ASK's Top Books For 2010: From Klingborgs to Forests to Summer, there's always something swell to read!

Chicago, IL USA: As a Writer, Author and 'America's Premier Eventologist,' there isn't anything I enjoy doing more than Reading and seeing what somebody else has to say. And with that thought in mind as I wrap up the Writing of:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

I did manage to read 10 great Books this year that perhaps you will find Time to read in The New Year ahead: 2010.

The charming Part about these Books is that they motivate you, as Leif Klingborg does yet another significant Part about Books in general, is that they do not need to be published during the Year thereof -- they can be as old as paper itself -- survivors (as We say) who have penned a vitally important Message as Charles Darwin's THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES has, having celebrated CD's 200TH Birthday this year - coinciding with Abe Lincoln's Birthday -- who also was born in '09 -- 1809, that is.

My, how time flies - and especially moreso if you're reading on local transportation commuting in a big city of readers as Chicago is.

With only a few hours left in 2009, it's still time to get copies of these Texts, which are:

The K Concept by Leif Klingborg, Leader of Leaders

The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin (segments are online)

Owls by Gail Gibbons

A Forest Journey by John Perlin

Dead Snails Leave No Trails by Loren Nancarrow and Janet Hogan Taylor

How To Write A Screenplay by Mark Evan Schwartz

The Business of Screenwriting by Ron Suppa, Esq.

Migrating Animals by Etta Kaner and Pat Stephens

Drawing from Nature by Jim Arnosky

Animals in Summer by Jane R. McCauley

The Birthday Book published by Natalis Press, Inc. 1993

And in closing KOOPERSMITHin (The Blog) for 2009 with 176 entries (up 47 from 129 penned last year), with the amount of WAB: Writers, Authors & Bloggers OUT THERE who need to be read, you and your family and friends always find something worth reading.

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race © celebrates 11TH Month Anniversary: 12-29-9

Chicago, IL USA:

As the Calendar reads, today is the Eleventh Month Celebration that:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

began...and not only began, but serves as a Creative Model for what can be accomplished in a year's time. That Process was a long one -- but one enriched by a 3 dynamic Storylines; over 100,000 Words that were then transcribed into a Screenplay --that is now being 'shopped' to Hollywood Movie Producers.

For more information about the Dynamics of this Production, contact me directly at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

or

Adrienne(dot)Sioux(dot)Koopersmith(at)gmail(dot)com

I can honestly say that on December 29, 2008, I had not expected to write a Book and then follow-up with a Screenplay...but if you set your sights on the Possibilities that could become a Reality, then anything is possible and that's what The Arts and Self-Fulfillment are all about every day and every year that passes.

Chicago, IL USA:

The 18TH year anniversary of my founding of CAC: Cartoonists Against Crime (C)1991 whose Motto is:

We Draw Cartoons - Not Guns

is hosting a 4 day Celebration commemorating the Creation of this major Humanitarian and Comic Art Program.

Founded by Chicago: ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH after she was robbed, beaten and left for dead in the lobby of her apartment on a cozy little street in Chicago, she felt this was her way of helping to protect and save an innocent life. After 3 major art shows, radio & TV interviews and wads of press coverage, in September of 2001, after The Towers fell and planes dropped from the sky, ASK then went on and founded CARTOONISTS AGAINST TERRORISM (C)2001.

&

The Chicago Tribune, Chicago, Illinois, January 23, 2001

ADRIENNE was able to single herself out as an ‘Unconventional Writer,’ spotlighting her admirable Causes. Reflecting back on the Years from 1952-1990, ASK realized that Life is merely the Composition of Series of Events that continually occur. These Occurrences may be good, bad or neutral. How each one is perceived, approached and handled can mean The Difference in Success or Failure; a good Day or a Mediocre Day. This is what she refers to as the Reveal-Reflect-Realize Triangle.

On a whim, ADRIENNE figured out how many Lives (as a Leo born on August 9TH) she had ‘used’ up when she was in her late 30s. Astonishingly, she had gone over her Limit of 9. Cats possess the Proverbial 9 Lives but somehow she had managed to get through difficult Episodes of ‘High Suspense and Magnitude’ and “lived to write about them” as she states.

“Writing records is a Therapeutic Outlet that aids those who simply set Pen to Paper or Fingers to Keyboard. The Records become an infallible Part of the Tapestry of Contemporary Life, then turning into History as Time progresses. For the Record-Keepers, their Readers and Future Generations are the ones who benefit.”

Quote of: ASK
Monday, April 9, 2007 – 4:05 PM & Wednesday, April 11, 2007 – 4:21 PM

The stark Realization is that We are all living on Borrowed Time and if We don’t use the Time We do have at our Disposal, it’s a Crying Shame that ’The Most’ is not accomplished each and every Day. These instrumental and incremental Standards are applied to The Development of each HOLIDATE (all 1,500) when thoroughly explaining ‘How To Properly Celebrate A HOLIDATE ®.’

At this Key Moment, ADRIENNE then wanted to share these Experiences with others. Knowing DNA and ‘the Future’ are Two Commonalities Humans share on a Daily Basis, it is consequential to live in and for The Day. However, when Tough Times occur, it does not signal ‘The End of The World’ but should be seen as a Growth Process. Always citing herself as an Example in which to take her Cues, ASK survived some harrowing Experiences. Others have also; some much worse. This Mindset needs to be embedded into a Person’s Psyche for those unexpected, Scary Times when Change abruptly enters and Uncertainly seems to loom with no End in Sight.

“As a Child growing up, My Mother would read AESOP’s Fables to me, which turned out to be my favorite Author of all Time. As I delved into the EVENTOLOGICAL Writings and was creating New Words to suit each Event, I surprisingly realized my own Name contained AESOP’s Name as shown below:

AdriEnne Sioux kOoPersmith

“Judging by this Encryption, there must be a Link between Early Learning Processes and how Artists perceive and ‘draw upon’ their Surroundings for their Inspiration. ‘If that doesn’t prove there are Ancient Astronauts, I don’t know what does!’ is what Boyfriend Bob says in jest. ”On the other hand this Connection adds a certain Charm, Glamour and SuperNatural Awe to what I’m composing at The Time, as Reincarnation is a fascinating Topic in some Literary Circles. After all, who is to say?”

THAT PIVOTAL MOMENT:

On Wednesday, July 25, 1990 at 9:45 PM, KOOPERSMITH began a Concept and Trend that rapidly gained Attention and a certain Amount of Notoriety and Fame from Advertising/Public Relation Companies, The Publishing Industry & The Media. This Reawakening ran parallel to the Time of America’s Great Fascination with the Spiritual Movement. These Ideologies (that she still relies on and lives for Today) would catapult her to The Top of her Game as:

‘America’s Premier Eventologist ®’
&
‘The Premier Eventologist in the History of the World ®’

in the Days ahead.

