New Biking Record for The Aged: 2700 Miles in 14 Months...

Chicago, IL USA:

I am proud to say, I have now reached 2700 Miles on my Bike today nearing the 7:45 AM Mark in Fleeting Time @ The El Stop of Granville Blvd.-- a Record for some People and definitely a record if you want to take into consideration my Age -- 56, going on 57 in a matter of 11 days. But that's what keeps me invigorated as as 'Fred' says makes me look like the leaner side of 35.

As the Founder of:

AFSEE: Advocates For Senior Equality & Enrichment (C)2002,

I oft-times enjoy talking about how Seniors and Senioritas do not have to be pigeon-holed into the OLD Slot. One of the ways to do this is via Bicycling - alone or with a group of cohorts.

While Biking a few days ago, I was parked by a woman bicyclist who had a horn that turned out to be a rubberized Buddha. It was the funniest character you could ever imagine and as she pulled away, I asked her if she 'dressed him' for Halloween. With his pudgy belly, you'd think he could exercise some of the flab off - but it definitely was a conversation piece. Not all cyclists adorn their bikes; or themselves for that matter. Some bikes are used for peddling; others for sport enthusiasts; some for transporational purposes only and others just for the sheer excitement and fun of letting loose.

No matter what your preferred Way of Transport it, hopefully (for the Environment's Sake) it is done on 2 wheels.

One the count of 3: Start Peddling ®.

KOOPERSMITH celebrates 19 Years as being 'America's Premier Eventologist' - July 25, 2009

CHICAGO, IL USA.

Incredible as it is, today, July 25, 2009 marks the 19TH Year that I originated, began and formulated the LITERARY GENRE known as:

Eventology
The Art of Event-Making
Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith's Campaigns for Humanity (C)1990

with the HOLIDATE known as:

CAVE MAN NEVER DAYS (R)(C)1990

that began as: "A 16-day period in which you get to look and cook, read and plead like a Cave Man. Why? Because there's a Little Neanderthal in all of us."

Nearly 2 years later after being viciously attacked in my lobby, I started CARTOONISTS AGAINST CRIME (C)91 that brought into the Eventological Recipe CRIME PREVENTION - HOW TO STAY SAVE Holidates.

Today there are 39 categories & 1900 Holidates to celebrate, something for everyone with whatever they like to do.

As for my Eventological Take on Life, Life is full of Events and how we act to them - or react -- can or cannot make our days seem all the better.

Chicago, IL USA: Now that it is well past the 4th of July, Autumn, Fall & Winter Fashions are coming out - and the ones to buy up -- snatch is the word -- are all those that are animal patterns - leopards, zebras, giraffe and whatever FAUX you look best in.

Also, it is advised to buy summer ware up for next year...

and while you are looking that good, Tonite's Party is a Potluck with Music, Appetizers and of course, only those wearing FAUX FUR will be allowed in.

Call it discrimination, but the ANIMALS call it 'Life.'

Biking The Summer Away...by ASK, Master Bicyclist

Chicago, IL: To inspire Biking Enthusiasts everywhere, my Record now stands at:

2600 Miles

since May 29, 2008, having just reached this mark on Sunday, July 19, 2009 while biking north on Lincoln Av. in Chicago, IL USA. If Lincoln biked no doubt, he would have cut through all that Traffic they had in the mid 1800s. But then again, that's another blogs worth!

Koopersmith reports on: Faux Fur Fridays #29...

Chicago, IL USA: As an unseasonable Trend, The Weather is cooling off here in the City and that almost automatically makes you think of your Winter Wardrobe, one that is replete in Faux Fur Coats, Sweaters, Dresses and so much attire it's hard to mention -- if not to wear it all. Furthermore, it's a classic case of going back to school and the (dreaded) thought that once July 4TH passes, the Summer is half over. With cooler weather setting in to Chicagoland for the weekend, Dressing takes on another Dimension -- one where you wish to be fashionable, but also warm.

If The Weather is too demanding on your wardrobe, you can always check out Malls, Movie Theatres and Restaurants where an escape is always a pleasant surprise. Furthermore, this weekend, world renown Pop Artist Peter Max will be in Cook County - namely

Wentworth Galleries in Woodfield Mall - Schaumburg, IL
Saturday, July 18, 2009 - 1-4 PM
Details can be gotten at: #847-995-1190

As a Trend-setter (and keeping to the theme presented above), Peter, as we all (should know) was the Main Artist for The Woodstock Music Fest that defined a Generation -- which will be celebrating its 40TH Anniversary shortly. Therefore, to instill Great Art in your Children -- or for your home and office, stop in to see Peter as he only makes it out to 'these parts' on a yearly basis.

And while doing it, wear some of your Faux Fur...

