Tom, these are great insights - they should be on a blog tho or an article in Creative Screenwriting - so they can be read much easier than this 1000 charater only thang that (only) Facebook affords that breaks up WoW: Words of Wisdom as t...hese. All very fascinating commentaries. Say, aren't U the guy that wrote: Pillars?

Tom Warson Yes, I wrote "Pillars of The Sea." It took me decades to do it, so I'm no example to follow.

Is "Ants" animated? You certainly picked a symbolically rich subject. Ants represent decay (Salvador Dali), as well as resurrection.

Tom, it takes Time to perfect a script and experience to get it all honed down a certain way. There isn't anything I would not go back to RE-DO. When I was in my Tapestry Stage - circa 1974 to 1979, I actually had nitemares I put a stitch in wrong & could never get it out. Talk about being 'involved.' It's nice the story still resonates with you -- PILLARS OF THE SEA -- so that you'd finish it whether it was a week -- 2 yrs or somewhere longer down the line? I take it, it's in both Book & Script formats. That way U get MORE bang 4 UR buck when it's picked up?

If it gets produced (ie: picked up by Steven Spielberg - Tim Burton and/or Disney/Pixar) it definitely would/could be (not BEE, but be) in this case. That is the way I envision it. The Topic of Ants actually picked me as I had 4 major ANT episodes in my house or my parents' home thruout the years. Plus, they are just so fascinating. To me they represent RACISM & how creatures sh/get along- as they come in all colors and sizes plus they are between 130,000,000 - 170,000,000 yrs. old outliving the almighty Dinosaur. I feel this is something man will never achieve, with the course life is taking us. I particularly think it is interesting that ants really leave no FOSSILS, yet an entire Army will wipe out an African Village. How can something so little be so powerful & long lasting? Their chambers underground can have as many as 400 rooms. Did U know that? I did research to understand them better. Now, I wonder how Ole' Sal Dali ever equated Ants to decay? What was he smoking? If we hold a seance - make that seANTS - do you think he'd tell us?
