National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #256 for Wednesday, March 4, 2015 marks the 19TH Year Anniversary of one of my TOP HOLIDATES:
HUG A G.I. DAY ©1996
In the Face of Adversity, the Military is there – the Armed Forces - the brave Men & Women who make our World safer. No time has ever been more violent or terror-filled than the Period after September 11, 2001. And, in lieu of the Crisis of Isis, this HOLDIATE’s Yearly Salutation goes towards:
The IDF: Israel Defense Forces
who are dedicated to fight the hard fight, the best – with all their might.
As inspired by the Speech that Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu presented to the US Congress on March 3, 2015.

With all that Opportunity to do, turn on your Humanitarian Juices and buy up 5, 10, 15, 20 or more TOYS to be given to a worthy program. Plenty of them are out there, needing your generosity.
Tell them, also, that they, too can become MEMBERS of CLUB: SPLURGE as 2014-2024 is the DECADE OF THE SPLURGE ©2015. An excellent opportunity that I developed back in 1994 when I created NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY ©1994 for all of you who have brands and products to promote. Contact me at:

TOYS-day
National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #258 for Friday, March 6, 2015 comes from a phrase I spotted on the L-train going on a Splurge-a-thon in which I picked up 3 collectible Toys, stunning antique glass wear and some new fresh spanking white terrycloth towels that I happen to find very refreshing. That saying was: If you see something say something; meaning we must all watch out for each other and if something doesn’t look right, report it. Therefore for NATIONAL SPLURGE DAYS – and the YOTS: Year Of The Splurges, if you see something, buy something. That keeps our economy going and a shopkeeper able to keep his doors open and a ham hock on his Sunday plate.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #259 for Saturday, March 7, 2015 is devoted to a Day outside. Spring is in the air here in Chicago and that makes Splurging of any variety much more enjoyable. Whether you prefer to splurge at the mall; at the gym; at your favorite pub or bookstore, make it a day well worth remembering. When the URGE TO SPLURGE happens and the Weather cooperates, nothing beats that!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #260 for Sunday, March 8, 2015 can be devoted to those who get into the Phenom of MARCH MADNESS. For many of us in the northern climates, we are just happy to splurge when the weather breaks, which is what we at SPLULRGE CENTRAL are doing. After all, it’s much more fun to go out and hunt down a SPLURGE when the URGE strikes in 40 degree weather opposed to when it’s -40 below. Get on your mark, get ready: GO ON & SPLURGE.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #262 for Tuesday, March 10, 2015 is the day when many Splurgers begin picking up their game. Officially, TOYSday, it’s designed for those who love TOYS (from plush animals to high tech apps) to buy TOYS that they truly enjoy. Toys can be and is a generic word and putting a SPIN:
SPLURGE attached to it is what I’ve been doing since a gal GROWING UP KOOPERSMITH starting in 1952…downstate in Illinois, in the Heartland, as that region is called.
However, to heighten the HOLIDATE of National Splurge Day ©1994, now approaching its 21ST Anniversary – Birthday – Celebration in June, the GIVEN GO SIGN is to splurge in quantities of TEN because it is the 10TH of the Month. Whatever that splurge may be…increase it to Increments of TEN & then feel free to share those with others less fortunate.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #264 for Thursday, March 12, 2015 is yet another one of those Number Games. With St. Patrick’s Day edging ever closer, it’s time to plan for the BIG PARADE happening in cities around the world. Here in Chicago, we paint – or dye the Chicago River Green. Now is a grand green day in which to go to the local DOLLAR STORE & splurge on all the fun, frolicking Green Hats – Masks, etc. that we can wear to those Parades. Buy them in groups of 12s as you never know who’s standing next to you. That person just may be a Leprechaun with a Pot of Gold. If so, then you’ll really be able to splurge – till the Cows of Old Dublin come home!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #265 for Friday, March 13, 2015 is the 2nd Friday the 13TH in a row meaning it’s a doubling up of 13 items you can and should splurge on. It’s also the Countdown to the last 100 DAILY SPLURGES till NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY rolls in again. Countdowns are exciting and this one surely will not disappoint. After all, do you really know anyone who is disappointed when splurging? Only if they spend too much; but hey, you can take your Fortune with you.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #266 for Saturday, March 14, 2015 - numerically deciphered as 3-14-15 - being:

Therefore, in order to properly celebrate this as a National Spurge Day Holidate incision, as the next Pi Day will not be occurring anytime too soon, go out and enjoy some PIE – it’s the closest you can get to that kind of a SPLURGE today. You can always run it off, if your PIE of Choice is Pizza and not light on the Cheese as it should not be!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #271 for Thursday, March 19, 2015 is the last Day of Winter. No more need to splurge on winter clothes; shovels or 3 sets of mittens. Now is clearly the time to focus on figuring out what kinds of flowers to plant; kites to fly and shorts to wear. Of course, the calendar can say one thing and the Weather can do something else. That’s why so many people splurge and move to warmer climates where Spring and Summer are a constant. Maybe that’s an avenue more of us Splurgers should reconsider.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #274 for Sunday, March 22, 2015 marks the First Month of my rewriting of BIRD STORY that was initially created and penned in October of 1998. Now with BIRDMAN winning the Oscar – the Academy Award in a slew of Categories – it is time to take action and rewrite – update that Piece for the last 17 years. And, my has it increased in coverage – going from 108 Bird Terms to the instigation of 80 Bird Platforms that are conversations that need to be addressed. After all, horrific things have happened here on our Planet Earth that were non-existent in the late 1900s that have not proved to be beneficial to birds and Humans. Therefore, for today, SPLURGE on things that “take Flight” and soar as the Bird does.

