The Daily Splurge: Volume 4 - Issues #164+ via ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, The Queen of Splurge & Creator of National Splurge Day ©1994. Issues December, 2014 – February 2015.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #163 for Monday, December 1, 2014 shows that there is a Thin Line between Splurging & Splicing.  Visiting a Friend who edits Film, I received a Lesson in what it takes to edit Film, something I never had seen before.  Although it’s better to accumulate and splurge on a lot of Material, at the end of the Story/Movie or Day, there’s only so much that’s relevant that anyone wants to concern themselves with.  On the Cutting Floor is how Words & Scenes both end up; eventually, but in the Meantime, each Time Frame is an Indicator of what happened that preserves itself for the ‘Next Big Splurge’ and how it will be spliced and remembered in your Mind in the years ahead – if it is at all.  Deemed as mighty heavy duty thinking for the First of December, #Cyber_Monday when many Online Shoppers splurge their Way into Debt, but it’s their Prerogative. Outsplurging the next Guy or Gal is sometimes an addicting Way to find Acceptance.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #164 for Tuesday, December 2, 2014 is perhaps the most wonderful SPLURGE DAY of the Month as its TOYSday and now that Christmas will be here in 23 days, there’s no time like the PRESENT than to buy your PRESENTS in the Presence of some of the major TOY Companies in the world.  Not only are they online where you can shop easily for them, but if you really want to pull a SPLURGE-O-RAMA (a hefty SPLURGE) costing $100,000 or more, then it’s time to board a private jet and go anywhere you wish to go to buy those Toys, Whistles and Bells.  I need not say anymore…after reading 163 of these DAILY SPLURGES, I’m sure you know how I feel about having my TOYS and playing with them, too (or more)

ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith is available to promote your Product and Brand.  Email her at:

for Inquiries - Questions - and/or to interview her for more info on ATS:  All Things Splurge and her latest Endeavor: Book & Script:  Santa Is Retiring.  #Santa_Is_Retiring in pure Twitterese.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #165 for Wednesday, December 3, 2014 is ASK's new Anti-Splurging Laws whose top Three (3) Statutes are:

1)  Do not splurge on Pay Day;
2) Do not splurge when UTi: Under The influence (of whatever the Vice is); and
3) Do not imitate 'The Jones' - Celebrities or the 'well-to-do' when 'The Urge to Splurge' takes over.

More will be added as many of us rush into the Buying Season known as Chanukah - Christmas - Kwanzaa now, only to wake up on January 2, 2015 to realize that most of those Purchases were made in vein...i.e.: The Juggular Vein, at that.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #166 for Thursday, December 4, 2014 is ‘The Basis’ of what is in the Heart and at the Core of all of us at #Splurge_Central.  The World of Chocolate is holding their Annual Event in which Chocolate Samples are concocted by some of the top Chocolatiers across Chicago.  Too many to list by Name, once you get a Choco-Morsel in your Mouth, you will never be the same aGAIN, nor will your Weight & Waist Line. But it’s worth ‘The Wait’ as you can always exercise like a Triathlete months before this popular Event.  After all, 5 Months ago, Today was the 4TH of July, Independence Day #238, a good a Point as any in which to try to keep as healthy as you can for as long as you can.  Chocolate contains that ‘Special Something’ that makes any Event a Festival and is now considered Healthy-For-You with Antioxidants being in the Food and Nutrition Spotlight. So sweet.

Held Today on Thursday, December 4 at Union Station Hall, 210 South Canal in Chicago at 6 PM the Entry Fee is $125.  Aidschicago.com is the Beneficiary. When you can take what you would splurge on and delegate/designate it to a good Cause as Disease Prevention, that’s the true Essence of what Humanity is all about and one of the Tenets of YoTS: Years of The Splurges, part and parcel of NSD.

After all,

“Splurge on to Others as you’d want others to splurge on to you.”

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #167 for Friday, December 5, 2014 is a Historical Accounting of what it was like to #splurge 30 years ago.  This is in honor of my Best Friend’s Son who turns 30 Today, meaning his Dad has now been a Father 30 times, officially.  30 Years ago Today in 1984, I was 32 and was the First Woman Rock Promoter living and based out of Chicago, the 3rd largest cosmo-metropolitan City in the USA.  “A Time of like it’s totally 80s” is the Expression and how the Internet tells us it was, in hip jive Lingo.  The most FUN Part about exploring our History and Historical Past is the Prices of  Merchandise ‘back in the Day.’  Of course, Salaries were lower (but never equal), and if those Prices were to return, that would mean more Money for a bigger Financial Splurge, which really is the one and only Thing that’s allowable on ‘Big Birthdays’ as these. After all, a Guy doesn’t turn 30 every Day. Moreover, when that Date on a Friday, it spells out that he has the entire Weekend as an Excuse to celebrate that significant Event.  Let’s just hope ‘The Mother’ has her Figure back by now.

Mental Floss posted a List of 30 Topics (not 30 People) who turn 30 in 2014 online at:

For that, plus more, you can turn to AARP no matter if your Birthdaying today or just need yet another Urge-To-Splurge on the Eccentricities of being plugged in and wired up.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #168 for Saturday, December 6, 2014 is a Warning to take time out this busy Holiday Season (when Theft & Murder is up) to take special care and precautions.  On my Way to a Splurgerrific Weekend in which to get caught up on the Splurges REH & I had to make in the Middle of our Morning, we received an urgent Phone Call from the Building Supervisor.  He told us that within less a city block from Home a Murder had taken place last night around 8 PM and that We should be leery and on our guard.  Therefore, let this DS: Daily Splurge serve as a Warning to those walking in quiet, subdued Neighborhoods to walk in three’s and if necessary, trust your Gut Instinct.  One of the students approached thought his attacker wielded a play gun.  When the bullet went off, aimed at his chest, he suddenly learned that it wasn’t, dead on the spot.  Mall Parking Lots are where Criminals lay in ambush.  Check the Windows of your Car/Van to make sure no one is hiding in wait.  Taking a few Precautions can add years on to your life.  It’s that easy to do so that when you do go out to SPLURGE, it’s your BOY: Best One Yet.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #169 for Sunday, December 7, 2014 is a Tribute and or Introduction to Duke Fulco di Verdura, the Sicilian Jewelry Maker who happened to associate with Coco Chanel (1883- 1971), the French Fashion Designer who became popular in both the Paris Literary and Artistic Worlds.  Coca may best remembered as being Creator of the LBD: Little Black Dress.