Cited as:

EVENTOLOGY: ®
The ART of EVENT-Making
ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH’s Campaigns For Humanity, ©1990

this Compilation houses over 1,500 HOLIDATES ASK created involving her relevant Theories of living Life to the fullest.

HOLIDATES is derived from the Two Words:

HOLIDAYS + DATES = HOLIDATES ®

and are defined as: Goodwill, Humanitarian, Altruistic, Educational, Recreational, Spiritual, Good-Time and Fun-Type Holidays that fall into 34 specific Categories.

In 1997, ADRIENNE published a Short-Run on the award-winning:

EVENT-O-PEDIA: 1997 ®
(Winning Two (2) Awards for Originality from the Calendar Marketing Association)

&

EAT-Vent-O-Pedia: 1998®
that describes Ways to eat healthily and wisely.
This was, of course, five years before The Obesity Crisis became a Hot Topic in America.

THE ADVENTURES ENCOUNTERED IN EVENTOLOGY ®:
“When a Person changes Courses, as I have done on many Occasions, the Perspectives during that Period are also altered. Just one small Step can take The Bitter and convert it into Better.”

Quote of: ASK
Saturday, April 7, 2007 – 9:40 AM

In essence, that’s the Bottom Line of EVENTOLOGY ® created, developed and popularized by KOOPERSMITH. Not only should every Day be worked and enjoyed for The Gift that it is; but if Situations are not working out, they can be altered and changed for The Better without ‘losing control’ of The Situation. KOOPERMITH’s 1,500 HOLIDATES are convenient, daily Ways and Reminders to entertain yourself via their Themes and Messages.

THE FIRST UNVEILING: In 1995 after developing EVENTOLOGY ® for 5 years, in order to ‘Spread The Word’ on the Usefulness and Uniqueness of EVENTOLOGY ®, ADRIENNE contacted Publishers who then noted the Attributes, Positive Thoughts & Originality she was aiming to disseminate. Their supportive Comments and Compliments are:

PART 3:

WHAT
KOOPERSMITH’s KREATIVE KINGDOM & KALENDAR:
A RETURN TO UTOPIA ©1990
ENCOMPASSES:

IN TIMELINE FORMAT:

ADRIENNE is also the Founder and Mastermind of AFSEE: Advocates For Senior Equality & Enrichment ©2002, whose Writings assist and support those Individuals ages 50 and older. AFSEE’s Focus is based on specific Issues that Broadcasting Networks fail to pinpoint; are overlooked or condemned merely by being ‘Old.’ With Reading, Writing, Promoting and Publishing in The Forefront of her Days, ASK is the Creative Force behind:

ABC: ADRIENNE’s BOOK CRITIQUES and AB.c: Adrienne’s Bookshelf.com ©2001

making sure Books she feels are meritorious receive the Exposure they truly deserve. Interestingly enough, as one Author writing about another Author, it’s a Bond that ties and is taken from The Standpoint that ADRIENNE thoroughly understands what The Writer is attempting to convey to his/her Audience.

After being violently assaulted, robbed and left-for-dead in a pool of blood (her own) in the lobby of her apartment building on Monday, December 23, 1991 at 6 PM sharp, she heroically created: CARTOONISTS AGAINST CRIME ©1991, followed a Decade later by CARTOONISTS AGAINST TERRORISM ©2001; then CARTOONISTS AGAINST OBESITY ©2003.

“Even if the Language is not understood, the Expressions on a Cartoon Character’s Face can reveal a multitude of Emotions and Messages,” ASK claims. “This is where Comic Art becomes a Learning Tool and an ideal Medium in which to SAVE A PRECIOUS LIFE. Whether the Assault is classified as street crime, domestic violence, global terrorism or the battle of the bulge (which can also be a death sentence to those so suffering), the Viewer can derive Safety Tips (Communiqués or Messages) from a Comic Art Panel that could (someday) save his very Life.”

Because of her poignant Writing Style on these Humanitarian Crusades, Mayors, Governors and Presidents endorsed ASK’s three outstanding Comic Art Campaigns, thus elevating her Standing in the Art World as a Pioneer in the Creative Arts. She was The First in recorded History to link Crime Prevention to Comic Art, thus SAVING A PRECIOUS LIFE exhibited in an Educational Manner that did not ‘hurt.’ By marrying Comic Art with Crime Prevention, ADRIENNE set a Precedence and opened Doors for others to pursue their Dreams and Creative Studies.

WORDS DON’T FAIL ME NOW!

As of 2007, within the Span of Seventeen (17) Years, ADRIENNE has penned Fifty (50) Manuscripts (including Children’s Stories and Fairy Tales) with Pop Culture heading this expansive Selection of Topics. To accompany this immense Body of Work, as a lifelong, card-carrying Wordsmith, she has created 500+ nouveau and hip Terms that she assigns to The Writings’ Contents along with PQ: Poignant Quotes that capture and captivate the Essence of each Compositions.

ADRIENNE has found that The Melding of Words + Quotes always seems to go better with a Drawing whether it’s complex or simple. In the Days prior to eMail, beginning in the early 1960s when ADRIENNE would ’pen pal’ with others across The Globe, she delighted in what was tagged as MAIL ART, whereby Envelopes would be ’colored in’ with an Assortment of vibrating Designs, Faces, Lines and Color. One of her more popular Characters to emerge from this Era was Marble Man,® a curly-cue B&W Line Drawing that was shaded and slashed in with Streaks of Color. Making People grin before ‘The Smiley Face’ came upon ‘The Scene,’ Marble Man circled The World on Stamp Power before High Technology convinced ASK to hop-on-board.

MOVING THE NEWS THE ASKIAN WAY:
By heading her PRAM: Public Relations-Advertising-Marketing Firm called:

KOOPERSMITH’s GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS
“People read what Adrienne writes about…”

since 1979, she then introduces, applies and promotes The Concepts + Words + Images that she feels so strongly about to define and elevate Modern Culture as seen ‘Through The Creative Eyes of ASK.’ ADRIENNE enjoys adding her own Style of putting ‘The Pop’ into Pop Culture and setting new Trends in so doing.

A lifelong Advocate of Bicycling since age 6 (circa 1958), in 2003, ASK launched Bike Safety Campaigns & Rallies called:

“I’m Somebody’s Daughter, Too!” ©2003
&
The Bicyclists’ Moratorium Against Wreckless Taxi Cab Companies & Drivers ©2003

after being hit for the seventh time while Cycling. As a conscientious and alert Peddler that halts for yellow lights, out-of-control pets, pre-occupied drivers and speed-freaks, most Reporters are shocked to hear of a small-boned person (as ADRIENNE is) withstanding being hit seven times while Cycling in a City that promotes acute Bicycle Activity and Safety.

