NationalSplurgeDay’s #TheDailySplurge
#114 for Monday, October 13, 2014 is dedicated to the EXPLORERS amongst us as Today
marks Columbus Day (that became a Statutory Holiday in 1907) in
many Regions of the USA. That means that (for the most Part) Citizens of Today
would not be here, if it wasn’t for Columbus’
heroic Exploits and Adventures, taking to the High Sea and going where no other
Human has gone before in order that billions of People (throughout the
Centuries since he set sail in 1492) could
begin traveling and migrating. Upon deep
and ponderous Introspection, this Event is how the Industry of Ship Travel
began. The Spirit of SPLURGE is
spotlighted here as We thoughtfully examine the severe Differences of what was
SPLURGED upon 522 Years ago compared to The Toys - Trinkets - Treasures that We have at our Fingertips
today.
Definitely Items that are no longer with us as Inventions have improved
our Standards of Living and Splurging.
You must admit that taking off in 3 Wooden Ships on the High Seas (before
Navigation became known for what it is today: IE: much safer), is surely the Sign of a Type A
Personality who did not take NO for an Answer.
Christopher Columbus, A Man’s Man, and indeed one of the top Heroes that
has ever emerged would adore what he kick-started that later would grow into
tying the World together so that We can all enjoy the Benefits of what a Good
Splurge does.
