A MUST-READ that I just found on the web about 1 of my favorite: THE LORD OF THE ANTS, Prof. E.O. Wilson of Harvard. Said piece is @: http://bit.ly/oZpaZb - He talks about Biodiversity on this page. I’m sitting here pre-occupied w/ the horrors of what’s happening to our friends & family on the eastern seaboard of the USA as Hurricane Irene works her way up the coast. We know that devastation will be done to humanic places, but what happens to ANTS in their underground? Suspecting they have been here for the last 130 million years, a storm like this probably doesn’t affect them. Also, what about the wild life in the oceans that are right below the Hurricane that’s passing over…do they feel it? So nice to know I can google these questions…