Of course, PI: Pertinent Issues included in her Campaigns, Rallies and Writings include Automobile Drivers who chatter incessantly on their cell phones, making it increasingly more hazardous on the Roadways for all Travelers than ever before; DUIs; Senior Steerings; Carpooling and how Global Warming Affects Transportation. Today, ADRIENNE travels around town on a Vintage 1947 Schwinn and uses her Classic Bike as Transportation for Business, Recreation, Exercise and Health Purposes besides demonstrating Smarter Ways to travel The Earth without adding to The Global Warming Crisis.

TIPPING THE SCALES & THUMBING HER NOSE AT BOTH AGE & SWEETS:

February 25, 2007 marked ADRIENNE’s 10TH Year of Biking day-in and day-out (even in inclement Weather). As a thriving BabyBoomer being accelerated by The Philosophies behind her AFSEE Writings, ADRIENNE tells People that due to Perseverance and a Need to keep fit as she ages, she has taken off four (4) inches from her Frame within that Decade and has kept it off. In an Age where ‘Skinny’ and ‘Youth’ are revered, the Lessons ASK has learned via her Perception of Aging & Exercising continue to keep her Mentally, Physically and Spiritually alert. Also proven invaluable is her Ability to bike for an Hour every Day. By doing so, she has completely eliminated The Guilt from eating any delicious, high calorie Food that she may desire or crave. “This is truly a Relief that most American Women struggle with. I have finally solved that Problem,” she declares. “I can now thoroughly enjoy whatever I desire because I know that by a constant and steady Schedule of Biking, added Pounds will not show up on my Scale or on my Physique. You have to find what works best for you and instill that Habit (as a Routine) in your Regiment.”

As ADRIENNE ‘does The Math’ for you, with 8,760 Hours in a Year, 365 Hours (or 1 Hour a Day) spent Exercising is an extremely Small Price to pay to keep fit and healthy. Her proven Formula boils down to 30 Minutes in the Morning and 30 Minutes in the Afternoon. That is only 4.166% of our entire Year (and/or Lifespan).

In October of 2002, after being contacted by a major West Coast Food Manufacturer to write a Testimonial, ADRIENNE became so inspired she penned a Manuscript (Book) called:

LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF ICE CREAM
Interpretations About Our Favorite Timeless Dessert ©2002.

Grasping how popular Events are in People’s Lives and primarily known as ‘America’s Premier Eventologist’, ASK declared The Decade of 2003-2013 as:

THE DECADE OF EVERYTHING ICE CREAM ©2002.

Ice Cream has long held The Reputation of being one Food that brings a Smile to People’s Faces by conjuring up a Celebration – a Good Time, an Event that is both memorable and tasty to all Attendees and Party-cipants.

In September of 2003, ADRIENNE produced a Book that contained Ten Percent (10%) of her Daily BUZZ-O-GRAMS ® based on her self-formulated Concept called:

PRAM: Public Relations – Advertising – Marketing ®.

An eNewsletter of 131 Topical BUZZ-O-GRAMS ® (spiraling out of Guerrilla Marketing Ideologies) had been written from Wednesday, April 23 through Wednesday, October 1, 2003. Their Contents can easily be converted to Forwards for Books on the Passel of Topics she had covered. To facilitate the EVENTOLOGICAL Movement, these BUZZ-O-GRAMS ® are now exclusively written for Clients who need Special Content for their Websites or other Literary Projects.

In 2003, TOONING UP WITH ASK ® was ADRIENNE’s newest Cartoon Art Serial featuring the Thoughts of her ‘Inner Cartoonist’ named Little Elmost® that appeals to the vast international Sphere of Comic Art Aficionados. Entailed within are Insights on ‘the World’s most popular Art Form: Comic and Cartoon Art’ from (her) Past & Present Literary & Graphic Archives.

“I’m 50 & I Gotta Boyfriend” ©2002 is a multi-year, multi-media Project KOOPERMITH created in the Spring of 2003 under The Auspices of AFSEE ©2002 and properly launched in September of 2003. Consisting of 50 Women Writers (one from each State of The Union) – all born in 1952, ADRIENNE’s Year of Birth, the Premise is that all Members highlight their ‘Trip Through Their 50s’ in the various Regions where they reside, reflecting upon their Life, Styles, Loves & Concerns. As a continuing Series in the Life and Times of BabyBoomers, ADRIENNE and millions of others across The Planet are aging gracefully as the years pass. Perceived as a Voice to be reckoned with, these Voices need to be heard and recorded. Subsequent Titles are chronicled as:

I’m 51 & I Gotta Boyfriend ©2003
I’m 52 & I Gotta Boyfriend ©2004
I’m 53 & I Gotta Boyfriend©2005
I’m 54 & I Gotta Boyfriend ©2006

FYI, at 54, ASK is proudly planning an AFSEE ® Get-Together with her Classmates as The Class of 70 turns 55 in August of 2007. With BabyBoomers taking The Lead in this pronounced and swelling Demographic, Industries are turning their attention to the marketing, care and catering to these ‘Seniors and Senioritas’ (as ASK labels them).

Acknowledging the robust Charisma and Vitality of this Group, through AFSEE ®, ASK intends to help empower BabyBoomers – the Individuals who have donated so much to Modern Times. By removing the Stigmas and Taboos attached to Aging (itself) in The World’s most Civilized Nation, The Emphasis is ‘writefully’ placed upon The Lessons learned through their daily Events + Experiences.

THE THREE CAMPAIGNS THAT SET ART HISTORY ON FIRE:

After reading and hearing so much about the Overweight Epidemic that is plaguing America as well as other Countries across the World, ADRIENNE again turned her Attention, Intuition and Cognitive Senses to the Field of Comic Art & Cartooning, one of her foremost Loves. With a proven Formula set, she conceptualized a new, dynamic Crusade based on The Principles she formulated with The Founding of CARTOONISTS AGAINST CRIME ©1991 on Monday, December 23, 1991 and CARTOONISTS AGAINST TERRORISM ©2001 after the Terrorist Attacks on American Soil. Based on Health, Nutrition, Education and Self-Esteem, CARTOONISTS AGAINST OBESITY ©2003 is yet another Campaign others can relate to as they fight their Daily Demons and seek Self-Improvement.

