IF YOU ARE A SMITH, you will be happy to know that Sunday, January 6TH marks the 18TH Anniversary of NATIONAL SMITH DAY ©1995, the HOLIDATE created so long ago, inspired by my paternal Grandfather, SRUL KOOPERSMITH that honors our Family Tree and all other Smiths.
‘NSD’ (as the HOLIDATE is affectionately referred to by) is celebrated on the date that Captain John Smith was born in JOE: Jolly Old England in 1608. My studies and research have revealed that he was the FIRST SMITH to step foot on these hallowed grounds WE call the United States of America.
Little did the GOOD CAPTAIN know that hundreds of years later, he would be eventologized to THE MAX by ‘America’s Premier Eventologist,’ namely ME to prove a point and to crusade in order to MAKE LIFE MUCH BETTER FOR US ALL,which is one of EVENTOLOGY’s Tenets.
But, as WE all know LOTS of horrible circumstances have happened since those early Days which WE cannot help and are not responsible (for). Therefore, keeping this Thought in the front of my mind, the Stance of NATIONAL SMITH DAY©1995 will be quite different for the next year due in part to Climate Change. SMITH-SAVERS ©2013 is being launched and will take place on the 6TH of every Month throughout 2013 to keep the momentum going strong and to help those SMITHS less fortunate than WE are.
THE PREMISE: SMITH- SAVERS©2013 is a means in which SMITHS (of all Derivatives and Derivations) can help out those who have gone through the grave and devastating storms (tornados, hurricanes, floods and fires) that have hit the continental USA the last few years. With over 3,000,000 SMITHS in the continental USA alone, the math shows that many have lost their belongings, all the while many SMITH businesses are thriving. ‘Giving back’ is part of the EVENTOLOGICAL WAY; the way our Great Religions work and even Boy & Girl Scouts can heartily participate in activities where WE become more charitable, at heart. It’s the correct ACTION to take in the Course of Humanity.