Deciding to reinvent her Look, Duke di Verdura thus created for himself a Reputation in the Fine Jewelry Industry that later catered to ‘The Stars’ when Movie Making was just beginning. Opening his First Salon on Fifth Avenue in New York and established in 1939, this Move correlated to a Time when Stories of every Possibility were tearing the World apart, yet something extraordinary was happening in Fashion and The Arts that would later be unrivaled.

Shortly thereafter, with the Advent of the Television Set, this catapulted (t)his Visibility further to Super-Stardom as more and more People became hooked on the High Intensity that only the Screen could provide.

And, how did I know that? By watching my Favorite Weekly TV Program, CBS Sunday with Charles Osgood, Lee Cowan, Mo Rocca, Anthony Mason, Martha Teichner  and The Tracey Smith (amongst other Prime Time  Journalists) who always introduce HOT & HAUTE Topics that I should either be focused on and/or educated about.

Nora O’Donnell of CBS This Morning (Monday-Friday) hosted this particular Segment [whose Eyes are as crystal blue as the Blue Iced Diamonds she showed us during that Interview].   We all have our favorite Verdura’s.  Whoopi Goldberg favors Moonstone in her Jewelry.  Therefore, when it comes to The Art and Act of Splurging as The Queen of Splurge and Founder/Originator of:

(now marking its 20TH Year ABC: Anniversary – Birthday - Celebration)

(Commemorated from 2014-2019 for NSD’s 20-25TH ABCs)

knowing where to get that IDI: Intel/Data/Info is as vitally incremental and important as splurging itself when ‘The Urge to Splurge’ overtakes you.  Verdura brings that out in a Person and has for the last 75 years marking their Diamond Anniversary now.

Peering at ‘The Calendar,’ tiz the Season for that with each and every Turn made.  The ‘Returns’ (not necessarily defined as the Regifting and Resifting now) on having that Input in your Data Bank and close-at-hand, cannot be measured.

As Ms. Chanel once said:  “I never wanted to weigh more heavily on a Man than a Bird.”  To which I would say: “Why do that when your Jewelry can?”

THEREFORE:  The Underlying Lesson and Moral to be learned from this CBS Sunday Segment of Sunday, December 7, 2014 (the 73RD Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day) simply is:

Duke Verdura did not need to make Jewelry. He lived in a Comfort Zone, a Life of Luxury, most of us never even dream (of).   However, he did and because of his Artistry, look at the Lives he touched by doing so and, even 36 years after his Death (in 1978) and now upon the 75TH Anniversary of

Verdura: The Master Jeweler,

the Story still continues to inspire a Legacy that sparkles; takes one’s breath away and attracts entire New Generations of  Collectors and Fanfare.  ‘Looking good just got better’ because of him.  How nice it would have been to have known him.

Verdura at 75 will be the most important retrospective exhibition in the history of the company and will be open to the public from October 14 thru December 23 at 745 Fifth Avenue, in a new gallery space adjacent to the company’s flagship. The exhibition will feature a selection of more than 150 of Duke Fulco di Verdura’s original jewels and objets d’art as well as a small selection of his 10,000 gouache jewelry designs, archival materials, his personal miniature paintings, and rare period photographs.

Yet another Reason to visit New York…as if you needed yet another one.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #170 for Monday, December 8, 2014 asks a simple topical and climate question:   Can Daydreaming and Splurging go hand-in-hand? In this case, they can, do and should. On this cold and blistery day in Chicago, I glanced at the Patio Restaurant Sign, hanging above the street, swinging slightly in the wind. It signaled a time when People ate out; and enjoyed the Outdoor Creature Comforts of having your own Patio.  Dining in the Sun.  At this time of year in colder places during the first full week in December, that’s not going to happen. That’s where the Daydreaming comes in.  And, for those who wish to put Action to Thought, just google ‘Patio’ to give your spot in the sun, a splash of a fancier look.  If you do that, you can say you had your Daydream and Splurge, too.

The Daily Splurge #171 for Tuesday, December 9, 2014 marks my 62ND Year & 4th Month Mark while passing through Time, as it goes along its Merry Way for the Month of December, heavily clad or cladden in an array of Holiday Festivities.  One of the most understated Purchases that should be made before Party Revelers come over to your Abode is that of Paint.  Wall Paint.  With enough time to paint those Walls, today (merely the 9th of DecemBURR) is the Day to change Colors; change your Room's Attitude, Feel and Look and liven up those 4 Corners.  Take down the Pictures. Scrub the Walls down.  Let dry.  Replace (or better yet) find something else to replace those former Masterpieces with. I suggest the Array of Artists who are found on Twitter or Facebook are thrilling enough to add that variety of Pizzazz to your rooms' surrounding. Some of their Artistry is totally supreme and relatively undiscovered as they use those Social Media Formats as their Movable Screens instead of brick and mortar galleries, being able to touch People across the World and finding a new Audience wherever they post. With the Help and Assistance of total Strangers, they can make a Living and make your Wall stand out, as it should, during this relatively dull and lifeless time -- Winter, in many parts of our Planet.  Painting + Splurging?  Sure, the 2 go together via the QoS: Queen of Splurge.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #172 for December 10, 2014 addresses the SPIN ON SPLURGE.  Could it really be that hard to write about what and how People splurge?  Do you need an Insight on Human Nature and what makes people tick-tock.  What if People are stingy and cannot bring themselves around to SPLURGING?  Then, what happens?  Are We up against a Brick Wall?  What if there are no suitable Trends that seem to fit what we want to splurge on?  Does that mean that splurging is no longer popular?  Since Splurging is an ‘Action Activity’ a Variety of Factors go into the Art & Act of Splurging; however, it’s what you make it, like everything else in life.  As the Creator/ /Founder/Owner/Promoter of National Splurge Day ©1994, now in its 20TH Year, NSD is a continual Work-In-Progress (in development) and has become an interesting Take on how People behave and misbehave when it comes to Items they  need; think they need; and/or are urged to purchase.  As the Decades advance, those Factors do change. Therefore, there is always something to score about this Pastime that has become much more than Spurging, but a Conscious Choice We make, even at a Subliminal Level.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #173 for December 11, 2014 urges you to work on your Dreams, although you may be distracted. This is the First Step in order to have secured for yourself enough Finances and/or Time in which you can pursue your Splurges, whatever they may be.  If you put in more Time during the Course of a Day in lieu of ‘doing something else,’ chances are the Benefits and returns will come back and work in your favor.  Such was the case with one of my Special Projects, a Book, Movie, Stage Play and set of coffee mugs that I am ‘developing out.’  Now a month old, I’m happy to say that this morning, #SANTA_IS_RETIRING ©2014 got 1978 Blog Hits. In the back of my mind was that I’d love to hit 2000 by the time I end my day at 5 PM.  I worked it.  Santa is used to hard work, as we all know and I just discovered that the BLOG count is now 2,121 that far superseded the 22 Readers I needed. Of course, this can be applied to any industry and project/brand.  Give yourself that extra time for R&D; Research and development. Then, sit back and let the good times roll.  You may even surprise yourself.
National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #174 for Friday, December 12, 2014 is a Dream-Come-True. Repeat after me.

