August 9 is on The Horizon: 65 Days Before 65: The ASKian Countdown begins today: Monday, June 5, 2017.

HARK!  HARK!

It's Revelation Time in Chicagoland.

With August 9th, my 65TH Birthday on the Horizon, there's lots to plan for.  Especially as to what I plan to do and accomplish for my next Set of 65 Years. Oh, I can hear the snickers now.  However, being the Creator of

2000 Days Before 2000

that began on July 11, 1994, that Holidate (part of my Eventological Empire of 1900+ Holidates falling into 34 precise Categories) is a Formula that sets YOUR Life into a Semblance of Order.

FYI, because of 2000 Days Before 2000, I was known as one of the top 125 in the entire World who were making and instituting PRE-PLANS for the Coming of the New Millennium & Century.

Every Day from Monday, June 5, 2017, I'll keep an active Diary here as to what happens to me, my Cat Cali, Family & Friends as We PURRceive the Good Old Days and the Times ahead. Won't you join us, as it's bound to be as suPURRb as it was for the first 7.5 Decades or so We are prone (PURRone) to believe.

When and if you are lucky enough to be BORN a Cat - A Leo - with an ABC: Annual Birthday Celebration in August, you are prone to think  in austerely creative Ways that make this Blog one of the best ones to read and be inspired by.

August 9, 2017 - 4:45 AM CST:  I turn 65.
Reflections on and about Life in the 20th & 21st Centuries

Monday, June 5, 2017:  Monday: Catdom spotlights on the Needs of the Pet you are her Human (to).  Therefore, it's a Blessing to spend time with her.  Animals (as Cats & Dogs) have been domestic-CAT-ed.  They did not ask to be.  Therefore, We owe Animals a much better life than many of them are forced to have. MY RECO:  Treat them as you do Family; as there is nothing like a soft Purr to soothe an anxious Time(s). Cali, my Calico is Precious (purrecious) Cat and you'll be hearing a lot about her in the next 65 Day Period (purriod) ahead.  She's a guaranteed ShowStopper.

Tuesday, June 6, 2017:  Keeping with the Theme of CATS  as purrtrayed in the above Opening today: June 6 is the 55TH Year of the Day that Tha Hin Koopersmith - that's kooPURRSmith - in pure Catese came into our Lives.  Our - as in my Family:  Mom/Dad/Joe/Lin.  The most beautiful Siamese Cat that ever graced the planet. It was the Beginning of the Summer & MOM felt her Children should learn some Responsibility. I got a Cat.  The Day before my Bro Joe got 2 Turtles that we named Sam & Ham.  Animals - Pets so enrich a Person's Life.  Now as I edge into my Senior Years, it's more important than ever before to have a PET that makes you WANT to get out of Bed in the Morning for, because no where else will you find that kind of Love.  Today, CALI-My-Calico fills my Days with JOY & she has taken on where THA HIN left off as the SpokesKitty of PAW: Pet Appreciation Week (C) that I founded for Thy as we called him, honoring CATS & 64 other Species from now through June 12. But as we all know:  PETS are to be loved and cared for all year round - not just on a designated Week or Holidate as this.

Wednesday, June 7, 2017:  Marking Days is what We all seem to do. However, a Date of Importance came up on my Radar this AM when I opened up my Facebook Account, telling me that as of Today, I have been a Member since 2007.  I had not realized it was that long.  A really nice Video was produced showing the Highlights of ME during that TimeSlot...one that only seemed like Yesterday, but Yesterday is gone.  Today, on my Eventological Calendar - or CALI-ndar as my Calico Cat CALi calls it, there's:

Day #2 of PAW: Pet Appreciation Week©1994 that is 23 years in The Making;

The 2nd WonderWomanWednesday(s)©2017 that honors Women who are wonderous and wonderful and even if they aren't they can become so;

The 11th  Day Countdown till  National Splurge Day # 23 that can also be used on PAW, only because it's fun to SPOIL our Pets that mean so much to us.

Thursday, June 8, 2017 - 12:41 PM CST:  Different Modes for Different Folks. You see it everywhere. Not only in your own Life as to how things can take a turn for the better or best; but in The Lives of your Friends & Co-Workers and even those who make it ONLINE and those who choose to take a Day off.  However, IF you take care of yourself, there's bound to be (2 B in Fluent Twitterese) Repercussions - rePURRcussions in Fluent Cat - that will benefit the Grand Scheme.  And at 64 and 10 Months minus 1 Day, The Grand Scheme gets grander with every Moment that is left - right - here and there.  Taking advantage of that is a necessity that goes beyond any hemming or hawing that you may have.

Friday, June 9, 2017 - 2:34 PM CST:  Thirty-Eight Years ago today, my Father died.  38 years ago there was no such thing as every Man - Woman & Child being in the Computer Age. It was at its Infancy.  And Today being IN IT means the difference between being a Dinosaur or NOT. With that thought in mind, I'm happy to say that my 88 year old Mother, a real Survivor on many Fronts went out and bought her First Apple Computer; having been weaned on a Typewriter; then moving to Web TV in the 1990s and then a Laptop and now: VOILA, completely ensconced in ATA:  All Things Apple.  More Seniors should be like Mom!  And, my COUNTDOWN TO 65 is in exactly 2 months when I turn 65.  But we'll take our Time getting there.  There's plenty to do in the meantime...

