ASK's comm-ANT-ary on Day #11 of: ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL ©2010

Thursday, August 11, 2011 is Day 11 of the Second Global Celebration of:

ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL©2010

Said HOLIDATE® is being staged for Today & the Remainder of August only because ANTS are so ANTeresting.

TODAY’S THEME:
Everybody has an ANT story. Some are better than others. My First Encounter with an ANT STORY began when my MOM told me about her ANT-rated Tale (although ANTS don’t really have ‘tails’ like dogs or cats do) when I was about 6 – give or take a half century ago –although the SPECIES – all 12,500 of them – dates back some 130 million years – far longer than any T-Rex has been state-side.

MOM’s Story goes like this: She went to a picnic – an ANT dropped into her Ice Cream – only wanted a little Taste, I’m sure. She freaked out – dropped the cone – cone then fed about 10,000 other ANTS swarming nearby. It may have been a plot to cease her Ice Cream. No Ice Cream Cone for Mom…however, THE ANTS had themselves one heck of a Picnic. Ice cream in the 1930s was differANT than it is Today…but it was cold & refreshing as all Ice Creams are since refrigeration was making and leaving its Mark – clear across the ground. Talk about getting cold feet…all 6 of them.

What’s your ANT Story? No, this is not going in to become a CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE ANT LOVER’S SOUL Series…although it could…

Cheers,
