Chicago, IL USA: I'm writing to a fellow artist/screenwriter in Japan, now experiencing the worst catastrophe to ever hit this tiny island nation. The following is an excerpt from Ron's note to me. He lists several videos he has shot that will show you what is really happening in Japan and to the people there.

Let's begin now:
yeah, i am not too bad. Write sci-fi/comedy/drama and like to mix and match genres.
I have about 4 features and 15 shorts and won about 12 awards.
you know, just trying to get that right person to read the right thing i have.
here is an update of some stuff happening from japan i sent out.
I am originally from toronto and have been trying to launch a film career in LA but working in Japan.
but since the earthquake i have been posting things on fb which is natural.
some filmmaker friends have posted my stuff on twitter.
but also on CNN. and because it is raw and first person they have given me an award for reporting. it is a badge of some kind for journalism in the community.
here is the one that caught the attention of CNN.
my youtube also has two interviews.
