After Mellody Hobson, President of Ariel Investments (one of Chicago’s top 100 Movers & Shakers according to Chicago Magazine’s March 2013 issue)  said I was ‘quite the Creative Genius’ on March 14TH after supplying and introducing her to an array of my Movie Script/Characters, Photos , etc., I found that 1 of my HOLIDATES (what I am known and noted for):

went viral earlier this week (on Tuesday, June 18TH) in a most magnificently spectacular way here on Twitter.  And, the posts are still coming in. This is pleasant.

So now that they (former Strangers who are now on-to-me and know my M.O.) know a few things about my Passion to invent these HOLIDATES that evidently HAVE UNIVERSAL & YOU-niversal APPEAL,   NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY’s 20TH Anniversary  (which takes place next year, falling on Wednesday, June 18) is seriously undergoing an  Explosive Expansion. I have 20 years of Archival Documentation penned on the Topic (alone), one I find of utmost interest, especially so as a former Sociology Major at a major Top 10 University.  Splurging’ (as a Cultural Phenomenon) has changed significantly since my College Graduation in 1974 in an assortment of manners.  But has ‘THE URGE TO SPLURGE’ been for ‘The Better or for The Worse?’   Since NSD has struck a Chord and Nerve with Folks via its Twitter Viral Debut on June 18TH, it undoubtedly can now be labelized as:

INTERNATIONAL SPLURGE DAY ©2013 – if not INTERNATIONAL SPLURGE MONTH ©2013.

This Renaming and more is all on the Drawing Board as Strategies & Plans are carefully being laid into place for this Brand as well as my Eventological Brand of Calendarizing every Day of the Year that I began on Wednesday, July 25, 1990 at 9:45 PM.  All will be presented here on this Blog, KOOPERSMITHin’ on a weekly Basis for Publishers’, Editors’, Writers’, Journalists’, Readers’ & Splurgers’-at-large discussions.

Being excited at the News about its Twitter Viral Debut, I did skim the top Names here that tweeted NSD’s essence, arriving at:

MY PLANS OF ACTION:  Within the next three (3) months, I will be approaching a vast array of Companies (although several have already contacted me) telling them of the vast Opportunities that lie ahead within the next year once I am hired as their  Spokesperson(ality) – the Creator of this fabulous money-making HOLIDATE - a one of its kind EVENT that is part of my 1,900+ HOLIDATE Collection (that falls in 34 precise categories),  being deemed and labeled as:

‘America’s Premier Eventologist’ by Gene Koprowski of Insight Magazine (August, 1997)

and then as:

‘The Premier Eventologist of the History of the World’

by Eric Zorn of The Chicago Tribune in Jan of 2001.