TURNING THE TABLES ON GLUTTONY:

ASK returned from a Candyholics’ Dream Convention in mid-June of 2004. She walked Miles of Aisles that were chocolate-saturated, caramel-sweetened or cinnamon-coated. Every Sweet Confection was dipped and dribbled in every flavor-Favorite ever conceived. Decked out and decorated in Candy, the ALL CANDY EXPO ® turned ASK’s Attention, Writing and Promotional Expertise to the Confectionery Industry, one that sweeps and spans The World in endless kinds of incrEDIBLE EDIBLES.

As a very important Segment of Our Day, Food is an ‘Event’ in and of itself. Part of The Intrigue ADRIENNE sees in Life deals with Ironies and receiving ‘Mixed Signals.’ Figuring those Puzzles out lends itself to wiser Decisions that may be as feasible and warranted (in the times ahead).

For those Poor Souls in Countries where Starvation and Mal-Nutrition are rampant, a Meal is an Event. That Statement cannot be argued. Linking her EVENTOLOGICAL Library Roster of 1,200+ HOLIDATES, ADRIENNE has penned 333+ EAT-Vents ® (defined as: Food based HOLIDATES that cleverly teach People how to eat healthily and wisely). Therefore, this Avenue seemed to be a logical ‘Main Course’ to take as ADRIENNE began writing a Monthly eNewsletter called:

ASK’s TOP ‘SWEET 16’ SWEETS’ LIST ©2004-2007.

Simultaneously, she began composing The Pages of one of her tastiest Manuscripts (Books) entitled:

HE WHO EATS CANDY
Spotlighting 192 of the Top Candy & Sweets’ Producers of The 21ST Century:
A CANDY-O-PEDIA ©2004-2005

Teaming up with her Significant Other, ROBERT E. HOFSTADTER (a Creatif in his own ‘write’ and Member of the prestigious Hofstadter Family who have won 3 Pulitzers and 1 Nobel Prize), ADRIENNE & ROBERT formulated KICK:

KOOPERSMITH’s INTICING CANDY KINGDOM ®

that strictly focuses on their Likes, Licks and Interests in the Global Confectionery Industry.

THE TIES THAT BIND: As a Chicago Personality and Creatif backed by her PRAM Company to broadcast her Visions, ADRIENNE is seeking other Avenues in which to market her commendable crusades. In her:

KICK: KOOPERSMITH’s INTICING CANDY KINGDOM ® Realm,

she is seeking a Spokesperson Role promoting her own Candy Bar. Portions of The Proceeds are ear-marked towards her immense Array of Charitable HOLIDATES ® — all 1,500+ of them that span 34 universal Categories.

After all,

SWEETENING UP AND ENTERTAINING PEOPLE WITH HER IDEAS, CONCEPTS & WRITTEN WORDS

are what ADRIENNE has persistently been doing daily since she was 6 years old while ‘Growing Up Koopersmith’ in her Hometown of Mendota, Illinois where her Father reigned as Mayor for nearly 16 years. Being in the Political Forefront as a Youngster initially set The Pace for ADRIENNE’s Creativity and Networking Prowess.

ON BEING A NATURAL BORN WRITER.

“When ‘The Goin’ gets tough, The Tough write it out. ‘The Goin’ needn’t even ‘get tough’ to be able to write. Writing is a fulfilling Past-Time to enjoy no matter what the pervading Circumstances are or may be(come) as I have constantly found and learned. Memorizing The Alphabet in Miss Watson’s Second Grade Classroom and became a Wordsmith in my ‘Own Write of Passage.’ Writing poignant, humorous or grabbing QWITE: Quotes, Witticisms, Insights, Testimonials and Elan come naturally to ASK. The Process and Flow (known as the Art & Act) of Writing make it extremely difficult to quit. To the non-Writer, it could be asked: “I write. What again is your Excuse?”

QUOTING ASK:

Original Quotation penned: Wednesday, November 5, 2003
Revision #1: Sunday, April 1, 2007:

“Motivation is the Culprit that allows me to think out-of-the-box and off the Page, write, compose and crusade. Even as a Youngster, I derived much Pleasure from Writing (solitary as The Exercise may be) and wake-up early and eager to get back at it again and again; to refine it; to define it and to add more Lines to it. My Writing Techniques and Styles have taken many Forms throughout The Decades based on The Change of all Outer and Inner Forces (from Printing to Writing to Typing to Internet Exchanges). Taking The Pulse of Popular Culture and respecting The Sake of The Arts (overall) as I do, in my Special Case, those Productions yield and give birth to a Societal Benefit and possibly the Healthiest Addiction worth possessing.”

THE YEARS COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2005-2007:

ENTER PHOTOGRAPHY:
Taking Pictures of The Moments of Our Lives

ADRIENNE purchased GORF, THE FROG (measuring 24.5”) on Friday, January 28, 2005 for the simple reason that he physically stopped her in her tracks with that huge 11” Smile that automatically made her grin. As an avid Toy Collector since birth, ADRIENNE never saw a TOY that had this Amount of Appeal or Magnetism. Being a devout Publicist and Promoter, she knew she had a once-in-a-lifetime Hot Product on her hands. Her Intuition has never failed. Whenever ADRIENNE & ROBERT took GORF on ’Outings,’ People stopped and asked about The Toy. THE FROG’s Magnetic Draw (ADRIENNE assumed) could be channeled into Humanitarian Campaigns. ROBERT and ASK quickly drew up a List of 10 Crusades that direly needed to be addressed and resolved.

By applying their Creative Efforts, Experience and Eventological Expertise via GORF, the Team of ADRIENNE & ROBERT are able to easily draw The People’s Attention to these critical Campaigns.

Thousands of Groups are vigilantly combating the largest Campaign, GLOBAL WARMING that affects every Species on the Planet. To date, GORF has appeared on local and National TV and attends city-wide Events in order to win The Crowds’ Hearts and to grab their Attention. Simultaneously, ADRIENNE taught herself how to snap Pictures of The FROG-In-Action. These Images or Photographs (re-termed photoGORFS ®) are shot in colorful Locales that aid in elevating GORF to a new Genre of TOY – The TOY that inspires People in doing their Part for Humanity.

The Link between what ADRIENNE did to join or merge Comic Art to Crime Prevention is evidently very similar to her Stance in taking GORF and setting him apart as a Reminder – a loving TOY – of Our Role that The Planet is a living, breathing Entity.

As ADRIENNE accesses it: “GORF is a tangible ’Cartoon Character’ which is one of my earliest Loves. GORF (combined with my Crusades and Campaigns) is a terrific Way of drawing Attention to The Fact that ’Wasted Time’ can be better used by working for Causes that should better The Planet.”