Saturday, June 10, 2017 – 11:08 AM CST: It doesn’t cost anything to lose yourself in The Street Fairs that dot the Streets of Big Cities in America during the Summer Time. They are ripe with entertainment – music – food – friends (new and old to be made) and an excitement that can only be had when out on the Street – a street that is usually consumed by traffic. Therefore, keeping that Thought in mind BLOG Entries as this can and must be abbreviated. Short.  To the Point in order that WOTS: Working On The Sabbaths is put to bed, for at least one Season’s Worth.

Sunday, June 11, 2017 – 3:01 PM CST:  Into everyone's Day a Street Fair must fall and there's no place better than the Streets of Chicago for that, especially so during the near Summer - End of Spring, one week before National Splurge Day (C)1994, one of my  most popular Holidates in which to click in and see what other Creatifs are doing.  Therefore, I'm there.  The Chicago Tribune's Yearly Event that caters to the Authors and Journalists amongst us.  Off to see Maud of the Chicago Sun-Times speak about her Family's Flight from Nigeria in the late 1960s and then other break-through Artists as Sharon Sultan Cutler of The Bandstand Diaries.  And, why not?  We should all be good to ourselves, for at least, one Weekend at the End of each Week.  No more kidding.  The Literature we read reflects where we came from and where we are off (to).  Ending Sentences with a  Preposition is not a good proposition, but Grammar gets in the way of Time Management if we don't have the time to google on the Weekends, when we should be out PLAYING our Hearts away...

Monday, June 12, 2017: So Monday came and went.  Being furiously busy, I actually was unable to post this Post til now:  10:52 AM on Tuesday.  Reflecting back on Monday, you can see why Mondays get a Bad Rap.  They should be made into Part of the Weekend so that People can rest and relax after a wild and crazy Friday Night, Saturday & Sunday Experience.  Not that this is going to happen anytime to soon, but for those retired, they know exactly what I'm writing about...

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 – 10:50 AM CST:   Sometimes Routines are meant to be broken. This is what is happening today regardless of if Jupiter aligns with Mars or not. When there's a Shift in the Weather, this can also make or break a Person's Day and since it's early enough to try to get Things back "on track," that's exactly what I plan to do and on doing.

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 –  2:32 PM CST:  What I especially like about the 14TH is that it my Holidate known as #Birdentine Times that addresses Birds derived from my Birdictionary that is still a Work-in-Progress and what I especially like about Wednesdays is that it is my Holidate known as #WonderWomanWednesdays where I pick my top Selectee - a Woman that I admire.  #1 was Morissa Schwartz;  #2 is Kamla of Palatial Publishing & #3 is Shannon - all incredible Women in their own Rights & Rites.

Thursday, June 15, 2017 –  12:13 PM CST:  Fur Purrsday today I must share something my Cat, Cali The Calico did last night while We were asleep. She crawled up on me (which she usually does) and I find this so comFURting and laid her head on the right side of my face & turned on her PURR Machine.  It was louder than a Boeing 757 on a runway.  Most times she will creep up on to my shoulder and put her left flank (leg) up to my ear so I can hear her PURR - from her Tummy area.  However, this was from her Vocal Chords - where the PURR is manufactured. It was the most incredible sound I ever heard.  She stayed there for a few minutes then jaunted off, filling me with more love FOR her than I had and she is always LOVED through and through.  Being the FURst time this ever happened to me as a Proud Pet Owner for over 64 years, I felt very blessed to have this ExPURRience a la CAT.

Friday, June 16, 2017:  Bright & early from 7-8 am I was able to speak to Douglas Criss, Digital trending  Journalist at CNN.  "I tell stories" is his Motto and since I have been creating HOLIDATES - over 1900 of them - that are quite similar to AESOP's Fables whose initials are embedded in my NAME, I was able to chat with him for an entire entertaining Hour. With National Splurge Day happening on Sunday, this is indeed an exciting weekend. Doug had heard my NPR Planet Money Interview of April 18 in which Cali, My Calico sneezed.  Amazing how THE NEWS travels both near and afar and even further than that!

Saturday, June 17, 2017 - 11:26 AM:  Moving on due to the fact that "Mommy Dearest" has decided to kick Cali & I from her Household where We have been living since my Building went CondoConversion on April 30.  There are no more livable places in Chicago; the State Government is closing HOMELESS Shelters, but with a CAT-in-Tow, the Situation worsens; however, I refuse to crate her and put her into a Kennel since We are kindred spirits. Cali is the CEO of my Heart.  Someone who owned her before I did declawed her so I am her Soul Protection.  This means The CAT & I will be homeless on the bad, nasty and angry Streets of Chicago by tonight - around 6PM CST.  For those who want to aid and assist me, call me at:

847-630-9201

and/or my friend of 14 years, Robert Hofstadter who is recuperating and mending at The Grove/Evanston, a physical therapy rehab center as he had 3 Lumbars in his lower back operated on 10 days ago.  He is in room #106.  Warning;  It is hard to get Reception there on his CellPhone (as it is considered a dead zone) but please keep on trying.