There’s no Place like Dubai!

There’s no Place like Dubai!

In Dubai, a Mall is dedicated to Shoes and nothing but shoes.  Covering 29,000 Square Feet, this Story was the feature of early morning news-reels.  I wonder how many Pairs one can fit into that amount of Space. They didn’t say how many football fields this would cover, but sports fans can figure that one out. Google just informed me of these Stats:  300,000 Shoes in 1500 Styles and is touted as the largest Store of its kind anywhere in the World As the Queen of Splurge, I would whole-heartedly love to chat more about the Art & Act of Splurging, but I found my Nirvana now…

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #175 for Saturday, December 13, 2014 sometimes doesn’t seem right or write, but it is a ROP: RITE OF PASSAGE when the Stars line up for us to take MORE time off in which to splurge.  That’s because today’s date in sequential order is:

December 13, 2014…

For those of us who were up at 9:10:11 AM and again at 9:10:11 PM we can then say that the Sequence reads as:

This Phenomena will not happen again –i.e.: we must patiently wait for 89 years for that to occur. Therefore, sometimes, the SPLURGE you create is one that is timely, in more than one way.  Granted tiz the holiday season to splurge, this is yet another ASKian Alternative and We do like those, don’t we!

THEREFORE, on the Count of:  9-10-11-12-13-14, get ready to SPLURGE!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #176 for Sunday, December 14, 2014 a free for all Day in which any Number of Splurges can be taken. If the Weather is nice(r) than usual where you live; take Advantage of that Meteorological Phenomena since it doesn’t happen often enough. If you’ve been clipping Coupons in order to save in order to splurge elsewhere, it’s the time to do just that. Cash in. If it’s time to price-out those Gifts for upcoming Holidays, today is the Day to do it.  Why?  Because it’s getting close to Chanukah – Christmas – Kwanzaa (in less than 2 Weeks) and if you do not have your Ducks and Dollars lined up in a Row (neat and tidy) then you won’t be prepared for what can turn out to be the Better Deal on the Block.  The Oldest SPLURGE Ode is:  The more you save on one thing; the more you can spend on another. It’s just the Law of Nature – the Nature of Money.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #177 for Monday, December 15, 2014 appears as a Blog (as well as a THE DAILY SPLURGE Issue) entitled:

A brief, but imperative 512 Words via the Queen of Splurge, ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith on how to ReGift those Splurges-of-Yesterday for Today’s Holiday Presents. It’s easy. It’s quick. Better yet: They will never know…

Dateline: The Ides of December, 2014

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #177 for Monday, December 15, 2014 is something you do not want to hear about. It’s getting very, very close to the End of the Year and it’s time for your SPLURGE CLEANUP OF THE YEAR (SCOTY). Any year, you choose. Some of you may not have been too anxious to keep up with those Yearly Splurges. Now as 2014 ends, there’s been a Record 20 years of NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY happening since 1994. That’s historical and hysterical both, deciding on what side of the Boutique, Mall and Charge Card you are on. Hopefully, you’ve been keeping up with all the SPLURGES you’ve made that you didn’t need so that you can ‘ReGift’ those now and thus save Time, Money and Effort doing the BUY –BUY – BUY Thang that so many active Consumers are caught up into. Look at it this way: With all that STUFF lying around and the New Year coming in, don’t you really want to clean up (your act)? Don’t you really need to clean it up? That’s the General Observation I’ve been making the last 60+ years.
If not, that’s totally your Decision (alone), as there are no Clues here, but as Calendars go, only have 16 Days remain and not even that Amount since 4 of those Days are Party Times. If We count in the 7 Days of Kwanzaa, that takes up 5 more Days. The Bottom Line is: I am here to help you ‘Splurge Smarter,’ being the Conscience of Splurging-at-large, small and any Way you can or want to DO IT!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #178 for Tuesday, December 16, 2014 deals with overindulging as We are now on Day #1 of Chanukah with a Countdown of 9 Days till Christmas; 10 more Days to Kwanzaa and 15 Days till New Years Eve & New Years Day. Quite a Packet of FUN lies ahead for us (all). But it's still a time to be #Responsible & #Observant.  With that in mind and all the Frolicking – Foods and Fun Times that the Holidays encompass and offer, bear in the very back of your mind that you want to enter the New Year as healthy as you can be.  Emulate the Squirrel who stores things away for a Rainy Day.  Splurge, but mindfully so.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #179 for Wednesday, December 17, 2014 highlights the new Splurgian Acronym:

WASKSO ™:  What   Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith Splurges On

that has the POW-tential of becoming the next new Feature as NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY ©1994 turns 26 years old in Mid-2015.  Therefore, there’s got to be new Angles and Slants in which to report the latest on Splurging. As We know, SPLURGING is a State of Mind and now, more than ever before, as I promote: It’s the SPLURGES & Indulgences that you do for others (who are less fortunate) that are the most  endearing of all, even if it is not the Holiday Season in which to buy and spend.  Therefore, the Act of Splurging is more of an Art that can only be defined as:

Splurge Speak.

No Complaints welcomed.

