Scriptapalooza’s International Screenplay Competition: 2010 based in Hollywood, California, now in its 12TH year. The Winners are found at: http://scriptapalooza.com/Winners.html
Motivated by a Friend who complimented my Writing Style, I then taught myself Screenwriting per various Library BKS. I wrote non-stop from August 8, 2009 through April 6, 2010 using GORF & 9 other TOYS as THE CHARACTOYS®, all found in my TOY BOX. This Chapter in my Story is still unfolding and grows (more exciting!) every Day.
The relevant Topics shared by SKiN (totaling 7 BKS & 7 Movies) & iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 are primarily based around the universal Concepts of:
- Eliminating Racism;
- Dispelling Mixed Signals & Ironies; &
- Getting to The Heart of ‘What Matters’
MY CONCLUSION ABOUT RECEIVING THIS AWARD: “Writing does not stop at any ne Technique. It is a Lifelong Process that grows and matures with us as The Craft evolves. For this reason, I highly encourage others to actively pursue their Creative Talents in many diverse ways that explore these Avenues and to allow themselves to see what’s just beyond the next Bend.”

ASK/Chicago: Breaking Barriers via Scriptapalooza
Chicago, IL: As posted on Scriptapalooza's FaceBook Account & this Blog, Koopersmithin' in order to give the top 90% of these winners (yet) another Break that they most certainly need at this critical time in their Writing Career.
Posted: Sunday, August 8, 2010 - 1:30 PM
Hey, Scriptapals:
Quarterfinalists (off 377 of us) are not ScriptapaLOOZERS! All we need is a Promotional ‘Break’ that Mark, Genevieve and their Reviewers initially gave us by signifying that we are indeed and without a doubt in the top 10.646 percentile of those 3,541 that entered this year’s competition. Therefore, in honor of my 1 & only 58TH Birthday (all day long on Monday, August 9, 2010), I’m offering for FREE my culled and cultivated 438 Snail & Email Name List of the top and most prestigious US Literary Agents from 12AM – 12 PM (as The Day - #221 of 2010 makes its way ‘around & across the World’) to Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalists of 2010.
These Professionals may be able to move your Script to the ‘next level’ since your Script placed in the elite category of 10.646% of this well-known; beloved and respected International Competition last month via the efforts of Mark & Genevieve and their select Producers, Literary Agents, Managers, et.al. But hurry Scriptapals: This generous Act(ion) happens only once every 58 years. If you choose to use this List, please type your response in as: CODE: 8910. To reiterate: This offer is good only through Monday, August 9, 2010 till Midnight commemorating the Celebration of my Birth 58 years ago. Happy Birthday to me! Let’s make something else happen!

TOM WARSON, Screen & Scriptwriter: Expose on Pillars of The Sea ©2010
As Scriptapalooza's International Screenplay Competition draws to a close for this year's finale, masses of Scripts are now being marketed to those industry professionals who can turn those titles a 'household name.' Having met via email some of the terrific "Body of People" Mark Andrushko & Genevieve Cybor of Scriptapalooza helped expose, the following is one title, I myself would: 1) go see as a movie & 2) read as a book. The Author/Screenwriter for that selection is:
MR. TOM WARSON
Location: France
Contact info: tom.warson@free.fr
Logline for "Pillars of The Sea"©2010:
A prodigiously-talented Mexican worker discovers that the road to becoming a successful artist and rescuing his family from poverty is paved with double and triple-bottomed boxes. One has a demon with the power to steal the sun away.
Tagline: There is more beyond.
NOTE: More Info, Data/Insights will be posted regularyly on Mr. Warson's Screenwriting Endeavors on (t)his legendary classic.

Scriptapalooza’s International Screenplay Quarterfinalists for 2010 highlight the Key Writers of Tomorrow…
DateLine: Monday, August 2, 2010 - 1:21 PM CST
Attn:
Chicago, IL USA:
Recognition takes many forms, but on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:30 AM CST for 377 hopeful Screenwriters from across the Planet, it came as a Listing found on the website of Mark Andrushko’s: Scriptapalooza.com. Twelve (12) years ago, Mark began Scriptapalooza’s Competition in order that writers get recognized by Movie Industrialists – a refined Market that is extremely hard to break into as we all know. This insightful and thoughtfully executed Competition has turned out – and has given well-earned exposure to over 1000 struggling artists/writers who needed that ‘Break’ over the years, growing every year in remarkable ways.
Knowing what Hollywood now wants or needs, over 90 producers, managers and agents read these scripts and made their Decisions. The Winners and their Titles of this year’s Competition that they selected are all listed at:
http://scriptapalooza.com/Winners.html
On that fate-filled day, it was with great surprise I found that my Spec Script entitled:
iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010
(derived from a 7-part Franchise entitled):
SKiN: SACRED KINSHIP iN NATURE ™
HOW 10 BELOVED PLUSH TOYS REDEFINE RACE ©2009
placed in the Quarterfinalist Category from a total of 3541 submissions that had poured in from across the planet.
It is with great enthusiasm that I commend all the other writers on this honor – as we all have a Story to tell. On Friday, August 6, 2010, Mark will be announcing the Semi-Finalists. The Top Ten Winners will be announced in Mid-August. What Mark symbolizes to us all is that One Person who believes in us and wants to see us succeed. Now, there’s a Story in and of itself (t)here – one that you may wish to cover for your publication.
On behalf of all Scriptapaloozan Entrants (from its early days in 1998 to today), thank you for listening to my suggestion.
Sincerely,
ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith
