Chicago, IL USA: 38 Fridays ago, I lauched the first of an ongoing year-long series called:

FAUX FUR FRIDAYS (C)2009

in order to acknowledge Members of the Animal Kingdom that have added so much color and pattern to our world. Not only that -- FAUX means 'unreal' and it is unreal how people are still wearing Animal Pelts. FAUX FUR FRIDAYS (C)2009 is to acknowledge that with the vast array of beautiful man-made materials at our very fingertips -- the killing and slaughtering of Animals -- many on the endangered species list can be reduced. After all, EXTINCTION is forever. Therefore, think before you eat that steak or decide to go on a hunting safari of deepest Africa. Once gone, Nature is gone permanently.