As there is always something to splurge on about or for People, Pets and the Good Times ahead.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #180 for Thursday, December 18, 2014 marks the 20TH & ½ Year ABC: Anniversary – Birthday – Celebration.  This means in 3 days, THE DAILY SPLURGE – National Splurge Day’s accompanying Newsletter is 6 months old, ladled and saturated in 182.5 days.  That means in 6 months, the hardcopy book will be released. For card-toting NSD Members, the top SPLURGES will be pictured (for a price) that is bound to draw the Media in from both near and afar although Chciago is considered the CAPITOL OF SPLURGE since it is my: THE QUEEN OF SPLURGE’s hometown for the last 40 years as of July 4, 2014.  Splurgory – which is the term for

Is a most exciting time for SPLURGE and NON-SPLURGERS, both as National Splurge Day is part of my

Literary Genre that I introduced to the World on July 25, 1990.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #181 for Friday, December 19, 2014 glorifies Friday as the Kickstart to every weekend as well as the Countdown to Christmas itself and Day 4 of Chanukah, where SPLURGES equate to Activities that are FUN & FREE and; therefore, the Adventure is ‘on your Shoulders’ to FIDI:  Find It. Do It.  Starting now…

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #182 for Saturday, December 20, 2014 pays homage to the last Saturday before Christmas that is rated as one of the top Shopping and therefore, Splurging Days of the Year.  Keeping that in mind, there's got to be Days known as:
The Sunday Before Christmas;
The Monday Before Christmas;
The Tuesday Before Christmas;
The Wednesday Before Christmas;
The Thursday Before Christmas; and
The Friday Before Christmas
for all the Pro and Concrastinators 'out there' who wait for the last Minute.  Sometimes, Last Minutes are the best as the 'top' deal can be struck, but then again, the anxiety and stress may not be worth it.  It depends, of course, on you:  The Shopper - The Splurger as to what Path you wish to take.  When the 'Take' is that awesome, it's reassuring to know that there is a SOLID WEEK (as Koopersmith delineates above) in which this is allowable...

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #183 for Sunday, December 21, 2014 reflects a Monumental Date that spans all the Seasons, simply because it is the Start of a New Season, Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer in the Southern Hemisphere.  Marking the First Day of Winter in the USA, it is also the Sixth (6TH) Month Anniversary of THE DAILY SPLURGE ©2014 that was launched on the First Day of Spring half a year ago in order to reflect the Strides that ASK’s NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY ©1994 made the last 20 years with its ABC: Anniversary – Birthday – Celebration occurring on the 18TH of June.  With 6 Months of tight Splurging Concepts and Actions successfully completed, more is in-store for you for the next 6 Months, although in Winter, many of the purely active and rigorous Splurges do not occur.  This year, primarily December 31, 2014 at 11:59 PM also marks the Fact that the last Baby Boomer turns 50; therefore, a huge Shift in the Demographics makes a relevant Mark.  Splurging does not slow down though as We age.  Splurging just takes on a Life of its own as the Life of the Party in which it is a Part, and not apart.  With the Commencement of Winter, bear in mind this is the time to build something (new).  Create Value in what you are doing.  The most important Property of National Splurge Day ©1994 is how diversified this Holidate has become to reflect an ever-changing World and to encompass all People no matter how much Splurging means or does not mean to them or the amount of Splurging they intend to make.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #184 for Monday, December 22, 2014 will be a SPLURGE unlike any and all others ever created by ASK: THE QUEEN OF SPLURGE & Creator/Founder of National Splurge Day ©1994 and The Daily Splurge ©2014, now 6 months old.  It is a national cry-out and shout-out to make sure that all POLICE CARS – AMBULANCES & PADDY WAGONS are manufactured with Bullet Proof Glass. In light of the two police Officers slain in Brooklyn this past weekend, it appears to be a mandatory order of the day.  This Revelation came to me yesterday and I created its first Tweet and sent that to Car Manufacturers in order that they can help push through this Motion.  Therefore with this Intel, I am asking my Friends, Followers and Fans to jump on the Wagon to make sure that nothing like this will ever happen again.  The bottom line is: It’s just a darn good idea that should have been done decades ago.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #185 for Tuesday, December 23, 2014 is a salute to my Golden Anniversary that occurred 23 years ago when I was violently assaulted robbed and left for dead in a pool of blood, my own on Monday, December 23, 1991.  Well, a lot has happened since then which includes NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY& now THE DAILY SPLURGE ©2014 which completes its 185TH or Half- - Year Mark.  Great Philosophies stem from Events and Literary Columns like that.  One which is:

It takes a DESPLURGE in which to eMERGE again.  That’s exactly what happened and continues to happen to me.  Furthermore, in order to kick off the New Year on a sparkling and splurge-ative mode, I’m cleaning house in my Twitter Account.  Getting rid of dead weight which accounts for more than 2100 People/Places/Entities that I follow that are oh-so boring or inept.  I plan to stay between 50-100 and from there spend 2015 in finalizing the SPLURGEpedia® and a long List of other Literary Gems.  After all, we are in the MISTS of THE YEARS OF THE SPLURGES (2014-2019) marking this HOLIDATE’s 20-25 ABC: Anniversaries – Birthdays and Celebrations.

IN SUMMARY:  IT (no matter whatever IT is) can be done if you set your Mind to IT.  Making room for a new Splurge – Year – Item – Toy is the best Rx possible.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #186 for Wednesday, December 24, 2014 is a reminder that the BIGGEST SPLURGE you should make this Season is that of the SPLURGE on GOOD HEALTH – your Good Health.  Keep in mind NOT to overdo IT. IT (which means whatever your Vices of Choice are), of course, relates to Over-Indulgences, that in the long run are not healthy for you. This Act(ion) is difficult to do for many since EXCESS is “big at this Time of Year,’ especially when so many DD: Discounted Deals mark our Passageway from Home to Work and back again.  Keep in the near Recesses of your Mind that “HEY:  Why make IT any more burdensome on ‘my’ New Year’s Resolutions.  The Tactic to keep sober and sane is your choice, clearly.  IT’s not that difficult to do.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #187 for Thursday, December 25, 2014 correlates with what the Gentile Concept of Christmas is all about.  Generosity and being kind.  Exercise (do not exorcise) those Virtues for those about you.  That’s a Splurge of a different Nature that should be underscored by all Groups, Races and Breeds of People as We collectively approach 2015.  Pope Francis listed 15 Sins that he saw were taking our World over. Peruse those which are online at:

as they are real Eye-Openers.  In a very similar Manner (that I began in November of 2014), my latest Creative Endeavor #SANTA_IS_RETIRING ©2014 is an intensive Look at how these Papal Pointers pristinely apply to Mankind and how they must be amended.  It’s past the Motto: It’s about Time. It’s far overdue.