Koopersmith on: The ONLY IN AMERICA Project @ The National Museum of American Jewish History

Chicago, IL USA:

THE ONLY IN AMERICA Project that is being undertaken by the National Museum of American-Jewish History in Phil, PA sounds like an incredibly great opportunity to shine The Spotlight on many well-deserving Jewish-Americans who have contributed to The Humanitarian Cause regardless of the Trials & Tribulations that 'We' -- Society and Mankind -- face every Day that, of course, includes Racism, Prejudice & Bigotry - so un-needed in our Day & Age.

I know (as I am Jewish) that the Number 18 is significant in Jewish Lore, but it seems TOO small of a number. If I had the fun part of running this Segment of their Museum in Philly, I would pick the top industries as Medicine, Science, Math, Education, Veterinarian Medicine, Scholastica, Inventors, Astronomy, Artists, Communicators, Homemakers, Chefs, etc. and pick (at least) 180 from each Category, still symbolic of the Number 18, but rightfully giving Credit where it is due, long over-due in some cases.

The Historical Greats that are already known as: Einstein, The Marx Bros, etc. can and should be in a Category of their own and their 'Count' should not interfere with an up and coming Jewish American Contingency who should receive well-deserved Accolades to continue their Valiant Efforts in their chosen Field(s). In other words: New Blood for a New Millennium.

That Way, not only could a 'Wall' of Honorables from each Industry and Segment be set up, but a Book could be released (comparable to the Marquis' Who's Who in...) that could serve as an Educational Primer and Sales Item or Memorabilia) at the Gift Shop as well as a taught in Schools. Perhaps even a Documentary could be later done to show the Selectees 'in action.'

After all, the MORE the Merrier. The 1900-2000s have been a very difficult and turbulent Era for Society with 6 needless but major Wars being fought across The World and it is reassuring (as well as humbling) to know that People - ie: Humanity (gentiles, atheists, agnostics, et. al. included) can 'work past' these unbearable Conflicts & Atrocities and concentrate on making the World a much better place for all of us, who all share the SAME DNA & Skin.

The Reason I am stating it in this detailed manner is that I finished completing my latest Book (a Compilation of 50 years of Knowledge, Insights and overt Observations), entitled:

SKiN
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

whose 45 Subjects/Themes/Topics deal with Oppression and how this Situation gravely affects us all, no matter what SKiN Tone & Relgion We were born. ONLY IN AMERICA has every Earmark of a Catalyst -- and I would not be surprised if other Museums -- or even as a global Elementary School Assignment -- could pick up the Concept and run with in!

Quick, tell me: "When's the Opening?" I wouldn't want to miss it!

Sincerely,

Koopersmith Notes Anniversary Date of 2000 Days Before 2000

Chicago, IL USA: Back on July 11, 1994 I began one of my most significant

HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE

called: 2000 Days Before 2000 (C)1994

which received international attention, because we were all counting down to the greatest Event of the Millennium - the Turning of the 20TH Century into the 21st. My premise starting on July 11, 1994 was to 'do' one thing a day so that by December 31, 1999 you could say you successfully did '2000 things before 2000.' Needless to say, this Koopersmithian Exercise was a way to break and crack bad habits and to stop the Plight of Procrastination once and for all.

With so many people following its Disciplines and wanting to continue down the right Path or Road, I then created '2000 Days AFTER 2000' (C)1997 so they could follow suit. Now, that it is significantly past that Holidate's Finale, there's no reason not to plan for the next:

3000 Days Before 3000

Well, we could let the Granchildren worry about that one, but since there will be no off-spring to carry on my EVENTOLOGICAL CALLING, Scribes will just have to keep the Sentiment alive, as I work on other projects of which my most recent is the Book/Script called:

SKiN
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

It is my sincere hope that this Copy gets picked up by a Hollywood Movie Dynamo who can really bring IT to life. That is this week's project. As you may recall the entire month of May was devoted to the Promotions of:

SKiN
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

On Sunday, July 12, 2009 I will be appearing at UnCommon Grounds, a coffee/conversation hang-out not far from Cubs Field reading a chapter -- the first of many literary events I plan to undertake for the furtherment of such a great topic, that in part is more than ever in the foreground of our days, namely because

of President Obama

and

of the recent and untimely Death of Michael Jackson,

both who addressed so much towards Understanding amongst all People. My Contribution to this cause is different as once the Book is read a person will instantly not be bigoted again. It's time has surely come.

And for those of us celebrating Birthdays, one old friend comes to mind...and that is Rob Becker who wrote and performed in DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN, a popular stage play. I recall Rob saying his birthday was July 11th -- which is the Anniversary Date of

2000 Days Before 2000

and without further adieu, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rob and all those who are completing all their Tasks and Passions - as there is no time like The Present.

FAUX FUR FRIDAY -- Event #28 of The Year...