Many People ask if ADRIENNE abandoned her Love of Comic Art when ROBERT & ASK became KEEPERS OF THE FROG, GORF. Quite to the contrary, her MO: Modus Operandi is that she cleverly melded the Two Arts. Taking the Elements of both, ADRIENNE used the Traits of Cartoon Art + Photography, named it:

PHOTOONS ®
(PHOTO-graphs + car-TOONS = PHOTOONS ®)

and uses both in her Writings as IllustraTOONS that enhance each Page, Poster and Product. “Nothing is ever lost, but always built on, amended and abridged according to ‘The Change du Jour,’” ASK explains.

HAVE TOYS WILL TRAVEL:

Today, THE GORF FAMILY has 5 Members (GORF, The Original, GORF’s Body-Double, Pink, Ming & Turq). ADRIENNE is now Chicago’s Leading TOY Stylist, one Career that she again invented to meet her Needs and Role as a BabyBoomer, ever-changing as she works her Way through Life. As an Indicator of Popular Culture, TOYS (as a multi-billion dollar industry) have captured People’s Hearts since their Youth and TOYS travel as Part of ‘The Family’ with us throughout Our Lives no matter what Age we are.

ON AN EARLY NOVEMBER DAY IN 2006:

ADRIENNE happened across a Contest for Office Products. With a Background firm in Writing since Age 6, she has, undoubtedly, used every Office Product ever invented. Spurred on by this Contest, within a few hours after accessing what her Home Office needed, she invented 4 new Products. Because ROBERT (her Significant Other is a Civil Engineer), she consulted with him and he placed the ’Finishing Touches’ on The Concepts. ”I had no idea I could invent a Product,’ ADRIENNE laughs. ”Then, all of a sudden, there was a Need and Ideas (4 of them) popped into my Mind. The Power and Act of Creating can not be beat. It’s a ‘High’ and Adrenalin Rush that can’t be duplicated. An Experience like this makes me think of the Old Phrase that Parents instill in their Children. That is: ’Never say never.’ And, if I may add: Don’t stop looking for that next New Project or Invention. No matter what it may be or where it originates from, you possess The Talent to see it through Completion.”

IMAGINATION + INVENTIVENESS ARE ALL IT TAKES:

Combined with the mammoth Body of Written Work containing 1,500+ HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE ® that she methodically created, launched and is universally known for, ADRIENNE’s ongoing multi-faceted Career is derived from processing Bad Situations (The Bitter) and turning them into Good Situations (The Better).

ENTER: CHICAGOLOGY 101®:
As 2007 broke loose, ADRIENNE is buzzing about Chicagology 101 ® - a Bi-Weekly Travel BLOG that she pens for Hotels by City, a Travel Group based in Winnipeg and Miami. Chicagology 101 ® features the People, Places and Events that occur in The Windy City – ‘Sweet Home’ Chicago where ASK has resided since 1974. Defined as ‘both rich in Quality and Quantity of Content,’ ASK launched her highly loquacious and info-packed Segment on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Chicagology 101 ® is now one of the most popular Travel BLOGS on The Internet with Local Personalities clamoring to be a Feature in her Chica-GO-ans on the GO ©2007 Section.

Lacing Astrology with Compatibility (between Peoples seeking Coupledom), ADRIENNE created Compatistrology® that is a Weekly Section of Chicagology 101, her BLOG.

Appearing on Tuesday and Friday, read Chicagology 101® at:

SCANNING THE LAST 17 YEARS:

“The Ability to work with many talented People was initially launched by the start-up of Koopersmith’s Global Communications in 1979. Wanting to delve into my own Creative Side (as an interesting Spin-Off), this great Body of Eventological Work (that touches so many People in splendid Ways) was produced from July, 1990 to April, 2007. Collectively, this Process set all other Eventological Events into motion and created a Groundswell in the Event-Making Industry. With endless Concepts on My Roster that have been explored and those still needing Exposure, Time to cultivate them is of highest Priority. However, if a Person truly enjoys what he/she is doing, ‘The Time’ will be found to make sure all their Bases are covered. Setting Boundaries and Parameters is tantamount in The Art + Act of Creative Cultivation. It’s easy to get sucked up into The Maelstrom of Addictions, Problems, Turmoil and Crises, but it’s just as easy to immerse yourself in ‘what counts’ and ‘What Matters’ as ROBERT’s younger Son, ZACK says.”

PART 5: AN ASK LITERARY PASSAGE

A STUDY OF MODERN LITERATURE ©2003
By: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith
Penned: November 2-20, 2003

‘Modern Literature is a brilliant Combination of Intuition,
Pen + Paper and an unending Drive to define, twist, color and reshape
The Times of Our Lives to accommodate and
reflect The Events that affect us all…
in Passages that will delight One’s Fancy,
accentuate The Positive and open more Eyes still;
thereby fulfilling One’s Impetuous Soul;
to ignite or free The Human Spirit and induce Fantastic Visions.
We measure The Bliss and The Strength of Our Days
by the Successful Strides and Events that have been achieved.
This Regard adds up to the ‘Common Wealth’ of Man.
=============================================

REVEAL-REFLECT-REALIZE-RESIDE-RECOGNIZE:
THE PENTAGON: A House of Faith

The Word ‘Repeat’ can be added to The List as well as Reawakening, Reckoned, Recollection, Recorded, Refers, Regard, Regiment, Regions, Relevant, Relief and Relies. This List is The Basis of ADRIENNE’s Life as she has used all 17 of these Action Verbs and Nouns to make her Life and Writings interesting. By ‘Reinventing’ ourselves and our Surroundings, We are able to ‘step out of ourselves’ and grow in Directions and Realms, never before tackled.

Reading, Recollections, Recreational, Reflecting, Regiment, Registered, Reincarnation, Relate, Remain, Reminders, Removing, Reputation, Resolved, Returning and Revered are all added to that Life’s List. Words (as these) put the Civility into Civilization.

“Nothing remains Stagnant. Life continues. After a Day is complete, what remains is The Mark we imprinted – priceless as it is. Impressions are continuously made. First Impressions (whose Mark is indelible) can never be reproduced. Our Days are designed to yield applicable Pursuits in our Growth for Excellence. Sharing our honed Talents through The Passage of Time, a Passion for Life grows.”

Quote of: ASK
Saturday, April 7, 2007 – 10:09 AM

QUOTING MARY: Events are packed into Days. Events, then create and shape those Days. Those Days make up a Lifetime. As Mary McCauley of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel stated about ADRIENNE’s Eventological Career (on Sunday, September 1, 1996):

“When G-d created the World, He somehow neglected to name the Days. Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith is taking up the slack.”