As of Todays’ Date (Christmas Day of 2014), SANTA IS RETIRING, the Solo Blog Entry of November 11, 2014 at:
has drawn in and enticed 3,056 Readers. Striking a Nerve is what is happening here; both in Chicago and in Rome.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #188 for Friday, December 26, 2014 is the Time when Holiday Revelers around the Globe “DO IT” one more Time.  With Boxing Day being officially here, this is the Time to take back those Gifts to their Points of Purchase that don’t exactly agree with you and your Tastes.  It’s also a Time for the Elite (those who never give  a  Second Thought to the Art & Act of Splurging since MONEY is no Issue to them) to give what they don’t want or like to ‘The Help’ and/or Charities that are in need of those Accoutrements and Accessories.  No matter what side of the Bank Account you fall upon, Today is the Day for Deals when you rev up the Rest of your  remaining Energy to SPEND-TO- SPLURGE ®.  After all, you have 2015 to pay up those Tabs.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #189 for Saturday, December 27, 2014 is a FREE FOR ALL, for those of you who received GIFT CARDS for the Holidays of Christmas & Chanukah.  You’ve had enough time to figure out what you wish to purchase.  Plus, with all of the After-Holiday Sales on, you’d be a FOOL (and SPLURGERS connected to ASK’s TEAM: SPLURGE are far from those) not to cash in today on bigger Discounts yet.  Therefore, without further a-DUE, head on out to see what else you can purchase.  From the Investment Point of View, I recommend anything that remotely resembles a COLLECTIBLE, as it states what the Times were all about and are, of course, fun to dust when not OUT THERE finding more items/stuff/things to SPLURGE on.  On the Count of 3…

PS:  For those of you who did not receive GIFT CARDS this year, check out your cluttered drawers, as there be a few in there you had totally forgotten about.  Such is the nature of ATP: All Things Plastic, but that again is yet more fodder for another SPLURGE…

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #190 for Sunday, December 28, 2014 involves the word ‘extraneous’ that caught my Attention while dictionarying one of my texts.  As the term involves The Art & Act of Splurging, is there too much bling?  Can there really be enough bling?  Does bling cha-ching at particular times of the year or does it pertain only to the person in charge of performing that splurge or bling?  Sometimes, both are inseparable.  When BLING is good, it’s usually when sharing or giving another person/pet part of that SPLURGE.  Over powering a Splurge is a natural trait of what happens when in the Act of Splurging, but it’s a Motivation (that once satisfied) can lay at rest for a defined period until the next Splurge is set to ignite.  The Brass Tacks and Tactics of National Splurge Day ©1994, now in its 20TH Year is a Work-in-Progress and Words in Progress every day here via THE DAILY SPLURGE ©2014.

Inner Demons got yea?  Splurge them away for 2015 with ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith’s National Splurge Day – now coming to your Neighborhood.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #191 for Monday, December 29, 2014 is the Antithesis of what a SPLURGE is – an excessive Way to access a Desirable Commodity.  However, sometimes, it’s good to divorce (restrict and cut yourself apart) from that INDULGENCE.  Therefore, Today [as we narrow down the Days of 2014]is allocated to look at and carefully examine something you may be doing in excess that you do not want to be the proverbial ‘Albatross around your Neck’ come the New Year.  After all, 2015 means We are all well into the 2000s by 15 years (which is a long, long time) and if certain Priorities have not been met, well, then: it’s high time to take a different Road, perhaps one that could lead you on to a New Adventure.

2015 for me is going to be one in which I gravitate from the Sweets in my Life (no not the People who are of that particular Character) but a huge lessening of Foods that I’ve been indulging in.  After all, on December 31, 2014 at 11:59 PM, the last Baby-Boomer turns 50; therefore, a huge Demographical Shift occurs that has never occurred in the History of Mankind.  Accompanying that Phenom is the Fact that People’s Metabolisms slow down and with that, Weight Gain occurs that can lead to an assortment of medical problems.  We all have our Vices to contend with.  Being knowledgeable about them and nipping them at the(ir) Bud is something that you’ll find is a new Excess and Splurge you will find quite rewarding in the Years ahead… that are appropriately marked as:

YoTS: Years of The Splurges ©2010

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #192 for Tuesday, December 30, 2014 is a take-off of something mighty sweet (no, not dealing with Food at this particular time) that someone mighty special did for me yesterday.  It was a Surprise that soon became a valuable Addition to one of my Collections of Red Eyed Green Tree Frogs.  Robert (the Fiancée) was out and about in the Hood yesterday and stopped into one of our local Antique Shops on the Strip. He requested seeing their Line of Red Eyed Green Tree Frog Statues and from there, picked out for me a Collectible created by an Artist that he knew while repping him in his Shop when he owned Ancient Echoes Boutique (circa the 1980s).

One of the most Fun Things is how I found “GORPH JR.” whose Name is a Takeoff of my Series of GORF Books & Scripts that deals with the Red Eyed Green Tree Frog that is 217,000,000 years old. GORF (by the way) is FROG back-words.  An inch in Diameter with spectacular Ruby Eyes and 11 Black Marks on his Green Enameled Back, GORPH JR. was sitting ‘in the pond’ where his Mermaid Statue stands that is also a Collectible.

THE MORAL OF THIS GENEROUS SURPRISE FOR THE DAILY SPLURGE – the Last Tuesday of 2014 is:  With all that said, think of someone you can SPLURGE on Today and make that person very happy.  Tomorrow you shall have other projects to tackle and contend with…like all those Resolutions that are set to kick in at the Stroke of Midnight!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #193 for Wednesday, December 31, 2014 (the last Day of 2014) is a Salute to the most Fab People in The World, in which Robert & I are both Life-long Members.  We (like about 76,000,000 Americans) are bona fide Baby Boomers!

As the 365TH Day of the Year is upon us, it’s Time to reflect back on what put ‘The Pop’ into Popular Culture and Holidates as National Splurge Day ©1994 upon its 20TH Year is at the Head and Top of that Roster that makes News Stories all the more unique.   With few Hours left in our Day, there’s no Time like the Present.

Therefore, Boomers know what to do; when to do it; where to do it and why it should be done. That rates as Entitlement that is ageless.

PS:  Announcing the ASKian Book called:  The Alma Gilbridge Story:  The Last BabyBoomer enters her Twilight Years ©2014 that will be published during the Second Quarter of 2015 to commemorate this monumental Sociological Milestone in Man’s Story.

Happy New Year:  15 years ago it was ‘just’ 2000.  I’m saying we did make it past the Y2K Bug!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #194 for Thursday, January 1, 2015 is the First Day for the Rest of your Life. If you’re like many, the New Outlook is that as of 11:59 PM yesterday the last BabyBoomer turned 50; therefore the Mindset is that of SPLURGING on the Things that ‘wane nostalgic.’  Not only did the Period of 1946 – 1964 feature some of the coolest Items ever created, invented and founded, but they were built to last.  And, like those who were able to make it to their 50TH Birthday, they, too, were built to last in order to celebrate 2015, the 15TH Year of this new (not that new anymore) Century & Millennium.  Go to it:  Make up those Splurge Lists and consider the Openings - Possibilities.  Many are just a PC: Point & Click away.  For those interested in becoming Part & Parcel of:

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #195 for Friday, January 2, 2015 is proudly releasing the First HOLIDATE of 2015 created by me, ASK – deemed as  America’s Premier Eventologist’ adding to my list of 1,900 HOLIDATES TO CELEBRATE.   Literally known as a HOLIDATE, this EVENTOLOGICAL EVENT is called:

and can encompass the entire Weekend if an extensive Outing and/or Field Trip is undertaken or planned. After all, the Study of Fossils is fascinating, indeed one of the most intriguing Topics that has ever haunted us here on Planet Earth.

