National Splurge Day’s #The Daily Splurge #156 for Monday, November 24, 2014 is an ASKian Quote:

“The Thriftier you are, the more you can spend on National Splurge Day’s latest Spinoff called DAYS OF THE SPLURGE(s) ©2014 that occurs on the 18TH of each Month, as the Original National Splurge Day ©1994 kicked in on June 18. True to form(at), DOTS coincides and perpetuates the Ideology behind this Holidate as set forth by ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, The Queen of Splurge and Creator/Founder of National Splurge Day & The Daily Splurge.”
As a Prime Example to illustrate how this works (effectively and for the most), the most convenient SPLURGE to make that saves Time & Money both is to:

Drink Your Coffee At Home ®.
The DYCAH Affect works by this Formula:

There are 365 Days in a Year (not including Leap Year).  If a Person spends $2 for a Cup of Coffee (and most times that Cup costs much more as well as the Time it takes to stop, pay the Parking Meter and run in for that Cup), the Total Expense is $730 a Year. This is an extremely Low-End Figure.

FOLGERS TO THE RESCUE:

Now, examine a Can of Coffee (1 lb. and 11.8 oz.) that makes up to 240 (6 Fluid Ounce Cups) of Coffee.  A Container of this Proportion is often on Sale for $7.00 at most Major Food Outlets and Discount Stores.  Therefore, the Price of your Morning Coffee is 2.91666666667 Cents (or roughly 3 Cents) per Cup, compared to $2 or more if purchased at a Café.

Then, multiply (your Savings of) $1.97 X 365 (Days in the Year) and your Savings is now: $719.05.

Within the Course of that Year, possibly 10 Cannisters of Coffee will be purchased dependent on how much of The Brew is consumed. Subtract $70 for the Total Costs of the Blend which leads to:

$649.05

It’s assumed you have a Cup in order to drink from.  Add in Creams, Sugar, Sweeteners in for an additional $100 that equates now to:

$546.05

$546.05 is a tremendous Savings!  Some People (especially those in Third World Countries who make less than $2 a Day) will buy many additional Splurges, but that again is yet another Edition of THE DAILY SPLURGE. OR you can donate that $546.05 to a Needy Cause.

“Splurge on to others as you’d want others to splurge on to you’ is an imperative of NSD.”

#Saving_To_Splurge is a Valuable Method in which to train Children that Spending should be viewed as a Responsibility, not as something frivolous.  The Money Tree does not always bloom and preparing for a SPLURGE takes Thinking before that Time and Money are utilized to the Best of all Means.