THE EVOLUTION OF A WRITER: “Establishing a recognizable Name, Reputation and unique Writing Style doesn’t come overnight. Longevity only arrives after a certain Number of Days pass. Establishing anything worthwhile — no matter what your Passion is — doesn’t really ’come easy.’ You continually build on your Prior Days’ Work and Achievements to plan for the Future. Blueprints need charting; Ideas need development; Schemes need adjusting; Thoughts need time to grow. As The Process grows, The Road traveled will be a True Adventure. ’Getting there’ is The Highlight worth remembering and worth savoring. With Perseverance and a Drive to succeed, the Side Paths, Hills and Valleys may not be anticipated but appear and disappear like a fine Morning Fog. That is a Legacy with no Rivals.”

Quote of: ASK
Tuesday, April 3, 2007 – 8:16 AM

”Your Destination is the EVENT-ual Outcome of what is put into every Day lived. Those Challenges are perpetually there and can be faced or erased. When one Challenge is completed, the next Challenge awaits. Tackling those Challenges is courageous even if the Person is not a registered card-carrying EVENTOLOGIST®.”

PART 7: TESTIMONIALS
In the early 1990s, Pop Artist and an internationally recognized Design Icon, Peter Max of New York City had publicly cited ASK as the most ‘Creative Person in Chicago’ that he knows.

“Wow, you’re a magician in writing. It sounds sooo good now. I don’t think I need to do anything else.” Quote of: VAL: Lan Hoang Vu, Viet Nam’s Leading Illustrator. Thursday, July 18, 2002.

Chicago, IL USA: This eMail just arrived at ASK Global Communications and is an event - a MUST-GO TO...in order to save the Art World and the Species (from itself).
For those who want to interview Mr. Thompson on his Viewpoints, contact him directly at:

lowellt(at)hotmail(dot)com

Many of you know Lowell as The Artist - indeed Chicago's Top Mover & Shaker who drew the most incredible profile of President Barack Obama about 18 months ago that was 'THE HIT'of the January 2009 Inauguration as he sold limited edition copies of the Portrait in Washington, DC. It later appeared in numerous art shows across Chicagoland during 2009.

Said painting is not yet found in the Oval Room behind our President's head (when he takes care of the country's problems), but fans of Lowell are hoping it will be appearing there shortly in 2010. 2010 undoubtedly will be:

THE YEAR OF LOWELL THOMPSON

The following is the latest News Release on Lowell's Activities: Mark your calendar for Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009. I'll be there...would not miss it!

Lowell Thompson, well known Chicago recovering ad man, artist, writer, blogger, blah, blah, blah, etc., etc., etc., will lead a discussion on the big, 800 ton, "black" and "white" gorilla in the art room, Race & Art.

Thompson was one of the first and few AfrAmericans creating ads in the big-time ad agencies in the late 60s, 70s, & 80s. Some say he was blacklisted in the 90s because of his fight to open the adbiz up to all talent. Since then he has reinvented himself as an artist, writer and Creative Catalyst, using his visual and verbal expertise to, when not saving the world, rescue the Chicago creative community (from itself).

Art. In Black. Or White.
Lowell Thompson Talks.
The Op Shop.
1613 E. 55th Street.
2pm - 4pm

Faux Fur Fridays - #51 of 52. It's just a BIKE Ride away.

Chicago, IL USA: So as the year winds down to its last 13 days, so do FAUX FUR FRIDAYS (C)2008 - celebrated throughout 2009 - which have provided lots of fun as well as food-for-fodder every Friday. Pertaining to ecology and bearing the thought in mind that it is better to WEAR faux fur patterns instead of real animals, Faux Fur Fridays will carry onthroughout 2010, but will be featured on the 4TH Friday of the month only.

This is because my main creative Activity for 2010 will be the promotion of my Novel:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009

that I just completed as a Screenplay that will be evaluated by Hollywood Producers as of January 5, 2010. Because the 10 Characters of SKiN are Toys taken from my Toy Box (being the avid Toy Collector that I am), the Spirit of Faux Fur Fridays continues, but for the most part the 4 Themes will be vigorously worked since RACE and RACISM are still problematic - imagine that -- even as we approach the New Year -- and 10 years into the New Millennium and Century.

Also, as the First Year Anniversary of SKiN approaches on Friday, January 29, 2010 I will be doing an interview with on-air Radio Personality:

Terry Phillips of KVPO, presents Quality of Life: Valley Public Radio's weekly exploration of issues that affect our Quality of life. The programs are heard Tuesday mornings from 9am to 10am.

Terry is also an accomplished Author - having written "Murder at the Altar" - a historical novel - released in February 0f 2008. He is available for interviews by contacting:

Hye Books*
P.O. Box 12492
Bakersfield, CA 93389

editor@HyeBooks.com

December 24, 2009 marks the 76 anniversary of the murder assassination of his lead Character, Archbishop Ghevont Tourian in New York City

And at his website at http://terrypress.com/about.php his Bio states:

Journalist Terry Phillips is a veteran war correspondent. From the waning days of the Cold War to the start of the Gulf Conflict, he reported major stories for CBS, NPR and NBC/Mutual News. During the 1990s, he was based in Moscow and witnessed the collapsing Soviet Empire. He traveled throughout the now-former USSR, as well as to hot spots in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond. Phillips was one of the first American reporters to live and work in Armenia following the 1988 earthquake, and to cover the armed conflict in Mountainous Karabagh. Among his other international datelines are Baghdad, Kabul, Mogadishu, Port-au-Prince, Prague and Sarajevo.

After reading that wrap-up, for those of us who get into a slump, Terry does serve as an example of a well-led life. Not all of us can have the adventures he has, but his days are certainly well-constructed to get the most and maximum from each -- indeed a great thought to keep in mind as we formulate our Resolutions for 2010.

With 2010 heralding the 20TH Year of my Creation of:

EVENTOLOGY
The Art of Event-Making
Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith's Campaigns for Humanity (C)1990

on July 25, 2010 and with over 1900 HOLIDATES that fall into 39 different categories, I will be speaking about the Top18 that have made their way into SKiN and other topics that happen to be pertinent to the conversation. You got to love radio - you can talk and sound good without putting on mascara or getting out of your jammies!

FUR-thermore:

As of today on the corner of South Blvd & Chicago Avenues in Evanston, IL, I hit the high-mark of 3900 miles. All this exercise since May 29, 2008 when I bought the Bike. Granted, it is cold and icey out here in the Greater Chicagoland area, but persevering cold weather is actually good for you -- as exercise is often neglected and walks and biking foregone when the days get shorter and colder. However, that should not be the norm because taking care of one's health is year-long activity. You eat every day. You should exercise every day. Even a stationery bike is a dynamic tool for those who do not want to ride when the temperatures begin to dip and the roads get icier. Perhaps alongside your Christmas Tree or Hanukah Bush you'll find a Bike. I hope you do.

ASK's Intl Internet Moment celebrates year 14...

