ASK/Chicago: iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 Movie Script beats out 3146 Contestants. Now needs Spielberg’s, Burton’s or Lasseter’s Touch.

NEWS FLASH: August 12, 2010

Chicago, Illinois USA: My Spec Movie Script (1 of 3 penned to date) entitled:

recently placed in Scriptapalooza’s International Screenplay Competition: 2010 based in Hollywood, California, now in its 12TH year. The Winners are found at:

I have been diligently working on this 7-Part Movie Franchise since January, 2009 cultivated from Decades of Inspirations, Observations & Revelations. Surprisingly enough, it took me only 2 Months to write this particular Script that was selected. 377 QuarterFinalists were culled from 3541 total Submissions from across the Planet, representing all Sectors of Society & Genres of Prototypes, an Honor indeed. Mathematically, that Figure alone represents:

of the total Entries reviewed. Winning a Contest of this nature is sure to make Movie-Making History and set some Writers’ Careers into High Gear, rating as a ‘Dream come true.’ In my particular case, this Journey all began with me finding GORF (that’s FROG back-words), a Plush TOY with a wide 11” Grin & 24” tall @ Walgreens in January of 2005. Realizing his Look alone could make the saddest Person smile and forget their Pain, Woes and impending Circumstances, I soon realized THE FROG (with his ample Amounts of Mass Appeal) would ‘break the Ice’ between People as I embarked on a GREEN CAMPAIGN designating GORF as:

‘Chicago’s First Green Mascot & The Icon of The Green Movement’

and nicknaming him ‘The Grin Reaper ®’.

What was surprising was that I did not even know what a Movie Script looked like prior to Saturday, August 8, 2009. My belief is that there are many untapped Talents we all possess that just take their time to surface. Motivated by a Friend who complimented my Writing Style, I then taught myself Screenwriting per various Library Books. I wrote non-stop from August 8, 2009 through April 6, 2010 using GORF & 9 other TOYS as THE CHARACTOYS®, all found in my TOY BOX. This Chapter in my Story is still unfolding and grows (more exciting) every Day.

The relevant Topics shared by SKiN (totaling 7 Books & 7 Movies) & iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 are primarily based around the universal Concepts of:

- Eliminating Racism;
- Dispelling Mixed Signals & Ironies; &
- Getting to The Heart of ‘What Matters’

REQUEST: I am currently seeking a Literary Professional (with clout, drive, charisma and business savvy) as yourself to walk my Script, iN THE COMPANY OF ANTS ©2009-2010 into Steven Spielberg’s, Tim Burton’s and/or John Lasseter (Disney/Pixar) Studios.

STATUS OF PROJECT: Combined with THE CHARACTOYS® high marketability and 3 universal Concepts it represents, I am now UN-writing the ‘Script’ back into Book Format. That assignment should be completed by mid-September.

Additionally, heading my own PRAM: Public Relations – Advertising – Marketing Co. (since 9179), I am in contact with scores of journalists (at newspapers – magazines – and online publications) who can follow-up and report on this Process, using it as a Feature focusing on its creative evolution as it deals with Human Nature, something we all have.

TELLING IT HOW IT IS: The Characters (as GORF pictured below) will speak for themselves. Racism is the hottest Topic today. The Rest of the Franchise (which consists of 6 more Sequels) is for Movie-Making and Social History Records.

Also feel free to forward this eMedia Release to anyone you know who ‘specializes’ in TOYS, one of the most popular genres to come out of Hollywood that captivates audiences.

MY CONCLUSION ABOUT RECEIVING THIS AWARD: “Writing does not stop at any One Technique. It is a Lifelong Process that grows and matures with us as The Craft evolves. For this reason, I highly encourage others to actively pursue their Creative Talents in many diverse ways that explore these Avenues and to allow themselves to see what’s just beyond the next Bend.”

Thank you for your time and expertise devoted to my query.

His contest is unique because he only uses industry professionals (who can MOVE THAT SCRIPT) to read through the submissions. These people have the ability to place Scripts. His yearly Competition called Scriptapalooza's International Screenplay Competition marked its 12TH Year in 2010. I feel your participation would be a great networking opportunity for you to find ‘the next Big Hit,’ too. How exciting is that!