Bob's # is:  847-890-1489.
The Grove / Evanston:  847-316-3320 (ask for Robert Hofstadter in Room 106)

He'll get the message to me.  All Cali &  I need is a room with a Window or a Sublet Studio apartment as Cali likes to look out till July 1. It may be longer TILL Robert fully recovers, but he is making REMARKABLE Progress to date.  That would be most helpful.  My Life is like a roller coaster.  In April, an NPR reporter/radio talk show host flies from NYC to Chicago to interview me and I have no book/movie/project out or done.  In June, a  CNN journalist spends an hour chatting with me.  The next DAY, I'm homeless.  Something has got to give...

Sunday, June 18, 2017 - 4:25 PM CST:  It's the 23rd Round of my Holidate: NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY.  Woke up with my Cat & "Best Friend"; watched some CBS Sunday Morning and then was able to see over 3,000,000 Results as of this Holidate that included mainstream media cashing in on my Concepts that certainly place the POP INTO POPULAR CULTURE.  That's exactly what EVENTOLOGY is all about...one Day at a Time.

Monday, June 19, 2017 - 3:30 PM:  Another Month that seems to be escaping far faster than I want it to go.  Think of it this way:  In 2 more Days it will be the Start of Summer: 2017, the Summer that I turn 65 and others will also.  An influx of old age is striking many of us. If you want the facts, just google:  How many Americans turn 65 every Day? and you will find this Statistic:

10,000 Boomers Turning 65 Everyday

In some Aspects, History does not repeat itself.  Sadly, it doesn't or won't in this Case.

Tuesday, June 20, 2017 - 5:12-14 PM CST: Mewsday:  According to #The_Cat in my Life, #Cali_The_Calico.  Woke up late today; plan to stay up later.  Only one thing to say is:  Waking up is much better than not.  Putting a plan into action that will help other Authors besides myself not be eaten up and spit out by the BIG MACHINE that considers themselves unstoppable.  More Deets and Details on that once a few more Dots are tied together.  It's what's in my Makeup.  Making sure that those who are VOICELESS are not forgotten or left behind.

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 - 2:34 PM CST:  you cannot really argue with the Calendar. When it comes to this time of year:  The Transition of one Season to the next it's time for Rejoicement and that's a rare feeling.  Especially so since I was able to meet up with Robert for a Chat; take Cali on a walk and proceed with some important Writings that clears up how a major TV Station must be punished and held liable for Copyright Infringement.  Never a dull moment at hand; let's hope it stays that way...for the next 65 years...

Thursday, June 22, 2017 - 3:31 PM CST:  Follow-up is important and finding more and more companies - even in Saudi Arabia that are promoting National Splurge Day assures me I am on to something big, especially with the 30TH Anniversary of EVENTOLOGY coming up in 2020.  Prepare to be delighted...

Friday, June 23, 2017 - 3:38 PM CST:  So it appears to be getting really close to the First Full Weekend of the First Week of Summer for 2017, my last Summer of being 64 and only 1 for that matter.  Which brings me to another Campaign called:  #All_Lives_Matter that I placed on Mohamedou O Salahi Twitter account within the last Hour or so. U may remember Mo from the March 12,2017 CBS 60 Minutes Segment as he was detained at Gitmo for 14 years and wrote a Best Seller after teaching himself English & enduring some of the worst Torture ever done and performed by Man on to Man.  SO, if you think you are having a BAD DAY, consider what he went thru, then count UR Blessings...

I suggest everyone should follow him, as his Mentality and Love of Life is contagious:

Mohamedou O Salahi

Saturday, June 24, 2017 - 7:37 PM CST:  Tiz Time 4 a New HOLIDATE - an instant replay of one that I created back on Nov 13, 1994 @ 3:53 PM.  Called the International Internet Moment (C)1994, it only takes a second to take that LEAP OF FAITH that so many of fail to do.  Circumstances should not stand in our way...  And, 6 months from today, on Xmas Eve we may be better off than we are or once were...

Sunday, June 25, 2017 - 5:07 PM CST:  Nearly a Day has gone by in which the New Holidate:  The International Internet Moment (C)2017 has kicked in; allowing me to be ever the more productive.  Hail - Hail The Band's all here.  And, as Eugenia from The Armory told me on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 - at 9:20 AM -- on the First Day of Summer to paraphrase:  What Life takes you through...  Combine the 2 of those: Life & Internet Tribulations and you've certainly enough to write about...  Six Months from today is Xmas and hopefully, you'll find yourself in a much better place - if that's what you wish for. Say AMEN!