FURTHERMORE:  This Floating
HOLIDATE (that occurs annually 52 times– on each Friday of the Year) also marks the Second official SPLURGE OF THE MONTH of the New Year.

PREMISE:  FOSSIL FRIDAYS ©2015 is a convenient and timely Way to explore your Past;  proceeding all the Way back – millions of years ago (long before your Parents met or Personal Computers were that personal – or invented).  Delve into what occurred ‘back then’ that shaped our Backbone of Today during the Course of Evolution (Revolution in the 1960s, but that again is not Prehistory to the BabyBoomers amongst us).

Derived from my Love and Fondness for Prehistory (as a simpler and safer time, albeit a few Stray and Roaming Dinosaurs* to contend with) and to my Cartoon Character, CAVE MAN NEVER ©1992 that later made Way to the Creation of EVENTOLOGY® - for those Individuals and Societies really into ‘The Story’ behind and of PrehiSTORY, this Study can even begin (for you) the Start of the ever-popular PALEO-DIET, that may be a Means to shed those unwanted Pounds since Holiday Festivities began (earlier this past year) since Santa Claus Paraphernalia was being hawked as early as Mid-September.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #196 for Saturday, January 3, 2015 begins with the Number 3 which architecturally and design wise is the Number that you are trying to ACHIEVE to make anything – any project the best it can be; most noticed and something that stands out.  Therefore, on this cold and icy day in many areas of our world (unless you are one of those living in the Southern Hemisphere where the weather is much warmer), Saturday marks the Day when shopping takes precedence. Some (not many) of the remaining Items on sale for the Holiday Season (Christmas – Chanukah & Kwanzaa) are on sale at a fraction of their former price. Therefore, it’s time to SPLURGE – in increments of three. You’ll be happy you did as it takes the anxiety and weight off of Shopping later in the year.  And, on a cold day, SPLURGING is the one exercise that heats us up while improving our surroundings and mindset or so I know as the Queen Of Splurge and Creator of National Splurge Day.  Indeed if you are making your DAILY SPLURGE CALENDAR to keep up with ATS:  All Things Splurge-(worthy), this can fill your Saturday Quota.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #197 for Sunday, January 4, 2015 means there are only a few more months till July 4, 2015, a time when many Americans splurge due to the long Holiday and the Independence we have achieved, one thing that allows for ample Splurging. However, there's plenty of time between these two dates in which to figure out what your SPLURGE CHARITIES are.  Once those are known, begin a program in which a certain percentage of your Time & Pay is allocated to them.  That's the true and newest Meaning of National Splurge Days (C)1994 & (C)2014 as created by ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, America's Premier Eventologist and Creator of 1,900 other Holidates to Celebrate, based in Chicago, IL USA.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge’s #198 for Monday, January 5, 2015 gets the proverbial Show on the Road.  ‘The Show of Splurge’ which so many of us are involved with.  In those 2 Universal Categories, there are those who actively splurge.  There are those who provide/manufacture/create the Splurges that We love to do.  Therefore, throughout the SPLURGE STINT ™ of YoTS: Years of The Splurges promoted by ME: ASK: The Queen of Splurge running from 2014 – 2019, the Holidate’s 20-25TH ABC: Anniversaries – Birthdays – Celebrations, Daily Listings will steer you in the right Direction by this Category:

ISOS: I Splurge On Sunday

ISOM: I Splurge On Monday

I SOT:  I Splurge On Tuesday

ISOW:  I Splurge On Wednesday

ISOTH:  I Splurge On Thursday

ISOF:  I Splurge On Friday

ISOSA:  I Splurge On Saturday

Show (yes) – Tell (yes) – Splurge, of course.  Stay tuned to the Wonders We at SPLURGE CENTRAL have in store 4 U!  Membership to CLUB: SPLURGE  ® begins at $100 a Month (prepaid) for a Packet of 10 Tweets from The Originator of this unique HOLIDATE (now in its Twentieth Year):  Chicago’s’ Very Own, ASK: ADRIENNE SIOUX KOOPERSMITH, where the BRAND you see promoted may be your own.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #199 for Tuesday, January 6, 2015 is a Milestone that has been aided by the Slew of Smiths that have created Products and Brands that We use every Day.  On this Special Date – memorialized by me, ASK: Adrienne Sioux KooperSMITH – who created:

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #200 for Wednesday, January 7, 2015 is a take off of the French Term:  Resistance du Splurge.  All of us should or may have a SPLURGE that we should resist; however because of the nature of SPLURGING itself, we all know that is impossible.  IF you live in a cold area, do bear in mind that if you cannot get out and exercise, the your SPLURGE should be half of what it was to be.  Health is optimal; the thing that counts the most.  Make and take that SPLURGE as wisely as you can.  We always have tomorrow...

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #201 for Thursday, January 8, 2015 is a Suggestion that you, as Individuals (who know how valuable and precious freedom is), take the Time out to buy a Subscription of Charlie Hebdo (based in Paris) that will again rise like the Phoenix and be published next Week in honor of those Cartoonists & Journalists:

Charbonnier, Wolinski, 'Tignous,' Cabut amongst others

who died from this Massacre, a vicious Assault on Humanity, Justice, Creativity and the Freedoms most Peoples wish to preserve and pass on.

As the Founder/Creator of Cartoonists Against Crime
©1991 & Cartoonists Against Terrorism ©2001, this is an Act that 'everyone everywhere' can do; should do and must do.

After all, there are no such 'things' as Coincidences. Things & Life happen for a Reason that defy Logic and Common Sense. We are happy when those times happen, even in the Presence of great Mourning.

