Studs Terkel's 100TH Birthday on May 16, 2012 & U R Invited!

ASK’s LITERARY RECO: STUDS @100 – Wouldn’t he be proud & happy! News just in from the Founder of the CHICAGO LITERARY HALL OF FAME, Chicago’s Very Own & Author in his ‘own Write,’ Donald G. Evans who reports ‘The Group’ is holding a Birthday Party in honor of one of our very own: Studs Terkel! Studs Terkel 100th Birthday Party Wednesday, May 16 at 5:30pm at Newberry Library This is a FREE event, co-sponsored by our own Chicago Literary Hall of Fame. Beer, music, theater & a wealth of literary stars are included in this FREE Event. You can’t do any better than that! If you loved Studs, he’s one of the Personalities that shaped our Town. Let’s show the MAN some RESPECT and attend. You’ll be happy you did as this is a great Networking Event as well and promises to “be a fun night” as Donald states. Come celebrate the centennial of STUDS TERKEL on his actual BIRTHDAY! FREE AND OPEN TO ALL! Personally, I think it would be nice if our Mayor Rahm Emanuel would proclaim this as STUDS TERKEL Day in Chicago. Personally, I think it would be fun to get dressed up in the garb they wore 100 years ago. And can you imagine this was decades before The PC – white out and probably even mimeo paper!
