ASK's comm-ANT-ary on Day #8 of: ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL ©2010

Monday, August 8, 2011: Day 8 of the Second Global Celebration of:

ANT APPRECIATION MONTH INTERNATIONAL©2010

is being staged for Today. Which reminds me of an incid-ANT that occurred last evening:

A torrential Rain tore through Evanston on Sunday Night, where I was standing in an enclosure ‘waiting out’ the storm. I happened to look down and there on the dry pavement was a dead bee - Lasioglossum pavonotum in insectized Latin. A swarm of little red ANTS had spotted the Bug and were checking the BEE out, that appeared to be gigANTic in size and scope compared to them. I had Visions of them hoisting the BEE above their heads and taking it back to The Colony. However, I had to ‘get on getting on’ and don’t’ know about the outcome. Such is the Course of Nature no matter how wet or dry it is ‘out there.’

Cheers,
