Wednesday, September 10, 2014. #NationalSplurgeDay’s #TheDailySplurge #82 was something I heard on CBS This Morning with Charles Rose, Gayle King & Nora O’Donnell reporting LIVE from New York City where Episodes like these just happen too often.   They reported that:

A Parking Space is now for Sale for One Million Dollars.  That’s $1,000,000.00.

Evidently, this is a gigantic SPLURGE for Someone who is ultra and über-wealthy enough to afford that Commodity; however, if a Person can afford a Home that has a ONE MILLION DOLLAR Parking Space (I hope it’s inside, heated and comes with its own Primo Coffee & Danish each Morning for the Trip in to Work), that House is not a Home, it officially qualifies as being a Mansion that has got to be over $25,000,000 to do that Parking Space Justice.

In a Case like this, there is no absolute Justice, since 99% of us cannot afford that SPLURGE.  However, for those of us who like to dream, if I (as the #QUEENOFSPLURGE were in that Position to buy a Parking Space (for my Luxury Vehicle or Liner), I would prefer taking that Million Dollars and give it to the Top 1000 Unfortunates I know.

I have a Feeling I would even do that if I were able to purchase a Parking Space for Half a Million Dollars.  Some Things (as Parking Spaces) are just not worth a lot of Money.  I call that the Warren Buffett Effect.  If you don’t believe me.  Ask Mother Nature. Originally, until Man arrived, she had no Price Tags on any of her Natural Wonders.  But that’s another Blog’s Worth all found in my 7 Part Book & Movie Scripts called:

That:

Eliminates Racism;

Dispels the Mixed Signals and Ironies we receive every Day; and

Gets to the Heart of what really matters.

RETURNING TO THE PARKING LOT ISSUE:

Starving Artists are plentiful in our World.

Orphans are plentiful.

Domestic Violence Victims are plentiful.

There are PLENTY OF WAYS to give to worthy Causes that amount to more than a Slab of cold Concrete in a Big City High-Rise.

And for those of you in The Media, you can quote me on that one:

Per: ASK: Adrienne Sioux Koopersmith

who claims:

“There are PLENTY OF WAYS to give to worthy Causes

that amount to more than a Slab of cold Concrete in a Big City High-Rise.”

$1,000 would help them out much more than a Space that rates as too mind-boggling.

Now, at this point in this Text and Context of The Daily Splurge for those of you who are following along (and I so appreciate that Kind Gesture), We go over to google and type in:

What will $1,000,000 buy in 2014?

Read down the Answers.  Weed out the ones that are OF INTEREST to you and yours and proceed from there – the next Time you have a MILLION DOLLARS to
SPLURGE with.

My Favorite came from:  James Twining CFP® Bellingham, WA

http://www.nerdwallet.com/finance/question/i-am-54-and-have-inherited-1-000-000-how-many-years-can-this-sum-last-me-2666

Mr. Twining stated:  “Most who inherit a large lump sum think they are rich.  They aren't.  $1 million is not enough to retire successfully for most people.”

However, ONE MILLION DOLLARS can make a hugely significant Difference to those who are frugal enough to s-t-r-e-t-c-h it out.  And, if you so choose to SPLURGE at a Discount Center – Dollar Store – or Resale Shop, you’ll get much MORE of a BANG than if you invest in a MILLION DOLLAR Parking Space as your Auto devalues in Price and Value.
