Faux Fur Fridays coming your Way...

Tonight for Festivities for the 46TH FAUX FUR FRIDAY of the year, We in CLUB: FAUX FUR will be meeting at one of the Art Galleries on North Milwaukee Avenue; for dinner, shopping and sight-seeing at 6 PM sharp. With the weather getting colder, it's time to pull your best Faux Fur Wear from the closet; dry-clean it and be seen around town. Although sales tax in Chicago is horrifically high and is driving many businesses out of town as well as shoppers, that doesn't mean you can't look your best and looking your best often times is dressing up in Faux Fur. After all, Animals have been doing it for millions of years - -Man's finally gotten smart and has invented some pelts that are simply irresistible.

Contact me at: Faux(dot)Fur(dot)Fridays(at)gmail(dot)com

for inclusion in our next Big Event.

ASK's Intl Internet Moment celebrates year 14...

Chicago, IL USA:

Sure enough - as Time clicks on by, the 14th Anniversary of my INTERNATIONAL INTERNET MOMENT (C)1995 is today -- at 3:53 PM, the time I first got online. I had this funny feeling it would lead to something...and it surely did - a phenomena that happens to so many people who feel it's the best Connecting Device since Alex G. Bell's phone.

At the time, my dear Friend BUC PANTELIS helped set the entire operation and now. 14 years later, look at us now!

I would say that I've saved more time since I can do all my Mailing via the Internet -- sending email to places that I no longer need to stand in line for...wasting valuable time. Sometimes even getting an immediate response and/or dinner date, as well.

For those older Folks who are online - they should be applauded as there are so many topics to explore, the Internet helps them keep a clear and inquisitive mind - something we could all use, whatever age we are.

Just imagine what the next 14 years will hold.

Incidentally, 2010 marks my 20TH Year Anniversary of being:

America's Premier Eventologist
&
The Premier Eventologist in The History of The World

with over 1900 HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE...The exact Date is July 25, 2010. The Countdown begins on January 1, 2010 after I finish the Script to SKiN (C)2009 which features the ever-popular GORF, Chicago's First Green Mascot.

Stay tuned.

ASK's Biking Record hits 3700 Miles.

without even leaving the County of Cook.

Imagine that.

All of this happened last Saturday while biking my way across Greater Chicagoland, I raked managed to attain 3700 miles since May 29, 2008 when I bought my latest cruiser. Not only is that a fabulous feat for a woman of my age -- 57, but the Bike served a terrific purpose on november 10th which can only be described as 'miraculous.'

While on the platform of the CTA Train, I sprained my ankle really badly. I was scheduled to cover the Veranda Magazine Show at the Merchandise Mart and would be going from showroom to showroom, which is always a treat, but this is when both ankles are working. By the end of the day, I had a swollen foot and could barely get home. Leaving the bike at the local train stop, I needed to retrieve it first, before anything else. After all, one does BOND to their bike, as a cowboy to his horse or a man to his best friend, a dog.

I managed to get to the bike and as soon as I got on the seat, biking home came as second nature -- it felt incredible -- for the only reason that I was so mobile and I managed to get back to Home within my usual 7 minute span. Of course, carrying the bike into the basement to keep it safe and secure was another story...since the nickname 'Hop-along' came to mind, but I was determined to take the bike down the 5 steps and I did.

Records and bike stories are just 2 of the wonderful things accomplishable via bikes. Start making your own trails.

Intl Skeptics Days collide with ASK's Faux Fur Fridays: November 13, 2009.

Chicago, IL USA:

I know it would happen sooner or later. That there just is not enough Days in a Year. Being 'America's Premier Eventologist,' this again holds true as We eventologically celebrate my ever- popular:

Faux Fur Fridays (C)2008 (happening each Friday throughout 2009)

with

Intl Skeptics Days (C)1995 that I created for SKEPTICS everywhere 14 years ago...after all, in this world, there is always something to be skeptical about...

along with my 3-Day Event: THE GREAT AMERICAN WARM-UP also created in 1995, a very busy and creative year, as all of mine seem to be.

Therefore, get yourself dressed up in a Faux Fur Jacket , grab an older Coat for a Homeless Shelter in order to WARM UP somebody who is not as fortunate as you are that can be given on behalf of THE GREAT AMERICAN WARM-UP (C)1995 and skeptically make your self available for a weekend that has more Holidates in it than Imelda has pairs of stilettos.

If it's FRIDAY...it's Faux Fur...

Friday, yet another one in fashion and pop art history. There's only 52 of them and as we begin November that means that only 8 more exist. Therefore, there is no time like the Present to man and woman your Fashions that deal with FAUX FUR as well as thinking of ways in which we can preserve our Wildlife, who is on the endangered species list. There are books that can be read; preserves to be visited and papers (and blogs as this one) to be written that allow us to air and post the grievances we see that need to be changed. By wearing FAUX FUR, you are sparing the life of an Innocent Animal as well as making a fashion statement. Which raises another fine point that I stress in:

SKiN: How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race (C)2009

and that is in the the 3rd Section on PLANTS. And, if they do feel. Basically, different from Animals and Humans that bleed and cry, Plants do have their own system.

What November 1st Symbolizes...to 'America's Premier Eventologist'

Chicago, IL USA:

Holding that title plus:

THE PREMIER EVENTOLOGIST IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD

only mean one thing...well, exactly 1900 things that deals with events and how life should be lived. Now that we have gotten TO November - in the Northern Hemisphere - where I am based, colder weather is set to set in, but that also signals that more things can be accomplished indoors.

But do not forget to obtain your ample doses of Vitamin D - straight from the sun. Only 15 minutes are needed -- and it never hurts to plan ahead...ie: a quick trip to a sunny locale in case the weather is as unpredictable as it seems to have become due to global warming and all that entails.

Further, between yesterday and today, while Biking around the Greater Chicagoland, US of A, I again hit MY MARK - of 100 more miles. Now, the speedometer registers at 3605 miles which is Exercise's Way o fsaying that everyone can be FIT -- if you feel you are off-balanced and can't ride a 2-wheeler; there are always trikes that are a bit more cumbersome, but the effect and freedom of Biking cannot be compared. I highly recommend them -- since I have been a biking enthusiast since 1957.

Yes, November begins a full month -- not only in the Eventological Realm but in Sporting a Bike to see how far you can go. After all, November is a short month -- minus that extrea 24 hours that many other months have.