After all, since Karma does go around, wouldn’t you ‘assume’ and delight in knowing (I know I do) that The Prophet Mohammad plucked Said or Cherif Kouachi’s ID from his Pocket (and left it as Evidence in 1 of their get-away Vehicles) in order to be found by the Parisienne Police? What a glorious Cartoon that Thought could translate into.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #202 for Friday, January 9, 2015 is dedicated to SPLURGE ON FRENCH Products/Brands/Foods du Francais.  In light of the Terrorist Attack on Paris two days ago that left 16 People (at least) dead, this is the American Way to support our Oldest Allies in their Time of Need.  I urge you – as the URGE TO SPLURGE is a Daily Way of Life for many to consider the Benefits and Privileges we have and to ensure that those continue on from this Day forth as it has since 1776.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #203 for Saturday, January 10, 2015 charges up a multi-million dollar sale.  As we know, it’s now the time of year, the month of January, where closing out the Christmas selling season when so many more things (that many of us need or think we need) are on sale. That’s the BUZZ WoRD.  When items are ON SALE that means we get more bang and buck for oru splurges.  There is hardly a thing wrong with that.  It has to be taken advantage of and should be a priority for today.

However, there are many people 'OUT THERE'  who need those items and commodities moreso than you. Therefore, from SPLURGE CENTRAL here, it is encouraged to go to the malls and your favorite shops where these THINGS are sold and buy them in quantities of TEN – saluting the TENTH of the Month and then deliver them to shelters and pantries in your area.  You can also contact the brand name – the manufacturer to let them know what you’ve done.  Take a few photos of your contribution; post so that others can do the same!

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #204 for Sunday, January 11, 2015  is a shout-out for my HOLIDATE called:

International Thank You Days ©1994/96/98

that is a thank you to my kindergarten teacher, Miss Lucille fritz who was the first outsider who helped me become the creative that I am today.  This is a multi-tiered HOLIDATE going on for days.  You can purchase the original

International Thank You Days ©1994/96/98

Booklet that was a delight to create as it contains my kindergarten picture.  We must never forget where we came from.  Why is this event being mentioned today in THE DAILY SPLURGE?  Because there are things to always be thankful for, which includes THE SPLURGE and the right and freedom to be able to do so.  Places here on our granite planet still abound where this is not happening, sad to say, but it must be said so our democratic ideals reign supreme.  Holidates to celebrate (as I call all 1900+ that I’ve developed since July 25, 1990) are days with an assortment of positivity.  The way it should be; even in the international  eyes of tragedy and sorrow.  What else can we do but keep on keeping on?  Merely called BACKBONE for those who choose that route.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #205 for Monday, January 12, 2015 equates to the Number of Days – a Dozen (so far) - that we have used and utilized during 2015 (so far).
From the Splurgistic Point of View that equates then to 12 Opportunities (not the Baker’s Dozen in this case which is one extra for Good Measure and or the start of Super-Sizing) in which the Twelfth of the Month from this Point on is designated to certain Products & Brands that pertain to how and what you splurge on:
To me those are and would be to SPLURGE on are:
  1. Subscription to Charlie Hebdot, the French/Parisienne Satire Magazine;
  2. New Linens from the January White Sales to spruce up the Bed and Bathrooms;
  3. 12 Valentine’s Day Cards since the LOVE Month is approaching shortly and spreading Love is popular;
  4. SoS: Splurge on Splurges®:  Jump ahead of the Crowd as Spring arrives on March 21ST.
  5. Tea Bags. Hot or Cold;  South or North Hemispheres.  Tea is one of the top Beverages for 2015 per ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith, The Queen of Splurge.
  6. Moving.  Take 5 minutes an Hour (for the 8 Hours you are up only) to Exercise.  That extra Energy will feel mighty good. That’s known as a Body Splurge®, which gets and keeps you in line for other Splurge Activities.
Because loading up on Splurges is an Eventological Enigma of great Percussions and incredible Repercussions, there’s no better time than to start now.
Refer to the 12 of this Month for each succeeding Month as to how and what to SPLURGE on.  Subject to change (as everything is).

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #206 for Tuesday, January 13, 2015 brings us back – hopefully – to a Field of Normalcy (even if it’s lived only for a minute’s time) where We can splurge on the Good Things that can and do happen to us and not the horrific, blood Paths -  Atrocities staged against innocent People, primarily those killed in:

Paris France
The Young Girls (about 10 years old) used as Mules, loaded up with Explosives to kill those in the Marketplaces of Nigeria.

Also as the Creator/Founder/ Curator of:

Cartoonists Against Crime ©1991 & Cartoonists Against Terrorism ©2001

The Reality of Life now is exceedingly different than it was when I was born in the early 1950s. However, Living each Day to its fullest is the leading Principle of the Literary Genre I  introduced to the World on Wednesday, July 25, 1990 at 9:45 PM called:

Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith’s Campaigns For Humanity ©1990

And for those of us so graced and blessed with a Positive Mindset and Creative Soul & Spirit, that and much more can be achieved every Day.  Spreading that Positivity around is the Theme of Today’s The Daily Splurge.  Splurging (in other Words and by its 2014 Definition) need not be a Purchase, but a Mindset that is passed along to those on the street, in your home; at work, online and off.  Achieving that Freedom cannot be taken away from us.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #207 for Wednesday, January 14, 2015 is a month before Valentine’s Day in which LOVE is in the Air and splurging on its ACCOUNTREMENTS is what the Stores – Shops and Boutiques want us to do.  Also, if you are a guy and in the dog-house, this is a very good way in which to get out of it.  However, there is something that we can no longer get out of and it is the THREAT that is here to stay: OF TERRORISM.  We all are on high alert.  We have been on high alert for street crime which seems to pale when thinking of the Terrorist Groups who are hell-bent on destroying our Civilization and Cultural Societies.  Enter: Je Suis Charlie.

In the wake of the Terrorist attack on PARIS as well as the heightened fear We all feel – as well as the Kids (aged 10) who are being blown up by Crazies in Nigeria, the idea of SPLURGING & doing/buying/enjoying the finer  things in life and in excess appears as unfathomable.  How can you enjoy ANYTHING when so many others are dying.

Therefore, what needs to be splurged on is UNITY in order that We can all feel safer and happier.  My Facebook Friend, RACHEL DUBBER who lives in CapeTown, South Africa posted this about 51 minutes ago and she could not say it any better.  Join in with her message. Feel free to post this as it says IT all:

“This world needs as much kindness as it can get. I'm participating in the 'Pay it Forward' initiative: The first five people who comment on this status with "I'm in" will receive a surprise from me at some point during calendar year 2015 - anything from a book, a ticket, something homemade, a postcard, absolutely any surprise! There will be no warning and it will happen when the mood comes over me and I find something that I believe would suit you and make you happy. These five people must make the same offer on their Facebook status. Once my first five have commented "I'm in" I will forward this message to you privately, so that you can copy and paste it, and put it on your status, (don't share it) so that we can form a web of connection of kindness. Let's do more nice and loving things in 2015, without any reason other than to make each other smile and show that we think of each other. Here's to a more enjoyable, friendly and love filled year!”