Chicago, IL USA:

Sure enough - as Time clicks on by, the 14th Anniversary of my INTERNATIONAL INTERNET MOMENT (C)1995 is today -- at 3:53 PM, the time I first got online. I had this funny feeling it would lead to something...and it surely did - a phenomena that happens to so many people who feel it's the best Connecting Device since Alex G. Bell's phone.

At the time, my dear Friend BUC PANTELIS helped set the entire operation and now. 14 years later, look at us now!

I would say that I've saved more time since I can do all my Mailing via the Internet -- sending email to places that I no longer need to stand in line for...wasting valuable time. Sometimes even getting an immediate response and/or dinner date, as well.

For those older Folks who are online - they should be applauded as there are so many topics to explore, the Internet helps them keep a clear and inquisitive mind - something we could all use, whatever age we are.

Just imagine what the next 14 years will hold.

Incidentally, 2010 marks my 20TH Year Anniversary of being:

America's Premier Eventologist
&
The Premier Eventologist in The History of The World

with over 1900 HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE...The exact Date is July 25, 2010. The Countdown begins on January 1, 2010 after I finish the Script to SKiN (C)2009 which features the ever-popular GORF, Chicago's First Green Mascot.

Stay tuned.

ASK's Biking Record hits 3700 Miles.

without even leaving the County of Cook.

Imagine that.

All of this happened last Saturday while biking my way across Greater Chicagoland, I raked managed to attain 3700 miles since May 29, 2008 when I bought my latest cruiser. Not only is that a fabulous feat for a woman of my age -- 57, but the Bike served a terrific purpose on november 10th which can only be described as 'miraculous.'

While on the platform of the CTA Train, I sprained my ankle really badly. I was scheduled to cover the Veranda Magazine Show at the Merchandise Mart and would be going from showroom to showroom, which is always a treat, but this is when both ankles are working. By the end of the day, I had a swollen foot and could barely get home. Leaving the bike at the local train stop, I needed to retrieve it first, before anything else. After all, one does BOND to their bike, as a cowboy to his horse or a man to his best friend, a dog.

I managed to get to the bike and as soon as I got on the seat, biking home came as second nature -- it felt incredible -- for the only reason that I was so mobile and I managed to get back to Home within my usual 7 minute span. Of course, carrying the bike into the basement to keep it safe and secure was another story...since the nickname 'Hop-along' came to mind, but I was determined to take the bike down the 5 steps and I did.

Records and bike stories are just 2 of the wonderful things accomplishable via bikes. Start making your own trails.

Intl Skeptics Days collide with ASK's Faux Fur Fridays: November 13, 2009.

Chicago, IL USA:

I know it would happen sooner or later. That there just is not enough Days in a Year. Being 'America's Premier Eventologist,' this again holds true as We eventologically celebrate my ever- popular:

Faux Fur Fridays (C)2008 (happening each Friday throughout 2009)

with

Intl Skeptics Days (C)1995 that I created for SKEPTICS everywhere 14 years ago...after all, in this world, there is always something to be skeptical about...

along with my 3-Day Event: THE GREAT AMERICAN WARM-UP also created in 1995, a very busy and creative year, as all of mine seem to be.

Therefore, get yourself dressed up in a Faux Fur Jacket , grab an older Coat for a Homeless Shelter in order to WARM UP somebody who is not as fortunate as you are that can be given on behalf of THE GREAT AMERICAN WARM-UP (C)1995 and skeptically make your self available for a weekend that has more Holidates in it than Imelda has pairs of stilettos.

If it's FRIDAY...it's Faux Fur...

Friday, yet another one in fashion and pop art history. There's only 52 of them and as we begin November that means that only 8 more exist. Therefore, there is no time like the Present to man and woman your Fashions that deal with FAUX FUR as well as thinking of ways in which we can preserve our Wildlife, who is on the endangered species list. There are books that can be read; preserves to be visited and papers (and blogs as this one) to be written that allow us to air and post the grievances we see that need to be changed. By wearing FAUX FUR, you are sparing the life of an Innocent Animal as well as making a fashion statement. Which raises another fine point that I stress in:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

and that is in the the 3rd Section on PLANTS. And, if they do feel. Basically, different from Animals and Humans that bleed and cry, Plants do have their own system.

What November 1st Symbolizes...to 'America's Premier Eventologist'

Chicago, IL USA:

Holding that title plus:

THE PREMIER EVENTOLOGIST IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD

only mean one thing...well, exactly 1900 things that deals with events and how life should be lived. Now that we have gotten TO November - in the Northern Hemisphere - where I am based, colder weather is set to set in, but that also signals that more things can be accomplished indoors.

But do not forget to obtain your ample doses of Vitamin D - straight from the sun. Only 15 minutes are needed -- and it never hurts to plan ahead...ie: a quick trip to a sunny locale in case the weather is as unpredictable as it seems to have become due to global warming and all that entails.

Further, between yesterday and today, while Biking around the Greater Chicagoland, US of A, I again hit MY MARK - of 100 more miles. Now, the speedometer registers at 3605 miles which is Exercise's Way o fsaying that everyone can be FIT -- if you feel you are off-balanced and can't ride a 2-wheeler; there are always trikes that are a bit more cumbersome, but the effect and freedom of Biking cannot be compared. I highly recommend them -- since I have been a biking enthusiast since 1957.

Yes, November begins a full month -- not only in the Eventological Realm but in Sporting a Bike to see how far you can go. After all, November is a short month -- minus that extrea 24 hours that many other months have.

SKiN, A NOVEL: FOR SALE

ASK: ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH (a prominent Chicago Artist/Writer/Eventologist) unites 10 of the Greatest TOYS ever manufactured in Contemporary Times; adds ample Doses of Imagination, Conversation, Mystery & Merriment to find and discover profound and never before conceived Ways to remove RACISM, The Crux of Hatred, Despair & Bad (if not sinister & uncivilized) Behavior that still vehemently burns, plagues and lurks deeply in Man Today circa The 21ST Century…NOW…in the compelling 295 Page, 69,206 Word Book she incredulously penned in merely 147 Days, entitled:

SKiN: HOW 10 BELOVED PLUSH TOYS REDEFINE RACE ©2009.

Affecting us all, this Subject is brought to Life at this Pivotal Point in History via KOOPERSMITH’s unique and unwavering Blend & Brand of Communication, Experiences & Wisdom that contain a mesmerizing, yet haunting Effect that alludes to and invokes the stark Reality of RACISM and swift Realization as to how PREJUDICE can (and must) be erased by examining the prevailing Factors that make this Subject an unsuitable and unsavory Part of Man’s Make-up, Demeanor & Character. SKiN’s Text alone provides that distinct(ive) Challenge and acts as a functioning Catalyst giving The Movie Industry a Chance to address and respond to THE BOOK, One well-worth immortalizing on The Golden Screen, for Man Today and Future Generations as he humbly & peacefully resides with all Creatures on Planet Earth.

