ASK's comm-ANT-ary on Day #23 of: ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTL ©2010

Tuesday, August 23, 2011 is Day 23 of the Second Global Celebration of:

ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL©2010

Said HOLIDATE® is being staged for Today & the Remainder of August only because ANTS are as ANTeresting as can be, not BEE. That’s another Species, Folks.

As one of the leading ANTS in my Books & Movie Scripts explains:

“There’s no need for us ANTS to be domesticated in our social system. WE are advANTSed far beyond domestication. WE fare very well ‘The Way’ WE are, as WE ANTS were created so long ago before ‘long’ became a standard Human vocabulary word and before Human domestication turned other species into dependANTS, not independANTS. Indeed, domestication is one workable definition of slavery. Domestication is getting along with and being subserviANT to creatures in one’s domain that prevail in a variety of ways, many of which can be caustic for the health & welfare of less well-arm(our)ed and well-suited life forms. Our actions (if seriously observed by all other species including Humans) are the building blocks of how a cellular civilization should be operated, cell-by-cell. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, WE ANTS are far more civilized than much LARGER species living here on Planet Earth, proving size or brawniness and SKiN color have never mattered when judging the character of a character.”

You can’t say it much better than that in 162 words!

Cheers,

is a return to The Internet to see what other ANT Facts can be discovered since Kids (of all ages) are usually partial and prone to these:

We find that: The animal with the largest brain in proportion to its size is the ANT. They are known to be the smartest species of insects with about 250,000 brain cells.

That reminds me of the Quote: Never underestimate a person or other creature due to their Size. ANT-eresting for sure!

ANT Appreciation Month, Intl ©2010 - kicks-off August 1, 2011

Monday, AUGUST 1, 2011

It’s au-GUST-o, Nature Lovers & that means only 1 thing. It’s the Kick-of of the 2ND Global Celebration of:

ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL ©2010

that I invented to pay Tribute to the ANTS that make our Life as bountiful as it is. In order to celebrate, U R encouraged to go out and have Picnics in your backyard; front yard; roof-tops; park districts, out there in the woods – but make sure U have plenty of Extras & Fixings 4 THE ANTS who may drop by.

Thruout August of 2011, I will also be posting Fun-Strange-Weird ANT Facts with a little help from my Myrmecology Friends like the noted Dr. James C. Trager, who is an ANT Expert. And our first Fact of relev-ANTS is derived from http://bit.ly/ntwZib:

An ant brain has about 250 000 brain cells. A human brain has 10,000 million so a colony of 40,000 ants has collectively the same size brain as a human.

Bet U didn’t know that!