SPLURGING ON KINDNESS is what Life is about. Life is too short as it is even if everyone did get along…The Time is now to act.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #208 for Thursday, January 15, 2015 - where Ones and Fifteens rule the Day (considered an Ides in Calendrical Time) is a refreshing SWITCH from thinking and dwelling on and about the Abruptness and Rudeness of Terrorism and how it is wrecking our lives, to one where TOYS – on THOISDAY – or THURSDAY marks the spot.  15 times over for the upcoming Events (as Valentine’s Day) when a TOY is a complete JOY to have. TOYSDAYS never felt so good or were so needed.
For those of you short on Funds from Holiday Shopping Resale & Thrift shops oft-times have a wonderful Display of TOYS that you can purchase for 80% of their original price.

As a matter of fact, 5 of the 11 Characters in my Movie Scripts called:

SKiN: Sacred Kinship in Nature ™
How 10 Beloved Plush Toys Redefine Race ©2009
Are Orphans from Thrift Shops – all TOYS never ‘played’ with who help me in:

Eliminating Racism;
Dispelling the Mixed Signals & Ironies we encounter every day; and
Getting to the Heart of what really matters.

Multi-purpose TOYS are only a Fraction of the Things that they do…

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #209 for Friday, January 16, 2015 are Splurge Opportunities that deal with the fun and funky alliteration of “FR” (as in Fossil Friday) initiated in early January of this year that gives a boost to what you plan on splurging on today.  If you are utterly brain-dead and/or not an aficionado of going out into the Field in Search of Fossils, consult a nearby Dictionary and scan it for F &/or FR terms that pertain to your SPLURGE-OF-CHOICE.  Many can be done inside; outside (if you live in a warmer area) and or right here online.

Feel free to post your Bouts here (in word format) so others can participate in them as well.  And for those extending this into their major Meals, I’ll be having a frijola for lunch today & possibly dinner if I get too caught up in my work.

Plenty of those  Beanicular Recipes are online at:

for your eating Consumption & Sharing.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #210 for Saturday, January 17, 2015 marks Ten Days since the Terrorist Attack on Paris.  Many of us are not in a state of splurging as we watch the International Scene to sit, watch, observe and contemplate what will happen next.  Within a moment’s time, Life can change.  For that and the Lives of the incredible Jewish People who lost their Lives at the Kosher Market in Paris, a Day of  Observance is being commemorated today, instead.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #211 for Sunday, January 18, 2015 marks another Anniversary of National Splurge Day – now officially known as:  Years of The Splurges through 2019, which commemorates the 20TH – 25TH ABC: Anniversaries – Birthdays – Celebrations of this Holidate: National Splurge Day.  Do what you like.  18 is a Good Luck Number in Judaism.  Giving increments of $18 dollars to a charity of your choosing may be a nice way of celebrating NSD’s Festivities for today.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #212 for Monday, January 19, 2015 comprises the last of a 3-day weekend for many of us.  Therefore, if you're in a new area, it's time to check out those new stores, boutiques and shops to see what they ahve that is unique in their area in which to splurge; take a gift back home to the Family & Friends, letting them all know that you did leave your Zip Code Area.

EDITORIAL NOTE:  Today's Splurge is subject to change.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #213 for Tuesday, January 20, 2015 is back again, after a hiatus due to the Tremors & Terrors of what has been happening in Europe.  TOYS-Day is one in which the splurge can be big or small (as toys come in all sizes) and expensive or cheap (as toys come in all price ranges).  TOYS-Day is also for those who are into high tech as well as low tech Toys.  Why? Because TOYS comprise the Industry in which Art + Science + Math + Creativity can be weaved into making your Day's Endeavors into a most exciting Adventure.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #214 for Wednesday, January 21, 2015 is an extremely important Mark in Calendrical Time, especially for those of you (or us) who reside in a nastily freezingly cold Northern Hemispherical Realm as it officially marks only Two (2)  Months till Spring.  Keeping this positive Note in mind, there’s just cause to now plan to SPLURGE for your Spring of 2015 Wardrobe, which can be anything you can fit in to after wildly splurging on this past Holiday’s Goods and Sweets. With so much competition, every major retailer was vying for your Buck & Coin, therefore, a large percentage of the Population, LOST CONTROL.

The Question now remains:

Can you whip yourself into shape in 60 days?  Chances are you definitely can if you drink three (3)  10-ounce Glasses of V8, the Sodium Variety (although others do exist for your sipping pleasure), which helps to satiate your Appetite so you will not have the Tendency to  devour and consume so many unnecessary Calories, that equate to Pounds that later leads to Fat & Morbid Obesity.

I know this as I tried this five years and my Effort comes well-recommended.  You, too, can lose 2.5 Inches and 12 Pounds in record time so that your Saturday, March 21, 2015 Splurge (and Saturday is rated as the Primo Date of the Week in which the most Splurging is done)  is slated as memorable - a Touchstone Reason to celebrate.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #215 for Thursday, January 22, 2015 marks the importance of what your Computer means to you.  This comes about because a new TOY for TOYS-day has entered the Realm known as SPLURGE CENTRAL® that makes the ease of splurging all the easier and more conducive to doing what the Holidate is meant to do for the next 5 years during the

a Division of National Splurge Day.  Because it is so easy to splurge, it’s just as easy to SPLURGE ON TO OTHERS; therefore, thematically, enrich the lives of others by giving them something they may not be privy to.  It need not be as luxurious as a new computer, Jaguar or trip to the South Seas, but something that shows that you (above all else and all others) care.

National Splurge Day’s The Daily Splurge #216 for Friday, January 23, 2015 that is also the 14TH Year of Adrienne's Day International that was an Event created by Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune (on Jan. 23, 2001), one that I treasure as a name-sake, we could say.  However, besides SPLURGING on Events, today is especially monumental as I became the third person of five to purchase one of the rare Collectible Editions of the Charlie Hebdo Satirical Comic Art Publication that finally found its way to the USA after the Terrorist Attack on Paris that happened on January 7.  As the Founder / Creator / Curator of:
Cartoonists Against Crime (C)1991
Cartoonists Against Terrorism (C)2001
I can honestly say this is a Splurge - a once in a life time oppor-TOON-ity that I never thought I would ever be(come) a part of.  To be able to stand up, united in freedom and spirit is much more valuable than any of us know.  No matter what your name is if you do not have Equality - Liberty  and Brotherhood, you can't function as you aptly should.
