IMAGINE THESE SCENARIOS IF YOU CAN:
You wake up one morning, flick on the TV (1 of the 3 top National Broadcasting Stations, at that) and suddenly see your Eighteen (18) year old Copyrighted HOLIDATE made into a TV Commercial without your prior Knowledge, Permission, Acknowledgment or Compensation. INFURIATION sets in.
137 Days later, you wake up one morning, flick on the TV (1 of the 3 top National Broadcasting Stations, at that) and suddenly again you see more of your Copyrighted Material – this Time a TV Script – made into a TV Commercial without your prior Knowledge, Permission, Acknowledgment, Credit or Payment, by the same Company. INFURIATION sets in again that turns to RETALIATION.
This agonizing Set of EVENTS happened to me within a Five (5) Month Period (from January to May of 2012).
This Crime against Modern Literature was committed by the same ruthless Chicago-based Business Enterprise (consisting of Eleven (11) Showrooms estimated at $102,000,000) now labeled as: Serial Copyright Infringers – or Repeat Offenders) along with an Accomplice, a renowned Rock Musician (whose estimated Value is between $10,000,000-$25,000,000).
What do you do?
What would you do?
There’s only Avenue to take. As a Natural Born Writer since Birth who sees the vast Potential in this STORY as a Means to inform and subsequently open more Doors of Opportunity to one and all, this Sequence of EVENTS is a General Interest STORY that affects every Creatif (Creator) everywhere. Therefore, only one logical Step and Course exists. Writing-it-out and taking Control of a dire Situation comprises the Duo-Purpose of this newly-created Crusade (inclusive of Books, Articles, Tours and Radio, TV, Press & Web Interviews for starters) in order to ‘save and preserve’ Modern Literature.
After all, this Material was overtly stolen and placed on TV, not only ONCE but TWICE for Financial Gain, Exposure & Recognition but claimed as ‘their own’ - its rightful Proprietor(s) which also constitutes Perjury.
As seen in one light: This verifies that my Words & Works are truly commercial in the strictest Sense of ‘The Word.’ Clearly seeing the Components involved here (initiated from these Crises), several noteworthy Chapters stand on their own as Excerpts & Articles:
- Two (2) serious & thought-provoking Platforms (based on Acronyms) have been developed and detailed;
- Sixteen (16) relevant and all-encompassing Dynamics pinpoint what occurs psychologically, financially, culturally, literally and socially when a Catastrophe of this Nature happens to the Creatif and subsequently, the Community-at-large;

SPOTTING A TREND: While experiencing these ‘Crimes Against Literature,’ simultaneously, the Number of IP: Intellectual Property Lawyers were mushrooming across Chicago (as those swelling Statistics are increasing in every other Major and Secondary Marketplace, as well). Via a Headcount of 43 Law Firms in January of 2012; the Number rose to 55 in March of 2012 and now the Demographic is peaking at 1503 IP: Intellectual Property Attorneys as of Mid-June, 2012. Evidently, a great Demand for their Services exists. This is my Case Study…a First (of its kind) to set a Precedence and Crusade for the Rights of CONTENT Producers.
My Hope is that it (or one similar) never happens to you.
According to the above culled Statistics cited, the Crime of Copyright Infringement (and all it legally entails) is not diminishing. This Tort is the deadliest and most harmful, damaging, adverse and sweeping Threat to the Written Word, Literature and Global CONTENT.
What I wish to call to your Attention today via this eNote is that as Writers and Authors (like myself) the urgent Need to address Copyright Infringement, Conversion of Intellectual Property, Misappropriation of Material, Plagiarism and Piracy (as it pertains to us all) is NOW.
In March of 2012, one Attorney I consulted with cited Seven (7) Premises why this Case could make Landmark Strides in the Fight against Copyright Infringement. From the Creatif’s PoV: Point of View, I see others that I have itemized in my Five (5)-Month Investigation.
The Perpetuation of LIES to their Audiences & Viewers (as activated by 1 of the 3 major TV Networks in the USA) makes for a tremendous Study (in Law Schools and Journalism Classes) as well as ensuing Article by any and every Publication that hires Writers. That Body includes every Media.
In our current Climate, it appears that if an Advertiser has Big Bucks, anything can be aired without having the Facts checked, destroying the Livelihood of the Originator (the Copyright Owner) in an Assortment of Ways that is all explained in my forthcoming eBook.
Therefore, Copyright Infringement must be halted. A perplexing Catch-22 exists here. To promote our ‘Goods & Services,’ our CONTENT and INPUT are consistently sent to the leading Media Outlets for Recognition & Exposure that leads to Sales and further Marketing Opportunities. Driven by TV Commercials (who comprise the TV Network’s Paying Advertisers), ruthless Companies then produce CONTENT and INPUT that is not theirs; thus robbing the Creatif without acknowledging, accrediting, compensating or obtaining their Permission.
But how Works & Words are handled (or mishandled) is yet ‘Another STORY’ – a STORY that is now Part & Parcel of my EVENTOLOGY Empire; a STORY that I am exposing Today for the Continuation & Future of Society and what We hold Dearest:
THE EVENTS OF OUR LIVES.
THE BOTTOM LINE REMAINS: Who doesn’t write these Days? There isn’t One Writer on the Planet who would not stand behind me as THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION knows that Creativity is a Gift, a Talent that few possess and must be completely protected.

There needs to be a Reassurance in which ‘The People’ will know that the Daily Improvements (that Writing of every Genre provides) shall continue to be with us and for us…not destroy us.