Chicago, IL USA: A funny thing happened to me on my Way to celebrating FAUX FUR FRIDAYS for July 10, 2009. I realized one of the first Times I wore Faux Fur 'out' -- to a Party in which I had not been invited, but 'darn' I looked great, which was probably 1 of the main reasons I was 'allowed' to enter.

The Story goes like this:

I was invited to an Apartment Party by a co-worker (we will call him Robert LaBianca as that was his name circa 1984 when I held a straight Job at the AMA: American Medical Assn.). Robert lived 'downtown' in a High Rise Building, meaning lots of other people lived there. When I got to the building, I buzzed in. Someone answered my ring and told me to 'come up to a certain apartment number.' I trotted up, looking quite elegant in my Faux Fur -- Leopard Pants and Matching Jacket and talked to the Host who I 'assumed' was Robert's Roommate. He got me a drink and I proceeded to sit down, waiting for Robert to appear. At which time, I chatted with a few of the other guests. Small Talk, basically. As we spoke more, one of them asked me how I knew "George" -- the person hosting The Party.

"George?" I asked.

"George," they answered.

"Oh," I exclaimed in pure wonderment, "This is NOT the Apartment of Robert LaBianca?"

"No!" they laughed in unison. "He lives 5 floors up."

"Gosh, I'm at the WRONG Party," I shockingly stated, setting down my drink and searching the room for the Host so I could tell him 'thanks...however, I'm on the wrong Floor."

As I high-tailed out of there, I had to laugh. I blended in SO well, with my Faux Fur Outfit...I could have spent the entire evening there...Crashing Parties in Faux Fur is easy...and the New Friends you meet there may last for a lifetime.

And, oh, yes, Robert did wonder why I took SO long in making 'My Entrance.'

OFF THE CUFF AND ONTO THE PAVEMENT:

ALSO: As of Today, I have biked 2,500 Miles as I peddled through Evanston, IL, a lovely tree-lined Community that is extremely accessible on a Bike, the only way to travel.

7-8-9: July 8, 2009

Chicago, IL USA: For all those Daily 3 Lotto Players, the Top 3 Numbers to choose for today are:

7, 8 and 9

only because that's the way the numbers fall. Superstitious or not, Numbers (and especially those displayed in Digitopolis by Norton Juster) give us all an opportunity to add or subtract from our lives...

Dates as these make for great number games for Children of ALL ages.

Faux Fur Friday #27 takes place...

Today on Friday, July 3, 2009 - the first July Event that coincides with the 4TH of July -- marking ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith's 35 Year in Chicago, IL USA - as of Saturday. It's hard to believe that 35 years have passed since her arrival, but one thing is for certain, one never gets tired of wearing Faux Fur Products, but only grows fonder of them as the years wear on.

And, as we all know -- Faux Fur does not only mean synthetic or artificial furs for winter, but the Animal Patterns of Leopard, Zebra, Giraffe, etc. that can be reproduced in print format in any number of cotton, silk and other fabrics, according to your distinct(ive) likes and likings.

Celebrating the Patterns of Nature is something city dwellers do not take advantage of - but should do so more often.

Koopersmith sets another Biking Record at 56.

Chicago, IL USA: You don't need to be (another) Lance Armstrong to enjoy Bike Riding. Biking is not a race, as it's been turned into. It's whatever you make it out to be. In my case, I bike for several reasons:

Exercise
Convenience
Economic
Pleasure
Confidence Building
to alleviate Guilt...

after all, if you are an avid Biker/Bicyclist and make it a daily part of your regiment, the guilt of eating something decadent lessens and shows 'less' on the scale. This is a great feeling that could help Americans reduce and become healthy again...as the Facts are now appearing as to the States of Mississippi and Alabama having problems with Food Consumption.

Inactivity is a sad plight -- Biking relieves that instantly.

As a matter of fact, it is with great pride that as of 8:40 AM today in Evanston, IL I reached:

2400 miles

on my 3-speed. Those speeds are: Slower - Slower - Slowest -- the Speeds I'm most comfortable with. Since May 29, 2008, slightly over a year, I managed to peddle 2400 miles without even leaving the State...this indeed is a record -- one that you can do also...block by block.

More facts on: Biking your Weigh out of Obesity will be presented upon my next Milestone of 2500 miles...Estimated Time of Pedding: July 20TH...

July 1, 2009 - Save that Date...

Chicago, IL USA:

As 'America's Premier Eventologist,' one of the things I counsel people in is the availability provided by the NEXT TIME or the next BIG EVENT. Now that half the year is officially over, it's time to re-evaluate what you've done; where you've been (physically & mentally) and decide what is of the utmost importance in proceeding with your next half of 2009. There's no better time than THE PRESENT -- but learn from the Past as you plan for the Future and what 2009 has yet to bring us.
