Chicago, IL USA: The Calendar now states that it is March 1. For those of us in the Midwest, it has been the harshest of winters in over a decade. However, with the turn of a page - a new month signfifies that the weather is about to change and that Spring is definitely in the air, even if it's snowing, the wind is howling and we're still layering up.
By March, most of us who have sworn to stick to our Resolutions even HAVE stuck to them or haven't. For those who have fallen off the 'bandwagon' - it's still not to late to start keeping healthier habits. I , for one, am going to eat ONLY oatmeal for breakfast for the next 31 days. It's filling - it even stops my cravings for a 10 AM snack and it fills the hunger spot every time I want a good breakfast meal. Hopefully, it too, will help me take off a few additional pounds that I put on due to more inactivity this past Winter than in previous ones.
And with that in mind -- it's time to get out and explore more; eat less and write more as we 'MARCH' into a new Segment of 2009.