After all, there are toys for every age group. There are toys for boys. There are toys for girls. There are toys for men. There are toys for women. There are toys for those caught between whatever they are caught between. That’s a given. Needless to say, we could trace the first TOY back to the ball; which was a stone to the CAVE PERSON(ality) during that time and the First Person to pick up a branch that later became the BAT. Sammy Sosa and a host of other Baseball Greats are glad they did that. Needless to say: This is the DAY to feed that Obsession with TOYS and buy a few. Buy more than usual to give to those who are needy. TOYS fill a void and NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY is here to do just that PLUS more.

SPLURGE ON EGGS. I’m thinking Faberge
Eggs that are so wonderously beautiful and something that dazzles throughout

http://www.pbs.org/treasuresoftheworld/faberge/flevel_2/flevel2_after_cost.html
states:
The Winter Egg
brought "big money" in modern times as well. In 1949, it was sold for
a mere $4,760; but in 1994, it was acquired anonymously at public auction by an
American businessman for the record price of $5.5 million dollars.
And if you like

Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #298 for Wednesday, April 15, 2015 is the most taxing
part of the year for We Americans. But
it’s getting closer to National Splurge Day ©1994 - #21 in which this Date was
most eventful. Start to make that list
of what YOU will splurge on. Where you will splurge and if others will be
involved in those Splurge Decisions. My
list of Top 10 Splurges will be released on NSD’s 21ST Year in the
Making…

National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #304 for Tuesday, April 21, 2015 signifies that we have already torn through 1 month of the Season of Spring. Where I live, it doesn't feel like Spring at all; and few of us have trunked away our winter clothes yet. Which is good for those of us who are still buying winter gear -- the prices are super cheap and it is high time to splurge and eventually sock and stuff those things away. If the climate is do-able where you reside, do something FUN. It's TOYS-day for us also, meaning it's time to SPLURGE on your ToC: Toy of Choice.
National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #305 for Wednesday, April 22, 2015 marks the 45th year of Earth Day & of course, we've developed our very own STYLE of Splurging for Earth Day which is a 24/7 Holidate at SPLURGE CENTRAL. Not only that for those of you into Nature, Nature is the topic of the day -- for Earth Day 45 times over that which you would ordinarily do. Hop on to it, it's later than you think.

National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #306 for Thursday, April 23, 2015 keeps in stride with splurging on Toys for Toysday and/or being curious in the sense that it's time to splurge on some good books that will often be touted on national TV programs. Such is the case with the Book called: Gift of Crows that is not only educational but teaches us lessons about Nature and Crows that most of us did not know about. Splurging need not always be about spending money but splurging on learning more, which affects the curiosity in all of us.

National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #307 for Friday, April 24, 2015 is a blast from the Past with an update. Friday is also known as FOSSIL FRIDAYS for those who are into prehistory and creatures with a past. Combine that with my latest PROJECT; Bird Story whose full length title is: THE BIRD WHO DIDN'T LEARN HOW TO FLY created originally in 1998 and then you have a SPLURGE of going out to find more about Birds and how they faired during those earlier times when nesting and guns and birdcrumbs were much different than they are now. Education + Splurging does make for great bedmates.

National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #311 for Tuesday, April 28, 2015 is for Toy Collectors as myself who feel that EVERY DAY should be a TOYS-Day, as Tuesday is now officially pronounced and announced as. Not only can you BUY toys today, but spread those sentiments with others on Twitter who also enjoy the Adaptability that TOYS have no matter what age you may be.

National Splurge Day's The Daily Splurge #312 for Wednesday, April 29, 2015 signals a day that is set aside for taking inventory on the Splurges you've already made for this time of year; even down to the very month. Once that tally is made and carefully sifted through; find more things that you wish to splurge on for May, the next month coming up on the horizon. That way, you won't repeat anything, but will keep Splurging crisp and sound as we approach the 21ST Year of NSD: National Splurge Day, now in the Mists of The Decade of Splurge.

#302 for Sunday, April 19, 2015 is a time to splurge with GOOD FRIENDS. Drop on over or by someone you’ve not seen
for awhile – with a Gift – it need not be big in which you splurged on
them. Make a day of it! And record those findings. Definitely a story in every minute that you
are together. The friends who splurge
together, stay together.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge
#303 for Monday, April 20, 2015 is one of the ROBUST SPLURGE times that we all
like to participate in. Mondays are
known for their Sales. Decide what you
need and then spend a few hours gathering up those Acquisitions. Here at SPLURGE CENTRAL, we are getting ready
to plant THE FARM so we are off to a few Floral Gardens in which to get our
Flora. From that point on, the Sky is
the limit. Splurging on your
Surroundings is equally as important as splurging on yourself and others.