She didn't die in vein...

Chicago, IL USA: But then again, she was far to young to die AT ALL. Such is the universal feeling for the Murder of Miss Somer Thompson who was walking to school last week in a small quiet Floridian Town when she was grabbed and murdered. A total heart-ache, the story made national news as a country again is startled at what has become ALMOST a daily occurrence. This, of course, is different from inner city shootings and killings of Students going and coming from school, but then again, these acts are the taking of Life, which is not condonable.

Therefore, I sent my:

PUTTING KIDS ON BIKES' Message
of October 22, 2009 (that was merely posted on my Blog here 5 days ago)

to

President Barack Obama.

I've always been known to take my projects to the TOP. It stated:

Dear President Obama: The Murder of the Child, SOMER THOMPSON is an atrocity that must be stopped once and for all. I strongly feel I have a terrific idea on how to HELP KIDS HELP themselves as they travel (on a bike) through Life. It is posted on my blog and follows for your serious Consideration. On behalf of billions of people across the planet, I thank you. After all, we Adults who (were once children) ‘made it’ were the fortunate ones.

For those who wish to get involved in The Crusade -- as a major Bike Manufacturer -- should be involved as well as moneyed moguls who can foot the bills, as well as a Venture Capitalist who wants to work closely with me -- to develop the Concept furtehr as I devise the Literature, the time is now.

Merely email me at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

to discuss this further. A day of good news would be such a welcome(d) change.

Somer Thompson didn't have a Bike. Somer Thompson is dead...

Chicago, IL USA: Actually, the adorable Little Florida Gal was murdered. This represents yet another escalating and scalding number of horrific Deaths that I have personally witnessed the last 50 years of Kids being abducted and later butchered.

This morning, the NBC NYC Female Anchor stated at the end of her news reel some very important yet disturbing Words (that could prove to be instrumental in this case) and those were:

"No bus route. Somer had to walk to school."

As a person who has ridden a bike since age 6 (when I got my first Trike in Mendota, Illinois, a small farming community 100 miles southwest of Chicago), I cannot put a price on my WHEELS -- but I can honestly say NOW that if Somer Thompson had a Bike on that fate-ful day, she may be alive today.

Granted bus routes cannot criss-cross every home situated across America, but BIKES can, should and have...they have saved me valuable time, as well as probably 'outbiking' a Predator who did not have good intentions as to my health, wealth and safety.

This was the Thought that popped into my Mind when I heard this story unfold. IF ONLY Somer had a bike, this would NOT have happened to her...in all her Innocence and Child-like Beauty.

MY POA: PLAN OF ACTION:

What major Bike Manufacturers should now seriously consider is a Campaign called:

PUT KIDS ON BIKES
or
PUT KIDS ON WHEELS (C)2009

The Bikes do not need to be expensive. In larger Cities, Bike Theft Rings prevail - and have made Bike Robberies a major Endeavor of making extra money. What I'm talking about is expanding a Child's Horizon(s) by getting him or her their very own BIKE.

HOW EXCITING IS THAT!

They can travel to school quicker and easier as well as visit friends or go to community centers and/or grocery stores (even to the mall) -- all the while keeping the Environment GREEN and fume-free.

By being MOBILE, Young Children are less likely to be abducted by a Predator, Pedaphile and/or child molester who has a vehicle (car/van/jeep) and can sweep that 'Baby' away forever. Let's also not forget other harm that is on the street as pit bulls, that may attack if riled.

Not only is biking a means of getting to one's destination quicker, but I (for one) have taken 4 inches of baby fat from my hips by BIKING on a daily bases. Now, after 12 years of consistently riding every Day no matter what the weather happens to be doing, I say I'm both a Writer & a Rider and the 2 mix in refreshing ways.

Undoubtedly, there are areas and regions where Biking is not do-able in inclement Weather...but gosh, gee-whiz, once THE BIKE BUG has bitten you, you will find a way to bike 24/7 and year-round. It's a fun activity (a convenient compulsion) that keeps a person as free as the wind, while setting an Example for Fitness. And in extreme cases,

BIKING CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE

from evil Elements - like the one that ended Somer's Life.

In a nutshell: It only takes common sense to KNOW that it is harder to stop a Child on a bike than to grab one (physically) off a street - which is the M.O. of child predators, when they see a kid on foot. Bikes even serves Adults well who are snatched and grabbed and never come back to their loved ones and family. Let's STOP once and for all any more Somer Thompsons from getting murdered.

A CONCERNED CITIZEN's PLEA: Hey, let's ban together and get this Bike Campaign going, America. It is an excellent Idea. If it saves one kid's life (as it has saved mine on many occasions), then it has worked.

I may be contacted at:

askoopersmith(at)hotmail(dot)com

for more info - idea-tossing, etc. regarding:

PUT KIDS ON BIKES.

It's an Concept whose time is far overdue. Peddling your Way through a Safe Day is thematic in all of our Travel Bouts (through Life). I'm sure Somer would have liked it. In retrospect is OUT, Action is now demanded.

POSTED BY: ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith
Thursday, October 22, 2009 - 9:21 AM

A POSTSCRIPT follows that I penned a few moments ago that pertains to an OnLine Article from Orange Park, Florida, home of Somer Thompson.

===================

This is the saddest, saddest of all stories. I am from Chicago where Brian Dugan (a reputed Child Molester) is on trial for killing several innocent children in the mid-80s. It's taken over 25 years until justice is being served. Coincidentally, both our City Dailies: The Tribune & Sun-Times have run the cover story in picture format of 1 of the gal's who was with 1 of Dugan's murdered victims -- now a woman of 32 who is still haunted by what had happened so many years ago when she was just 8.

Being 25 years older and born in 1952 (which was considered a simpler and safer time), I distinctively remember a lifetime of innocent children being abducted and killed.

FAST FORWARDING TO TODAY. On many occasions since I moved to Chicago in May of 1974, I have been able to 'get away' -- because I ride a bike. I know this sounds terrifically 'simplistic,' but there really must be a campaign for Kids to have access in order to gain the ability and mobility to JUST BIKE AWAY FROM TROUBLE.

As Somer did -- walking to school -- although it's great exercise, if given the opportunity to BIKE, this heinous crime may not have happened. A Bike provides a child (and older person, too, of course) with the agility to GET AWAY from any predator. I thought I'd advance this theory so this does not ever happen again.

Biking is not only effective for kids, but my bike has saved my life on a few occasions when gang-bangers were after me.

Please give it some thought when you plan for your and your child's day ahead.
